## What is Hybrid Native?

Hybrid Native is a local-first training log for athletes who train across strength, running, and HYROX-style conditioning.

You bring the program. Hybrid Native keeps the logbook fast, private, and complete. It is an instrument, not a coach.

Strength logging: exercise picker, barbell and sled plate math, rest timer, PRs by absolute load, and Brzycki estimates. Log a normal strength set in under 30 seconds once your exercise is selected.

Running: steady-state and intervals, distance, duration, pace, shoes with mileage, VDOT-derived pace ranges, and mixed mile/kilometer history handled correctly. Import a supported Apple Health run in under 60 seconds.

HYROX: station-friendly logging for sled, sandbag, row, ski, and burpees, plus race planning, run-compromised projections, station splits, and pace tools from your own logged volume.

Body: body measurements and an anatomical muscle loading map that shows where tension is accumulating from recent logged work.

Apple ecosystem: Apple Health workout import, Apple Watch companion controls for active workouts, user-controlled backup/export files, Home Screen widget, and Polish language support.

Data ownership: core training data is stored locally on device in SQLite. Backup, export, restore, and import are user initiated. No required account, no app cloud, no social feed, no advertising tracker.

What it is not: not a coach, not a plan engine, not a recommendation system, not a subscription.

For athletes who already know how to train and want a log that keeps up.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1.3 — 2026-07-17

update fixes Apple Watch run imports and sharpens the training log.

Apple Watch runs import cleanly — no more false "could not be saved" errors and no duplicate entries.
Imported runs keep your notes clean; calories, heart rate, and source are shown where they belong.
Race planner: dates, race type, goal time, taper, and notes are all editable again, with easier-to-hit rows.
Redrawn muscle map: clear front/back muscle groups aligned to the body.
"Add Set" is easier to hit mid-workout.
Long exercise names display in full.
Watch: Refresh now tells you when your iPhone is unreachable.

### 2.1.2 — 2026-07-07

2.1.2 refreshes templates and tightens the daily logbook surfaces.

- Adds new built-in templates: Upper Push/Pull, Lower Body + HYROX, HYROX Full Simulation, Compromised Running, and Sled Work.
- Updates template seeding and English/Polish template names so existing installs can receive the refreshed system templates.
- Applies calmer Settings-inspired controls across onboarding, Home, History, Analytics, data, and logging surfaces.
- Adds clearer race-planning entry points and combined weekly training summaries from logged volume.
- Tightens strength logging with a skinny rest timer bar and no stale target label after the final set.
- Cleans native app, widget, and Watch capabilities for the build-60 packet.

### 2.0 — 2026-07-02

Version 2.0.0 makes Hybrid Native faster to use and easier to trust.

- Faster logging with a shorter onboarding flow, Run-first copy, one-tap Repeat Last, and cleaner workout completion.
- Clearer data trust surfaces with Your Data and Apple Health Status as the main places for backup, restore, import, and Health recovery.
- Apple Health import now recognizes more run/walk labels and gives clearer messages when no supported workouts are found.
- Distance totals now normalize mixed mi/km entries before summing, keeping run totals and shoe mileage consistent.
- Readiness no longer shows a placeholder score before metrics are logged.
- Race Form and Analytics focus on evidence, baselines, sample counts, and chart summaries instead of coaching advice.
- Safer local-first defaults repair Cloud-Lite autosync behavior, shoe mileage totals, and assumed profile demographics.

HealthKit remains import-only. No workout write-back change is included.

This release is a major tightening pass since 1.9.5.

- Logging is now focused around Strength and Run, with retired Hybrid workouts still viewable in History.
- Onboarding is shorter, with optional weight and fewer mandatory education steps.
- Run is now the default cardio path, with Bike still available.
- Strength logging adds Repeat Last, cleaner HYROX-style movement entry, and a single saved completion state.

- Apple Health and Your Data now have dedicated screens for sync status, import, export, backup, and restore.
- Analytics now explains observed race-form context instead of prescribing training decisions.
- Template export/import, Polish wording, Dynamic Type layout, and strength edit stability were improved.
