If I use another thermostat like nest or ecobee, I would lose features like fan speed control. This would be after spending lots more to rewire for those thermostats. At least this one worked ok, but now it doesn’t even open. The app is critical for me because it handles the HVAC systems for a mountain top home, and especially in winter I need to be able to remotely control temperatures in the house.. For over 10 days, the app was unavailable. But today, I finally managed to reload the app. Neither of the dealer, installer or factory rep were able to help. The app failed to load any of my prior information.. It took me three hours this morning to add two of my three thermostats. The third one cannot be added, although at least three of us have all tried. I am getting rid of the HX thermostats because they operate on all this absolutely horrible app. I would give it negative stars if I could! ### 4/5 — Won’t connect *2025-11-17, version 4.0.0* Edit : After an update from app I was finally able to reconnect and control everything again It will not allow me to connect or allow me to log in since a week ago. Before that it worked fine and I could control everything. The app sends a confirmation code but it won’t log me in. There is an indeterminate time frame for resolution and it may or make not work for hours or days or weeks. Not a WiFi issue, all connections work. It never ends with trying to use the app and it puts you back to square one with getting things authenticated again... 9/10, it’s easier to just go to the thermostat and make any changes. So disappointing and so annoying. ### 1/5 — No longer works with Google Home *2026-07-05, version 4.0.0* No support for months now. Customer support (once I finally reached someone) blamed Google. No update. Had I know this, I would have bought a different HVAC. Each login changes the password so forget about saving that info. The thermostat itself gets the same rating if only a little better. Can’t change it out due to system mfgr. The Hx app can change heating and cooling setpoints, and the thermostat responds immediately.
