I’ve downloaded this app maybe back in 2024 I saw plenty of opportunities and none of the managers or etc gave me the chance to show my capabilities. You have to give a person the chance to conclude if they are acceptable or not. I had deleted the app because it’s not fair to see all of the opportunities showing & no one gives you the chance. (Maybe they are only selecting certain people they have already met, if that’s the case. Hire them permanently and give other people the chance). I’m going to redownload this app to give it 1 more try. Please notify the tasker before a task starts as to whether or not a survey will be done. Makes it very difficult when trying to complete a task and finding out you needed pictures of before and after. There is never any work in Chicago city limits when we have Meijers. And the work they have it’s impossible to make it there with the early 6-8am time or late 10pm-11pm timeframe. I paid my background for nothing and was hoping since I had no luck years ago with this app that it would have better gigs but nope. I remember one Meijers in the city had with every blue moon but now it’s nothing accessible to get to. I read the feedback from Hyer. None of those 70 jobs are not in the city of Chicago! They are all outside of the city approximately 2-3hrs drives to get there from the city. The only tasks showing is coming from Meijers. For example, there’s a Meijers on Evergreen on 95th and Western, which is in the city, and it’s never on the app. I used to see 4yrs back but now it’s never there. They need tasks that actually in the city. ### 1/5 — Theif *2025-08-26, version 1.157* Took my $5 for background check but won’t approve me for any jobs ### 1/5 — Being regect with noreason *2025-08-14, version 1.155* I joined the Hyer app eager to work, with a clean record, a passed background check, and a willingness to take on tasks. At first, I completed two assignments successfully. However, after that, every single task I applied for was rejected without explanation. What’s troubling is that I feel my appearance may have played a role in these rejections. I have met all qualifications, kept my profile honest and professional, and maintained a good standing with no complaints or violations. Yet, I’ve been denied opportunities over and over again. It’s extremely discouraging to be shut out of work when you’ve done nothing wrong and you’re ready to perform. If this app is supposed to be an equal-opportunity platform, then all workers should be given fair access to tasks without bias or discrimination. Until these issues are addressed and transparency is provided, I cannot recommend Hire to others. This is sorry ### 1/5 — Can’t update *2025-06-11, version 1.151* My iPhone won’t allow me to update the app without a card on file. Well don’t haves any money on the card to put it on file. So without updating the app I can’t use the app to make money to put a card on file. So it’s essentially not a good working app if I can’t operate it without updating it to make money. It’s essentially a waste. Also none of the shifts that post actually pick you. But they post every single day as if they need help but then you apply and you’re not picked. Not sure if it’s a racist thing or not. But they would rather not have anyone for the shift than to pick someone that’s. Applying to stock a shelf in a gas station. So you really can’t plan your week off of this app. If you cancel one shift you’re suspended from scheduling anything else for 5 days. And their is no one to contact about it. A lot of the jobs are locked in with one person at a busines. Out of 1 year having this app I only secured one shift. Other gig apps are first come to accept work gets the job first. No apply and wait several day in limbo just to see that Terence is on all the shifts. Maybe if he’s sick we can let you work a day. Not for me though. Here is what I do to make sure I get picked. 1 i never complain. 2 i do the job correctly the first time and don’t slack. 3 I don’t take breaks lunch or use the restroom. 4 i thank them for allowing me to come in before I leave. I call in when I don’t get picked and ask if they need help. For instance on New Year’s Eve I called and said hey I know people wanna have fun tonight and will likely call off. So if you need help I will come in immediately. They had 4 call offs. I just brown nose and after 4 nights I got labeled reliable. I’m in there helping customers like I really work there. Play your part to win.
