Luckily I was just watering in pelletized carbon soil amendment because otherwise there’s a good chance if it was fertilizer it would have been washed into a pile and likely burned the grass. Connectivity is also an ongoing problem. My WiFi router is just inside the house on the wall between the garage and living space (20’ from controller) and still the connection just disconnects for no apparent reason. When it is connected it’s showing all the bars (great signal) on router and when connecting via the app setup wizard it indicates signal strength is “high”. ### 3/5 — So So *2026-08-17, version 1.0.1226* While having access remotely is great, the app often misreads the weather. I’ll set my watering days or manually setting it during heat waves, from virtually anywhere. It is quick and easy once you’ve named/numbered your zones. For someone like us who is away for periods of time it allows us to see what’s going on with the system, and shut it down if there is an issue while we’re going. Smart (ET) Watering does not support multiple same-day passes via stacked Program Start Times — only Time-Based/Predictive Watering does — yet the app allows the combination without flagging the incompatibility. Program Start Times must be assigned to Preconfigured Schedules rather than individual zones, or scheduling silently breaks. Switching a zone's Watering Type can silently disconnect it from its Preconfigured Schedule, causing zones to stop firing entirely. Finally, the "times per day" setting on a single Program Start Time fires only once — multiple daily runs require separate Start Times combined with "Every Program Start Time," which is not clearly documented. Each of these conflicts produces silent failures rather than warnings, making diagnosis unnecessarily difficult. Clearer in-app guidance, compatibility checks, and alerts when settings conflict would significantly improve the user experience. ### 1/5 — App never connects *2026-08-04, version 1.0.1226* Every time I change the dial on the Controller the WiFi fails and disconnects. Easy to use features and to set schedules. I like the remote access from anywhere in the world in case I have to add extra watering or to pause it. My subscription to the weather monitoring expired which takes away the “set it and forget it” aspect but if you have a smartphone the weather is on there too. Would highly recommend.
