How wonderful and convenient to have your hymnal on your iPad. This is a full featured complete UM eHymnal with professionally typeset (not scanned) 4-part harmony music scores and lyrics that are ultra sharp and clear. Contains all of the 677 hymns from the United Methodist Hymnal®. As a bonus, about 120 of the hymns have professionally recorded organ accompaniment. Use the accompaniment for congregational singing, or to meditate on during your personal devotions. No internet connection is needed to use this hymnal after installation. 

The user interface has a clean look with no ads, and very easy to use. You can quickly and easily find the hymn that you want either by selecting from the alphabetical index of hymn titles and first lines, the numerical index of hymn numbers based on the United Methodist Hymnal®, or your own bookmark list. There is a full featured bookmark list for you to add songs that you need for quick access. Use the search feature to quickly search for words in the title or first line, or just enter a hymn number to jump directly to that hymn. You can also swipe left or right to go to the next or previous song just like turning pages in the printed hymnal. But what is even better is that the swipe turning sequence can either be in numerical hymn number order, alphabetical hymn title order, or bookmark list order. Zoom in for larger notes and texts both in portrait or landscape orientations. 

God has given me two talents-music and computer. I have been a church pianist and organist for several decades, and professionally, I am a computer professor. So putting these two talents together, I have personally written this app and recorded all of the hymns to be a blessing to others. I hope that you will like it and be blessed by it. As a clergy person, I love having this app on my iPad. I also have a Bible app and the two are invaluable when I am on a retreat or visiting sick or home bound. That being said, I wish this app had all the pages including the Psalms, the Creeds, the Communion and Baptism services, as well as all the indices in the back which are useful when trying to tie hymns with scriptures.  I know this is an “unofficial” hymnal app and maybe that’s why the entire hymnal isn’t included. So maybe this is the UM Publishing House opportunity to create an official hymnal app. It would be nice to also have an official Book of Worship app.

It just doesn't have everything in it!  It makes it frustrating

Why does it jump out of the app back to my home screen when I try to enter a hymnal number.  I tried deleting app and re-download but it hasn’t fixed it.  Please help

I use this app on a weekly bases. Initially I had a problem with it but turned out to be an IOS issue. Customer service responded in a timely manner and checked back with me to make sure my problem had been resolved.

I like the app and use it multiple times during the week.  As the music minister at our church I have found the app to be very helpful, but,  as others have pointed out, there are no responsive hymns in this version of the hymnal or anything else having to do with the order of worship.  

My "little old lady and gentlemen friends from the places I play really enjoy singing these hymns and when I'm outside, I don't have to worry about music blowing away or out of place.

I got this app to help me in selecting hymns for my services when I'm preaching. What would make it great is if it had more playable samples  of the hymns!  Though, overall, I am very happy with it.
