That yellow paper makes it hard to read readings. ### 3/5 — Won’t restore my purchase *2026-03-18* I think this is the nicest I Ching app around, the only problem is that it won’t restore my previous purchase of a translation, 12€ or so, which I wouldn’t have payed for if I hadn’t thought it would be permanent. ### 2/5 — Hope to get refund to buy full version *2024-11-20, version 2.9* Paid in-app purchase in the free version to be able to read full reading, but did not work, I thought I was getting the full version, but got the light version, If you want the full version to read all make sure you go to the App Store to make sure it doesn’t say light, otherwise it’s a good app to get started 🙏 hopefully I can get a refund to buy the full version, Cheers Sky~ ### 2/5 — App crashes while trying to save journal *2024-05-20, version 2.9* For the past 4 to 6 months this App turns itself off while trying to save my journal edits. It is particularly frustrating when I am writing about deeply important issues and I go to push save and the App just shuts off. I have an iPhone15 with the latest OS etc. Additionally I have written to the App developers about this issue and have heard nothing. The “but” is because I upgraded to premium some time ago but when I changed phones the premium service didn’t transfer. Not getting what I paid for is not cool. But the app is. ### 5/5 — Book of Change is masterfully crafted and accessible to new users *2022-04-23, version 2.8* I first used the I Ching 50 years ago when faced with a decision a friend and I had to make about our next destination from the Canary Islands. We both independently threw the exact same hexagram, however our interpretations of the reading were the exact opposites. My interpretation led me away from the destination we considered and his led to a very negative outcome. The magic here is that, for me, it clarified my thoughts and lead me on a higher path. I am endlessly promoted to restore my purchase, but it never gives me access. It looks like a great version, but I will never really know. This is almost useless now without purchasing the text. The app description still says you get to see the full text, but that is false. Bait and switch. So it’s not actually useful for anything others than giving you an impression of what the full product would look like. ### 1/5 — Does Not Recognize Past Purchases *2019-04-20, version 2.6.1* I have used this App for years (possibly since it was first offered) and like it very much. I have paid for the upgrade version TWICE – the second time because my original purchase was not recognized. Now I find this has happened again and I am not willing to pay a third time. I have searched for a Contact email but there is none, consequently no way to contact the developer/publisher to resolve this problem. I am quite disappointed. Supplying no method to resolve problems via a Contact number or the developer’s email address indicates a certain deliberate cutting off of the natural receptive Flow – a cynicism, so contrary to the ethos and philosophy of the I Ching. In life the open flow of communication between parties is everything. ### 1/5 — What did you do to my app? I want it back! *2019-04-08, version 2.6* I have been using this app for several years. Now after the latest upgrade 2 weeks ago, there is incomplete “teaser” material for the hexagrams, and a link to buy the app bundle if you want to read the rest. No warning. It’s like you stole my app away. This is really in bad faith, app developer! There are many other I Ching Apps available that actually give you what they say they will. I find that it crashes quite frequently which I find annoying, especially after journaling my understanding of a hexagram and then losing it.
