### 3/5 — App appears dead

*2024-12-05*

Support link here 404’s, and the discord is just spam… it looks great, but a lot of the functionality in the guide appears missing. Other functionality, there’s no guide to. Like the custom enhancements.

Have emailed the devs, will update rating if I hear back!

### 4/5 — I WISH IT WORKED!

*2024-11-09*

This would be the one and only perfect adblock safari enhancing app that we would all need. In fact you should put a price tag on it with a free trial obviously. Everyone would buy it. But the biggest problem is the adblocking even tho you can add your own adblocking filters. This app just wont block all the ads like other app blockers. Like adblock pro. Im sorry.

### 4/5 — 17.4 Glitch

*2024-03-07*

Hyper web having issues with 17.4. Most sites not dark and error showing Hyperweb

### 4/5 — Hyperweb is awesome!

*2023-11-18*

Brought to you by the developers of Insight Browser, it has all sorts of helpful extensions to make your Safari browsing experience more efficient. It’s FAST, too! 2023 Update: PLEASE allow us to MUTE sites like you used to! (I’ve tried to contact developers multiple times about this to no avail.) If so, I’ll change back to 5 stars. Otherwise, love it!

### 4/5 — Unsure About This

*2023-10-26*

It works perfectly fine, I haven’t experienced any issues. A few sites don’t change to dark mode, but I believe that’s down to the programming of the sites themselves.

However, I’m really unsure about what data is stored through this app, does it have access to all of your searches, visited sites etc? does it keep logs? If so, what does it store in those logs? The developers Privacy Policy hugely differs from the App Store privacy labels, so it’s impossible to tell if by installing an extension to remove tracking etc, you are actually enabling further tracking.

Until this is made clear, I will be uninstalling and using more transparent alternatives.

### 1/5 — App is no longer being supported despite multiple major bugs

*2023-07-25*

Long time user of this app -- a few months ago I started seeing that the element picker dialog for block element/autoclicker goes away almost as soon as it appears once an element is tapped on, so it's now impossible to hit "Continue" to actually create the block/autoclick. This has been left unfixed, and now I'm unable to even perform a Google image search without this extension crashing the browser tab, despite the fact that this extension doesn't even do anything with Google image searches. Right now I'm keeping this installed just because it blocks ads on Twitter but it's super annoying having to turn this off every time I want to do an image search.

### 1/5 — Invasive “suggestions”, and buggy

*2023-07-14*

Firstly, the web search “suggestions” are just ads, and the developer has insidiously tried to prevent disabling them by requiring you to click through to a page to individually disable each of dozens of them.

Secondly, I can’t go to the second page of Google search results unless I disable Hyperweb. Any attempt to go to a different results page than “1” redirects to 1.

### 1/5 — Broke google image search and poor support response

*2023-07-09*

So hyperweb is completely breaking my google image search. Page reloads twice and throws "a problem repeatedly occured" for every single google image search.
Tried joining their discord server and worryingly its full of spam bots. No response from the devs either on the discord server.

Avoid!

### 3/5 — Safari on Mac

*2023-06-23*

Will use it when it’s gonna be available on safari macOS, one day maybe. Until then 3/5.

### 3/5 — Superb, but needs iCloud Sync

*2023-06-16*

Does exactly what it claims. I've found other ad blocks for Safari are too aggressive.

Hyperweb doesn't seem to outright block websites like others do.

Biggest negative and it's a big one, no iCloud Sync. If I tell Hyperweb to not use content blockers or only load in darkmode on my iPad, I have to manually update my other devices.

### 3/5 — Sort of works

*2023-05-13*

More Actions > Block Elements never works for me. It just highlights some element and blue and that’s the end. I have to reload the page to make the blue highlighting go away and the element is not blocked. Hyperweb comes with dozens of “search enhancements” enabled that are irrelevant to me. These “enhancements” clutter Google search page with irrelevant results. Have to click into EACH ONE INDIVIDUALLY to disable them. Very annoying. The idea of doing search better than Google is amusing to me. Overall, not really sure what benefit this app provides. Maybe document the Block Elements using tap feature better.

### 4/5 — Auto click and block element window dismissed

*2023-04-14*

Everything in the app works great as far as I am aware. The only thing is that whenever I am in safari and I click the puzzle icon to view the extensions, then click Hyperweb, and I use the “Autoclick Elements” or “Block Elements” and then click on an element, the window pops up at the bottom and disappears really quickly. I thought that it could’ve been conflicting with other extensions, but I disabled all of them except for Hyperweb and the problem still persists. Can anyone help me?

Also, how do you view the suggestions that it shows in the description of this app?

### 4/5 — Super wicked deadly brooooo

*2023-03-24*

This app has truly chsnged the way I look at the inter web expirence that is safari and what it provides….dooo it

### 1/5 — Blocks wrong pages

*2023-03-23*

I opened Images in Bing search engine and this app blocked that entire page from opening.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — causing ‘a problem repeatedly occurred’ safari error

*2025-01-30*

i could not figure out what was causing this error for the longest time. only stopped happening when i uninstalled this extension. i really did like the extension, so i’m a little sad i can’t use it anymore because it causes this error.

### 1/5 — Hyperweb rocks you worldwide

*2025-01-17*

Hyperweb is the star of my iPhone. It gives someone who has hacked my device a new option to take over a high security iPhone without becoming noticed to the user who has been trying to get rid of her from his device or actually kill a person without being caught. I recommend Hyperweb to anyone that wants to be hacked forever

### 1/5 — Not working for me

*2024-08-04*

I’m unable to get the custom script to execute or the advanced enhancements even with a simple rule that should apply on any url as a test

### 1/5 — Overriding not doing anything.

*2024-07-04*

Following instructions to change search engine but still goes to system default

### 1/5 — Doesn’t seem to work anymore

*2024-05-01*

None of the ad blocking or anything else seems to work anymore

### 1/5 — Seemingly abandoned by devs

*2024-04-14*

As many other reviews have noted, this app has not had any updates at all for over a year now and moreover no longer maintains an accessible & up-to-date privacy policy. None of the ad filter lists update anymore & haven’t for months. It’s unfortunate since I did actually like this app’s extensive features/functionality; however, the current lack of updates & radio silence from the devs is always a sketchy situation & doesn’t bode well—take my advice and move on.

### 1/5 — ⚠️Warning: Developer/Company Seems To Be Defunct

*2024-03-15*

While other users have noted that there has not been any updates to the app for a while and that the app’s privacy policy leads to an inexistent/unreachable website, I found some additional evidence that the developer is MIA (I hope they are okay).

The developer’s website and privacy policy page currently have an invalid security certificate that expired back in February 02, 2024. It was last renewed on November 23, 2023 using a Let’s Encrypt 90-day certificate, which are usually renewed automatically. This is a pretty good indicator that the website has been completely abandoned.

The same thing goes for the developer’s other app’s website for Insight Browser. Its website certificate was last issued on November 14, 2023 and expired on February 12, 2024.

I would say be careful of continuing to use the app. Hopefully the dev didn’t have something terrible happen to them.

### 1/5 — If You Value Privacy At All — Avoid This App

*2023-09-24*

On the app’s download page, the developer gives the impression that they don’t collect much data and that what they do collect is anonymous. This is HIGHLY misleading, and this practice should be banned by Apple. In the developer’s privacy policy, which has to be typed + opened separately in a browser (something they know most won’t do), the astonishing amount of data this extension collects is revealed. This app, as others have pointed out, essentially spies on EVERYTHING you do in your safari browser. “If it’s free, you’re the product” definitely rings true for this app. User beware!

### 1/5 — What the heck is this thing doing?

*2023-09-02*

It seems I'm having the opposite experience the app intends. It breaks the Internet on my phone when I use Safari. Sites just break. Lots of sites. They crash. Links don't work. They get stuck in endless loading loops. Pictures won't load. Video won't play. Using Google search on Safari with this app is like using dialup from 1993. I don't know what it's doing for all the five-star reviewers.

If I use another browser without Hyperweb, everything works fine. If I use Safari without Hyperweb, everything works fine. The second I start using Hyperweb, Safari is a dumpster fire. Pretty clear correlation there, and I'm not tech-dumb. So what's going on?

### 1/5 — Works, if you don’t value your privacy.

*2023-07-30*

If it’s free, you’re usually the product. They essentially spy on all of your activity on Safari. As per their privacy policy:

"Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device."

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2024-10-05*

As long as you remember not to activate everything, this app is awesome! I'm using iphone 15 pro max with the newest beta of ios 18 and hyperweb takes what I hate about the internet and makes it go away. Loooooooove! But when you turn on too many settings, it can really cause some glitch grimlins to appear to try a few settings and see how things go. Then try some more. Don't turn on a million. Lol. Byeeeee!

### 5/5 — I appreciate

*2023-12-15*

Glad

### 5/5 — i love this

*2023-11-05*

thank you for making safari not suck <3 appreciate it

### 5/5 — It’s absolutely amazing.

*2023-07-21*

Sexy Af

### 5/5 — Great featureset

*2023-03-31*

Allows for so much improvement to Safari. Only real issue is the payment model- a subscription really isn't acceptable for this product. I would gladly pay once in the range of $20–50.

### 5/5 — Hidden gem

*2023-03-19*

Recently went back to Safari as main browser and now testing ad and annoyances blocking extensions.
I am very impressed with Hyperweb so far, as while there are other good ad blockers, this one has so much more capabilities and features! At the moment I have turned off everything else and I am quite happy with Hyperweb as the only extension.
Perhaps the app store should give more details about all the amazing features since at the moment, the app description is almost non-existent.
Thank you developers and please keep up developing this excellent app!

### 5/5 — Phenomenal

*2023-02-25*

The app is fantastic, I bought a subscription just to support ongoing development even though the premium version doesn't seem to add a lot of features for me personally.

The only two minor annoyances I have with the app are that 1) it doesn't seem to be possible to deactivate all "search enhancements" at once and 2) it doesn't seem to be possible to sync the configuration across devices via iCloud.

### 5/5 — I haven’t done much at all with Hyperweb, of yet

*2023-02-23, version 1.1.30*

After having thi I’ms iPhone for six or sevebnn months, I finally got on the internet immediately after downloading hyperweb. That alone is a super start with HYERWEB!!!

### 5/5 — Actually incredible.

*2023-02-07*

AND ITS FREEEEEE

### 5/5 — Lots Of Features

*2023-01-08, version 1.1.30*

i don’t understand all the features but i can feel the difference. my search and browsing experience is better than before i added hyperweb.
