HOW HYDRATELOCK WORKS

1. Choose the times you want to be reminded.
2. When a reminder begins, HydrateLock starts a 30-second grace countdown.
3. If you have not acted, the reminder becomes a persistent system alarm.
4. Open HydrateLock and show your cup or bottle to complete the reminder.
5. Your local daily progress updates automatically.

WHY DOES IT LOOK FOR A CUP OR BOTTLE?

Because the goal is not to make hydration feel like a test. The goal is to get your drink into your hand.

Once you remember—or physically pick up your cup—you are already much closer to taking a sip. HydrateLock deliberately focuses its on-device recognition on common drink containers instead of trying to understand every possible hydration behavior. This focused approach keeps the experience fast, lightweight, and reliable while reducing unnecessary complexity and mistaken detections.

It is a purposeful product choice, not a lack of intelligence: HydrateLock uses smart recognition only where it helps you act, without adding more work or pressure.

HARDER-TO-IGNORE WATER REMINDERS

HydrateLock uses iPhone system alarm experiences so your reminder can remain visible beyond an ordinary notification. The countdown and active reminder can appear through system surfaces such as the Lock Screen, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island on supported devices.

You always retain access to iPhone’s system controls. HydrateLock does not attempt to block or override them.

HydrateLock recognizes the presence of a cup or bottle. It does not measure water volume, verify swallowing, calculate personal hydration requirements, provide medical advice, or diagnose, prevent, or treat any condition.
