### 3/5 — No widget

*2026-03-01, version 1.4.5*

It says they have a widget yet I have tried multiple times to find it and it is not in my widgets at all. This would help me remember to track. Please fix!

### 4/5 — Can you make the New Drink menu available for customization or create a favorite menu

*2025-04-02, version 1.4.4*

This is a very useful tool to get people to think water or beverages of their choice.

### 3/5 — Just downloaded and already an improvement from others!

*2024-08-18*

I can’t stand apps that make you subscribe or pay for the core function!!! All the other water reminder apps I have tried make you subscribe to get reminders instead of having you pay for the app outright (I cannot afford another subscription at all, I find the apps that do such things to be quite irritating and with my ADHD the reminders are a MUST) I have not used the app for long but the fact it doesn’t make you pay to use what the app was made for is already a step up! May update the review with a higher or lower star rating depending on how good it is long term but currently a three star for the above reason alone.

### 3/5 — Satisfied with app but 1 major issue!

*2024-01-29, version 1.3.8*

In general the app is very good for tracking how much you drink water! But the reminder system is too weak!

### 2/5 — Won’t work with Fitbit

*2023-09-08, version 1.3.8*

Easy data entry of water fluid intake but won’t update in Fitbit.

### 4/5 — Good App but

*2023-02-05, version 1.3.8*

This app is great, the notifications aren’t too much. However, I think too many things are locked with premium. There are 26 drink options in total but without premium there are only 3. The 3 you have are water, coffee and milk. I personally don’t know a lot of people that will drink milk on its own so I don’t even understand why thats on there let alone a non premium option. I think that just the first section of drinks should be available without premium. That would mean 6 so if you got premium it would still be 20 more options. Just a personal opinion however the rest of this app is great and I understand app developers need to make money somehow.

### 2/5 — Was good but not now

*2023-01-08, version 1.3.7*

I have used this app and been happy with it. However I have renewed my annual subscription only to see that there are various prices that are lower than the 19.99 I paid. Worse, although Apple have invoiced me for this amount the app refuses to recognise that I have renewed and on opening always asks me to renew again and it seems to think I have a monthly subscription. I cannot contact the app producers since there is no means of doing so on the app. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app to mo avail and refreshing the app only recognises Montjly subscription which I do not have and the the annual one I have paid for. I am far from happy with this in terms of price and reliability and have asked Apple to arrange a refund and I have cancelled my subscription

### 5/5 — Perfect for Me!

*2023-01-08*

This app changed my bad water drinking habits. I totally appreciate the consistent nudges to drink water. To hydrate my body! It won’t do it for you but if you embrace the intention of the app it will help you keep your body hydrated from the time you wake up to the end of your evening. And it’s customizable. Between MyFitnessPal and hydro Coach I’m a better person mentally and physically. But most importantly, I’m aware of my habits and how to do/be better.

### 3/5 — Good so far, but…

*2022-12-31, version 1.3.6*

Good so far but I don’t really understand what all the different premium payment tiers offer you and can’t seem to find this information anywhere. It’s not in the app, on the website, or even on the google App Store.
I’d like to know what the point of upgrading to a higher trot is before I go ahead with it.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2022-12-03, version 1.3.6*

Great app, the reminders are awesome! I’d like a computer and Watch version though.

### 2/5 — No Apple Watch app

*2022-11-19, version 1.3.6*

It looks like a nice app but doesn’t have an Apple Watch app. That is my preferred method for recording and quickly glancing at my water progress.

### 5/5 — Great app!!!

*2022-09-13*

LOVE this app! I have never truly “tracked” my water intake before. Loving this!!
One of my weight loss goals is to daily drink half my body weight in ounces.
When you don’t “keep track”’you really don’t know how much you’re drinking. This app makes it so easy😎.

### 4/5 — No Watch App?

*2022-09-05*

This one ticks off most of the boxes for me .. easy to use, fair price, except for one significant omission. No Apple Watch app. I am also trying out Water Reminder - Daily Tracker. Unfortunately it stopped allowing access to premium features even though I signed up for trial and subscription. But one thing I liked was it’s attention to detail. Example. If adding alcohol like beer it asks size and alcohol content level to get a really accurate read on water less dehydration. Curious if this app does that too. Anyway. Too bad about the lack of Watch. Otherwise seems pretty good.

Update. Well after trying various apps, got this one for now. It doesn’t provide the depth of drinks of Water Reminder, nor does it have detail like alcohol content which makes difference, but the app works, which unfortunately can’t say about Water Reminder at this time.

This is easy to use and covers what I need for most part. Do wish it had Apple Watch for notifications and quick way to enter info.

### 5/5 — Good for weight loss! Reminds you to drink water!

*2022-09-01, version 1.3.5*

Reminder is all I needed. It also can keep count of the total intake. Its a lifestyle decision.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless unless you pay

*2026-05-19*

Do not download this app unless you’re willing to pay. They have put the most basic features behind a pay wall and they make you say you don’t want to pay every single time the app loads. I don’t have the money to pay for an app to log my water intake. I used this app for a week, but just couldn’t take constant push to get you to pay. So, unless you’re willing to pay $3-20 a month (ridiculous), don’t even bother downloading it.

### 1/5 — UNETHICAL ,THIS IS A SCAM. NO FREE CORE FUNCTIONS. THEY HARVEST YOUR DATA THEN YOU MUST PAY TO USE

*2025-10-08, version 1.4.4*

UNETHICAL APP, STAY AWAY, who is giving all these glowing reviews to an app that makes you create a profile to only then tell you it's paid?
LETS BE CLEAR IT IS UNETHICAL TO PROFILE YOU WITHOUT TELLING you FIRST IT IS A PAID APP. NO FREE CORE FUNCTIONS.

### 1/5 — PAYMENT NOT OPTIONAL

*2025-07-31, version 1.4.4*

There is no free version of this app. You have to pay to even get to try it out for longer than the measly 3 day free trial. Not worth even downloading.

### 1/5 — Requesting more money

*2023-01-11*

I paid for a year subscription a couple months ago now suddenly every time I open the app it tries to get me to upgrade even though I already paid. I even clicked the restore button but it still doesn’t work. I still get the ads. But it does say under settings that I have a premium subscription. So why do you keep showing the premium ads?

**Developer response:** Hi, I'm sorry for the annoyance, this has been fixed in the latest version!

### 1/5 — Subscription required

*2021-04-22, version 1.3.3*

Very misleading. If you're going to charge then don't call it a free app. Try to have some ethics.

### 1/5 — My App is crashing

*2020-08-11, version 1.1.0*

When I try to use the app it crashes. I’ve tried reinstalling it and nothing happens, it crashes every time I open it up.

It won’t let me set my profile up, I’ve never seen the UI up and running!!

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2020-05-14, version 1.0.0*

Keeps crashing whenever I try to open it.

### 1/5 — Absurd

*2020-05-11, version 1.0.0*

Not every insignificant app should have a subscription. This is ridiculous.

### 2/5 — Couldn't use it..

*2025-12-11, version 1.4.5*

So it asks you all these health questions. I'm fit and healthy, go to the gym 4 times a week. Just need something to nudge me and say "oi... water!". You get to a part where you have to check either diziness or lightheaded, muscle cramps ir spasms, rapid heartbeat or palpatations, feeling feint or dizzy. You cannot select none of the above.. so seeminly this app is assuming I'm obese (I'm not) and need a lot more help than I actually do. Looked good, not used. Devs, maybe think about having a simple and easy setup to override all the faff?

### 2/5 — Irritating

*2025-06-13, version 1.4.4*

Constantly prompting for premium is making me consider dumping the app.
I’m evaluating a number off apps, the nagging could rule it out before I have had the chance to test sufficiently. 🤷

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Just started using

*2026-03-08*

I just needed to find something that would help me track all intake levels of hydration since I am someone that needs to keep up with my low carb diet. I only drink morning coffee then will move onto herbal tea in the afternoon. I have discovered this app is just wonderful for helping me build up hydration as my health is in need of having this take place. Thank you so much for having a great app to help me with keeping track of water intake throughout the day!

### 5/5 — Hydro Coach

*2025-12-25, version 1.4.5*

I drinking water it is good for you to drink lots and lots of water every day

### 5/5 — Hydro

*2025-11-19, version 1.4.5*

It’s really cool and it works for me!

### 5/5 — Best habit’s app I’ve had

*2024-10-25*

This app makes me feel extra motivated, because the sweet and simple reward of finishing that last cup of water and typing it in is just perfect. It’s almost stress reliving to get it off my daily list and feel accomplished. I’d also really like to add that Hydro Coach is really simple and efficient for my mental health.

### 5/5 — AWESOME!!!

*2024-07-08, version 1.3.8*

I love this app! It is so helpful to remind me to drink water! I enjoy the lifetime rankings and after a couple years, I am nearly at the Whale ranking. It keeps me motivated and is a very well designed app, highly recommend. 😁

### 5/5 — The perfect nudges to keep me hydrated!

*2023-04-27*

Drinking enough water has always been a struggle for decades. I usually forget until it’s I’m super thirsty at night, or heads down in a project deprioritizing it, much to the chagrin of my health. Hydro Coach gives the perf reminders through the day. The visual representation in the app makes it feel fun rather than just another chore or a naggy task.

### 5/5 — Best water tracker!

*2023-04-22, version 1.3.8*

This is an amazing app. Really clever as it works out how much you need and sends you notifications when you should drink based on the algorithm. You can also track coffee and alcohol and it will deduct the dehydration effects of these drinks and how much more you need to drink. It is also good at recognising favourite drinks. The design is great too.

### 5/5 — Just get it

*2023-03-03*

This is a fantastic app, it’s directly to the point and you can track your months and it’s just easy to use. Highly recommend

### 5/5 — App fixed

*2023-01-14*

The issue of the app showing a nag screen to upgrade even though I have a subscription has been fixed. Thanks for the prompt attention to this issue. I have changed my rating to five stars. This app really helps me stay hydrated.

### 5/5 — Great little app!

*2023-01-09, version 1.3.7*

Does everything I need it to do, good level of reminders, nice design!
