Instead of using Bluetooth to pair with your phone it creates its own WiFi network which will require you to join anytime you want to use the device. If you you don’t join the Hvcam WiFi network then you will get the spinning icon in the application that other people have complained about. There is also a clear plastic cover protecting the camera when it isn’t in use which has to be removed when you want to examine something. ### 5/5 — Works great *2020-04-12, version 1.6* I had no problem connecting. Went to wifi settings once downloaded app and turned on unit then go into your wifi settings click on HVcam...... If you turn off unit you will not see wfi settings. HVcam..... Now I have not actually used it yet, as far a the app goes, it worked just fine. Turned on the WiFi and started app up and it worked. The scope is too much magnification for me but not the apps fault, it tries, you can flip in case its mirrored, flip the image, rotate, so for what it is, its OK. The screen did show an unexplained red bar in a corner (nothing about it in the instructions). Removed the App, charged and discharged the microscope a couple of times just by leaving it on with the LEDs on full brightness, reinstalled the App after a clean restart of the phone and it worked fine after that. The red bar on the screen now showing as a fully green (charged) battery icon. Very detailed images at high magnification, so happy with that.
