I really enjoy this game and want to keep playing it regularly, so I hope the developers consider translating it…！🥺 ### 5/5 — Amazing game! *2026-07-25* This is one of the most innovative game I’ve ever played. As players, we literally go back in time with a FULL operating system from the 90s. The websites, training videos and interface are stunning. The characters are endearing and the music is really memorable (especially the Hot Dad tracks!) So far this has been an excellent port. I’m beyond excited I can now play it again anywhere at any time. The only negative I can think of is that it can be hard to recognize what can be clicked in a page, as you don’t get the feature of hovering a mouse pointer over page elements to find links when you play via touchscreen. An alternate universe take on 90’s internet filled with laughs, tears, intrigue, and the overhanging melancholy of a bygone era. If you’re on the fence about this game, just go listen to the MASSIVE ost, it’s one of the best soundtracks for a game out there. To me, this game is beyond just a mere “simulator” game. It’s more like a classic point and click adventure with a very convincing emulation of old 90’s PCs and early internet personal webpages (like GeoCities and Angelfire), but with a dreamlike sci-fi twist. Give it a try, but be prepared to read a lot. This game is chockfull of reading material. It’s worth it though, as you gain insight and even grow attached to certain HypnOS users through out the game. Very charming and endearing how well they emulated the early internets innocent nature as well as its seedier sides. Overall, this is a premium package I come back to at least once a year on PC, now I can take this gem with me in the go~ ### 5/5 — Incredible game *2026-07-23* I remember seeing this game when it was on preorder and I thought it looked so cool. Playing the game I realized that cool was only the start to describe this. The opening alone made me realize how much effort would have been put into this game and going through the different pages is really fun. I can tell that this game was made from such an appreciation for the early years of the internet. And I like how it’s not super easy to find the flagged content, making it where paying attention and taking your time to read actually helps with finding info. Not too far into it yet but I’m hoping there is some randomization on new playthrough’s to keep it fresh. But: this port is not especially well optimised. I played it on a 17 and within 10 minutes the device had heated up to an unbearable degree that it actually hurt to use the touchscreen! Not only that but it’s such a heinous way to play this great game. If you don’t have a controller, avoid this port. Could you try deleting and reinstalling the game? ### 4/5 — Near-perfect port of a great game *2026-07-23* I’ve enjoyed playing Hypnospace on both the Switch and the Mac, and am loving this iOS port! The only issue I have currently is that there appears to be no voice options for HYPII. I hope this can be rectified in a future patch/update. Playing this on an iPad with a Magic Keyboard Folio attached feels like the closest to an authentic ‘90s experience, outside of getting the game running on an original G3 iBook. I can see this becoming my favourite way to play the game. If it were possible for this version to run on the MacBook Neo as well that would be an added bonus, as the Mac version doesn’t run too well on the A18. ### 5/5 — Great game but needs better mouse controls. *2026-08-10* This is one of my all time favorite games. The port from PC to iPhone is very good. I do have one criticism. On iPhone, the buttons and stuff on your desktop are very small. And whenever you touch the screen, the mouse jumps to be directly under your finger. This causes a problem because your finger is hiding where you want to click so you can’t see where you’re clicking. I’d like to see the option to be able to just press and drag anywhere on the screen to move that mouse around without it jumping to underneath my finger. That would make clicking on buttons and moving apps around on the desktop much easier to do. The way it is now, for instance, moving the music player around on the desktop, or clicking its’ controls, is very very, difficult. Also, I found a bug. The “Squishers Rap” video crashed when I tried to play it. The window popped open, and the video didn’t play. It was just.. black and empty. But the music was playing. The music kept playing even when I closed the window and it wouldn’t stop until I physically closed the game. ### 5/5 — One of my favorite games *2026-08-08* I really love all the music this game has, lot of different genres! A wonderfully deep world and a satire of every online community I’ve ever been part of. It works very well on mobile and tablet (which is the first place I've heard of it) and is a breath of fresh air among games on mobile devices. I can tell a lot of love went into this game. The premise is unique and it really captures that "anything is possible" feel of the internet I grew up with. I'm really excited to continue exploring it, it's very immersive. Great job devs, what a beautiful game! ### 5/5 — Hilarious trip down memory lane to an alternate past *2026-07-27* I’ve played Hypnospace Outlaw on PC and I was surprised to hear it got a mobile release. It’s a really neat puzzle game that lets you experience late-90s and early 2000s nostalgia for an alternate past. The writing is extremely funny, some of the pages are downright nonsensical, but it all works to remind you of an era that some people (including me) look back on very fondly. Those of us who experienced that era almost assuredly encountered people like the characters in the game, or they might even remind you of a past version of yourself. The music is so good, even when it tries to be awful (I’ve listened to Seepage way more than I should). Some of the songs will stay in your head for a long time. This is really special game that is well worth your time and money.
