## What is Hyperlay?

Hyperlay Enterprise is a rigging app that helps you automate calculations of various aspects needed in the pre-production and load-in phase of setting up a show…and much more. 

Hyperlay has already saved experienced riggers, productions and venues hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars setting up their shows. Hyperlay is built for riggers by riggers.

Feature Highlights:

- MARKOUT LIST:
Creates a sorted markout list. X- and Y-coordinates are translated into US/DS and SL/SR and points are automatically grouped. Small tolerances are automatically filtered out, so all point within 50mm are grouped together. Minimize errors and time used for chalk out with this functionality. SR or SL points can be filtered out to make it possible for two riggers to chalk out on the same dataset on bigger productions.

- OVERLAY:
Hyperlay automatically creates a zoomable venue overlay with tappable points for your show. The overlay has an option to show the points with symbols as a default overlay, or as a heat map where heavy point loads are red and the lighter points are yellow.

- BRIDLE CALCULATIONS
Hyperlay can automatically creates individual bridle assemblies. The bridles are automatically calculated based on hook height or bridle drop. But the user can easy adjust the individual assemblies to their needs and the total steel count are updated instantly with every change you make. Hyperlay even utilizes the iPhone's gyroscope to orientate the bridle correctly within the venue to avoid wrong configurations. Accurate calculations gives increased safety and reduces load-in time of the production and needed WAH.

- STEEL COUNTING
Automatically count points and calculate the steel count of the entire setup including wires, chains, shackles, master links, and even burlaps. Available steels are selectable by the user. Steels are divided between 1- and 2ton equipment, displaying an individual steel counts for 1- and 2ton equipment. Link size of non standard deck chains can be adjusted to maintain accurate calculations on that type of equipment. You can even export your steel count as a PDF.

- BUILT-IN UTILITIES:
Need to measure the distance between two objects in the Overlay? Hyperlay lets do that with just a couple of taps! Select the Tools in the Overlay tab and select the "Distance Tool". Other built-in tools includes a "Load Tool" (to view combined load on a point/beam) and a "Bridle Tool" (lets you attach legs of a bridge to another beam).

- LOAD DISTRIBUTION
Automatically calculates load distribution to the roof structure. Forces are summed on all objects in the load path. To display the combined load on a beam or a secondary steel, simply tap on it in the overlay.

- UNITS SWITCHER
Switch at any time between meters, millimeters, feet, inches, kilograms, pounds, kilo-newton and tons. From any location in the app.

- PROJECT SHARING
Hyperlay enhances your workflow by allowing you to share your project with your rigging team. Project files can shared via cloud services like iCloud/Dropbox, or via email. Files can even be shared when you are not on a network using AirDrop.

Not sure who can use this app but I didn’t get a response as an active certified arena rigger in a major city. I get by just fine, it just sounded interesting to try out.
