You must keep the app open. If you are using an android however it will run in the background. This is my experience. 2nd: The customer service team is not responsive. I have sent two emails and have not received a response to either and the first email was sent over 30 days ago. Both emails were in regard to the minors not providing the amount of coins they should have from purchasing the minor boost. The $9 boost worked mostly but the $99 boost did not provide the proper amount of mining coins advertised. With that being said I currently hold over the amount of coin necessary to be considered part of the 7th Level tier and receive that boost.
