## What is Hydro?

Big videos and photos fill a phone faster than anything else. HydroPress makes them smaller, on your device, without making them look worse.

MEASURED, NOT GUESSED

Most compressors pick a bitrate and hope. HydroPress trial encodes a sample of every file, measures the result against the original, and keeps the smallest setting that still holds up. If a file is already efficient, it says so and leaves it alone rather than re-encoding it for nothing.

NOTHING LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

Compression runs entirely on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, using Apple's own media frameworks. No uploads, no servers, no account, no sign in. Your library is never copied anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.

SEE WHAT IS ACTUALLY BIG

Sort your library by size and filter to everything over 50, 100, 250 or 500 MB. The handful of clips at the top are usually most of the problem. Every compressed copy is badged with what it saved, so you can see what you have already dealt with.

YOU CHOOSE WHAT HAPPENS TO THE ORIGINAL

Keep both copies, or replace the original. If you replace it, iOS moves the original to Recently Deleted and holds it for 30 days, so the space is not back until you empty that album. HydroPress says so plainly rather than claiming a number it has not freed yet.

CAREFUL WITH THE THINGS THAT MATTER

Compressed copies keep the original date, location and favourite status, so your timeline stays in order. Live Photos, ProRAW and cinematic clips carry data a re-encode would destroy, so they are flagged and skipped rather than quietly ruined.

ONE PURCHASE, IPHONE AND MAC

HydroPress Pro covers both apps. The Mac version adds a Files tab, so you can drag in videos that are not in your photo library at all.

FREE

Compress up to 5 photos or 1 video in a run, at High quality, as often as you like.

PRO

Unlimited batches. Medium and Low quality tiers for much deeper savings. Resolution and frame rate caps, codec choice between HEVC and H.264, HEIC or JPEG output, HDR handling, and the option to strip location data before sharing.

Available as a monthly subscription or a one time purchase.
