## What is HypoMe?

Most tracking never ends. You log, and log, and one day you stop — no closer to knowing whether it worked. HypoMe is built the other way round: one question, a set number of days, an answer at the end.

Does cutting caffeine after 2pm actually improve YOUR sleep? Describe the goal in plain English and the AI Experiment Designer turns it into a full experiment — intervention, outcome, baseline, run length. Record a few ordinary days as a baseline, then make the change and check in for about ten seconds a day.

On the date you set, HypoMe compares baseline to change and tells you what happened in one sentence. You add your own takeaway beside the statistical one, and keep what worked as a practice with a reminder and a review date. The check-in streak tracks how consistently you logged — it is not the goal, and the run ends either way.

You can run a full experiment without an account. An account adds sync across iPhone and the web, publishing, and Premium.

DESIGNS THAT HOLD UP
- Crossover (A/B/A) designs that test whether an effect really repeats (Premium).
- Blinded runs — HypoMe seals which container is which until the end (Premium).
- Two to five outcomes at once, and custom scales in your own units (Premium).
- Confound tagging — flag travel, illness, or disrupted weeks so they don't muddy the data.
- Apple Health — pick a HealthKit metric (sleep, steps, HRV, active calories) as your outcome.

WHAT YOU GET AT THE END
- A plain-English verdict: direction, magnitude, effect size, and trend, with Cohen's d and standard deviation behind it (Premium).
- "Inconclusive" treated as a real result, with an explanation of why.
- AI Results Interpreter (Premium) — phase-by-phase breakdown, confound patterns, adherence impact, what next.
- A findings ledger where every completed run becomes something you know.
- Publish the method behind a result so someone else can run it, or fork theirs.

YOUR DATA, YOUR CONTROL
- Sign in with email or Apple. No social graph, no public profile, no advertising.
- Encrypted in transit. Data between your device and our servers travels over TLS.
- Apple Health is read on-device with your explicit consent for the metrics you pick. Only the resulting outcome value for each experiment day is stored with your entries — never the raw Apple Health data as a separate payload.
- Anonymous community contributions are opt-in. When enabled, only aggregate stats are added to the public community table — no user ID, no experiment ID, no intervention text, no hypothesis, no raw entries. Opt out or revoke past contributions anytime in Settings.
- Export your experiments, entries, and settings anytime as JSON from Settings.
- Full account deletion in Settings — permanently removes your account and associated data.
- Read the full Privacy Policy at hypome.com/privacy.

PREMIUM
- $4.99/month or $29.99/year — first month free on annual. Cancel anytime in Settings.
- Free tier: 1 experiment at a time, run all the way to a verdict; 3 AI designs/month. Nothing about finishing an experiment is paywalled.

Built for people who want to know what actually works for them. No woo, no medical claims, no mystery.

HypoMe is not medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional before changing medications or treatments.

### 5/5 — Caffeine experiment

*2026-06-19*

Been using this for a few weeks to test if cutting caffeine actually helps my sleep. Easy to set up, quick check-ins, and it actually shows you the results instead of you trying to eyeball it yourself. Simple app that does what it says.

### 5/5 — Good App

*2026-05-28*

Good App

### 5/5 — Actually helped me get a clear answer

*2026-05-04*

Used this for 10 days to test whether drinking 1 gallon of water throughout the day actually changed my energy levels. The AI built the experiment for me in about 30 seconds, and the daily check-in took maybe 10 seconds. At the end, I got a clear answer with actual stats, not just a streak number.

I do wish I could rename an experiment after starting it, but overall it made self-tracking much easier than I expected.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.4.0 — 2026-09-21

Your days, counted correctly. HypoMe now starts and ends each day where you actually live — across clock changes, and past midnight — so what you log is what your results report.

• Days that line up with your life — they start and end in your own time zone, including the two days a year the clocks change. Reminders, streaks and experiment lengths no longer land an hour out, and a check-in you open late at night stays on the day you opened it.
• Apple Health sleep counts toward the day you wake up, not the day you went to bed — and sleep already recorded the old way has been corrected for you.
• Results that match what you logged — a fully logged experiment is never reported as cut short, and completeness is measured over the stretch your run actually covered.
• Editing an old check-in no longer marks it as logged late. The record reflects when you first saved it, and existing entries have been repaired.
• Voice check-in handles a hard moment with care — if what you say touches something HypoMe should not try to answer, it shows crisis resources and stops, instead of asking you to try again.
• Crossover designs, fully supported — an A/B/A experiment names and counts every phase, in the schedule, the results and the exported PDF.
• Keep going offline — build an experiment, check in and manage your runs with no connection, and Apple Health imports are saved to your device rather than dropped.
• Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets stay current as the day turns over, and Siri shortcuts reach the right screen from wherever you are.
• Fixed: text now wraps instead of overflowing at the largest accessibility sizes, and returning to a tab no longer stacks a second copy of the app behind it.

HypoMe now requires iOS 16.4.

### 3.3.0 — 2026-08-28

Some days log themselves. When every outcome in your experiment comes from Apple Health, HypoMe closes the day for you — and keeps doing it while the app is closed.

• Passive tracking — point an experiment at Apple Health and it records each day without a check-in. The next time you open the app it asks the one thing it cannot read: whether you actually stuck with the change.
• Two new Apple Health outcomes — body weight and resting heart rate, alongside sleep, steps, heart rate variability, active calories and blood glucose.
• Easier to find — the Apple Health option now opens by default when your outcome is a number, and the other outcome types tell you it is there.
• Baseline from your own history — when HypoMe reconstructs a baseline from Apple Health data you already had, it tells you how many days it imported and lists them on the experiment.
• Rename an experiment after it starts, or after it finishes, so a run you named badly does not stay that way in your records.
• App Lock falls back to your device passcode if Face ID or Touch ID stops recognising you, instead of locking you out of your own data.
• Deleting your account now revokes HypoMe's Sign in with Apple authorization at the same time.
• Voice check-in now works — a packaging fault had left the speech component out of the app since the feature launched, so tapping it closed HypoMe instead of listening.
• Fixed: a check-in logged from a widget or the Lock Screen could be lost during a sync; Settings could show the wrong subscription tier, or warn about a failing payment that did not exist.
• Blinded runs unseal correctly at the finish line, and the weekly summary notification no longer fails to send.

### 3.2.0 — 2026-08-11

Start without an account. Run your first experiment on device, and bring it with you if you sign up.

• No account needed to start — run a full experiment, check in daily, get your result. Sign up when you want it backed up, and everything you've already done comes with you.
• Blinded experiments — design one at hypome.com, then run it here. HypoMe hides which container is which until the run ends, then reveals it. Break the blind early if you need to; either way it's recorded.
• Adopt a result — when something works, keep it as a practice and answer for it in your daily check-in.
• Your findings ledger — every result you've kept in one record, so a year of experiments reads as more than a list of runs.
• A short retrospective at the finish line, while what you noticed is still fresh.
• Publish a protocol so someone else can run your design — or open a shared one and fork it straight into your builder.
• See how much signal a design can realistically produce before you commit to it.
• Plain-language reasons when a verdict comes back inconclusive.
• Button labels now wrap instead of truncating at large text sizes.

### 3.1.0 — 2026-08-05

Easier to read, easier to log. This release focuses on accessibility and everyday reliability.

• Full Dynamic Type support — body text now scales to the largest accessibility sizes without an artificial cap.
• VoiceOver fixes — popovers and fullscreen photos keep focus on their own content instead of letting it wander to the screen behind. Custom scale labels announce which value you're editing, and their add and remove controls meet the 44pt minimum touch target.
• Check-in entry fixes — decimal values stay editable while you type, so corrections like 1.5 to 1.7 no longer lose the decimal point. Durations entered with a leading zero now save the value you typed instead of 0.
• Steadier connection banner — the back-online notice no longer re-announces or overstays when your connection flickers.
• More reliable launch — signing in now works when the app wakes on a locked device.
• Repaired evidence links on several Discover templates.

### 3.0.0 — 2026-07-14

HypoMe on the web. HypoMe now runs in any browser at hypome.com, with one account that follows you across devices.

• Web app at hypome.com — sign in and pick up where you left off, on any device.
• Reminders, voice check-in, and CSV / JSON / PDF export now work right in your browser.
• One Premium subscription unlocks HypoMe on the web and across all your devices.
• Manage your subscription anytime in Settings → Subscription.
