Have seen progress in just few weeks being a student busy with exams. This is a terrific enhancement. Thank you. HOWEVER, I then downloaded some vocab for offline listening. The app consequently crashed. It would not reload so I deleted the app and reinstalled. The app still will not load in my iPhone. I get a spinning wheel that does not resolve. I know this is a growning pain and am certain you'll get it addressed. If I could suggest that perhaps you start a Discord channel where we can communicate our experience without having to do it in this fashion. That would afford you the ability to hear from and communicate with your members without having to do it in a public forum like YouTube or the App Store. Looking forward to getting the app fixed. Outra sugestão é a adição de um modo escuro. 🙏🏻 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Fancy App that Fails *2026-08-30, version 1.1.1* This App is a poorly implemented knock-off of other apps like DuoLingo that make huge promises that naive learners will buy into… they’ll spend money on this over-priced subscription and waste time and energy only to find they’re results are minimal. Definitely NOT the way to get fluent. The guy who promotes this made a video basically saying “apps fail” but then puts out another app (that isn’t even the best on the market) and says “buy MY app plan”. It’s a snake-oil approach to language learning. I hope users will do their research and find real approaches that actually will work. This is just slick packaging of a learning approach that will fail for the vast, vast, vast majority of people. The only ones that would benefit will be coincidental and wouldn’t need this app anyhow. Very much limited in the non pro version. i would guess the very positive reviews will drop off. The ask price seems excessive to me when you can find the same content on youtube for free. ### 1/5 — Sign up issue *2026-07-27* I tried multiple times to sign up with email but not getting any email and not able to login as well. Seems it stuck. I was told something about my subscription and I sent the email to support with my screenshot. My subscription does not reflect what I was told and I haven’t heard anything back nor is my subscription fixed. Please help. Thank you for your time. ### 2/5 — Ridiculous price *2026-07-30* I was very fond of this app and used it quite often. There were a few aspect which made it feel that the app is still in progress. Now with the new paywall it’s an absolute joke. Paying 10€ a month to unlock 3/4 th of the app?? Which is just an AI voice reading sentences??? A lot of the translations are mediocre and the interface really isn’t worth this much money. I hope they can change something as soon as possible ### 2/5 — Audio Issues *2026-07-15, version 1.0* The concept of the app is amazing, but the audio issues are extremely frustrating. When they fix the audio bugs that cause you to be unable to listen or start any playlist I will up my rating score. ### 3/5 — Good but not the best *2026-08-09, version 1.1.0* They promised unlimited Language Islands with the Pro+ subscription. Even with that subscription, I was limited. ### 3/5 — Has potential *2026-08-07, version 1.1.0* I like the language island concept and shadowing capability. I’m using it to study Japanese. I wish the voice over could be changed like other TTS services. It would also be nice to be able to edit sentences in a language island instead of having to reupload. And I wish we could adjust the sentence order. I’ve noticed when I upload Japanese text, I notice the pronunciation is sometimes off or the kanji is not correct once uploaded. If I were a complete beginner, I would not have noticed these errors. ### 3/5 — An ok app *2026-06-22, version 1.0* I’m a native English speaker learning Japanese. I’d love to give a 5 star because the concept of learning in this manner is very promising and in a lot of ways does work. However it would be a great help if they would add another line with English with the same sentence structure as the Japanese to help figure out which word is which. Until this happens you will be left with googling every word until you have them all written down sucking up a lot of study time. I have made great progress, but stumbled across this app recently. It is fast becoming my “go to” language training system. The app is user friendly and well laid out. The ability to create your own content is simply next level. I’m looking forward to future app updates and the rolling out of new features. Jordan ### 5/5 — Excellent Language-Learning app - Native CarPlay Would Make it Nearly Perfect *2026-08-17, version 1.1.0* HyperLingua is an exceptionally well-developed language-learning app. The interface is polished and intuitive, the audio quality is excellent, and the overall design makes it very easy to incorporate listening and speaking practice into a daily routine. It’s obvious that a lot of thought has gone into both the learning methodology and the user experience. The one feature I would really like to see is a **native Apple CarPlay app**. For language learners, time spent driving is an ideal opportunity for hands-free listening, repetition, and shadowing practice. Bluetooth audio works, but it isn’t the same as having a purpose-built CarPlay interface where lessons and playlists can be controlled safely from the vehicle’s display. Pimsleur has implemented CarPlay very effectively, and it demonstrates just how useful a well-designed, audio-first CarPlay experience can be for language learning. I think HyperLingua would be an especially good fit for this. I contacted the HyperLingua team about the idea and was very pleased to hear that they have now added Apple CarPlay support to their product roadmap for evaluation. That kind of responsiveness to users is another reason I’m happy to give HyperLingua **five stars**. Highly recommended, and I’m looking forward to seeing where the developers take it next. ### 5/5 — Great, improved my speaking skills *2026-08-12, version 1.1.0* Gone through the Vocabulary A1/A2 over multiple times. My speaking and understanding of podcasts improved a lot. I have done Language Transfer, CI and Glossika before. So I knew a lot, but this app activated it. This has replaced Glossika for me and works better.
