## What is Hypertron?

Hypertron is a groovebox for iPhone and iPad that combines simple design with powerful tools for flexible music production on the go.

SEQUENCER
- Create patterns and store them in sequences, takes and groups
- Each pad can have an individual bar length of up to 64 bars
- Last Step function for each pad, enabling polyrhythms ( with Performance Mode setting )
- Duplicate takes and groups with drag & drop
- Switch between 16th and 32nd notes using Split-Step swipe gesture
- Play and record melodies with the virtual keyboard and arpeggiator
- Get creative with an innovative note repeat slider
- Set custom group lengths, measured in bars or steps
- Adjust global swing and set the swing amount for each pad
- Customize pads, takes and groups with colors and rearrange them using drag & drop
- Auto-toggle loops at bar end
- Trigger pads in LIVE mode

SAMPLER
- Record samples using your microphone or USB interface
- Generate samples with AI using multiple models to choose from (requires account registration)
- Adjust start/end positions and add fade-in and fade-out to your samples
- PRO: Slice samples with multi-slice sampling and autoslicing
- PRO: Edit samples in the Sample Editor with multiple tools (duplicate, trim, remove, silence, reverse, normalize, pitch, timestretch, volume)

- Sync the synthesizer oscillators from 32 bars down to 1/32 notes

I paid for the full version and the AuV3 capabilities which is a nice, albeit expected, usability extension at this point. I love how minimalist the interface is. It took a while to really purge the depths because features weren’t immediately apparent to me (all good, I love exploring). But my problem is with how often this app crashes. I’d estimate I’m losing about 2 out of every 5 compositions at this point. I just lost about an hour and half worth of sequencing. I had built up 4 parts for 7 voices and that was after losing 2 parts on the previous session because the app stopped moving through parts 3 and 4 and was stuck on part 1- no way to access the later sequences. So I started over, only to have the whole thing crash down with no recovery possible. This has happened to me in different ways since I downloaded a few months ago. I have a saved track that literally won’t load groups without being stopped and restarted in the middle of play, I have another that won’t load additional groups at all and then the latest total loss of session because of random crashes. I’d say this app (which I want to love because it’s really well thought out) crashes on me weekly. Want to give it all the accolades and tell everyone to buy the full version but unless the stability is improved it’s little better than pretty UI.

Needs last step function for polyrhythm.  Undo button. Some good tutorial videos online. Then I would give a 4 or 5 star .  Can’t get arp to work

Unfortunately on some of the pages I can't see a thing because the colour palette is so dark. Dark numbers on a dark background is not a good thing. Using light mode for the Ipad makes no difference. Please change the colour palette with those of us with less than perfect eyesight in mind. Thank you.
