I have many times in my career when thing do not work out as planned. However nothing pisses me of more than the morning of a presentation finding out that the I-Clickr application on neither one my PC’s will open. The app on my iPhone, iPad and PC worked fine for 2 months until this very important day when it did not open and gave a error on my PC. This is why I have given it a low rating.

This is a very useful app that has revolutionized how I do professional presentations. Although it may take a bit to get it set up and connected to my computer (I found the I-Clikr virtual network works best), once you do you can operate a PowerPoint presentation on the computer entirely from you iPad or phone: advance slides, see notes, even annotate or highlight a slide on the screen, and more. Many valuable features that I feel are wheel worth the price. I recommend giving it a try and a little patience, but in the end it works great.

I bought the app hoping to use it the next day for a *huge* presentation. Could not get the desktop client to open. I was really frustrated and sent an email out to the developer while downloading a different free app.  Within an hour the developer had me a new version and I was up and running. It is a little tricky to get going, but once set up, I love the ability to switch between presentations.

I had originally given this app one star, and posted a review that said not to buy it since the helper software that has to be installed on your computer did not work under Windows 7 64-bit with MS PowerPoint 2010.  After playing around with it for an hour, I was able to get it to work but there are a couple of things remember:

1. The presentation that you want to open must be in the "My Documents" folder, or it just will not work.  No error message is displayed; instead PowerPoint will simply refuse to load.  If you are trying to load a presentation from the desktop, it will not work since it must be in either the "My Documents" folder or a sub-folder off of My Documents.

2.  Despite the icon appearing with a shield, do not give the helper software on the PC admin rights since it does not need them to operate properly and it may impare the software's ability to connect up with MS PowerPoint.

Was a complete pain to get my iPhone synced up with my Mac. Gotta make sure that devices are enable, bluetooth is off, have the software on the Mac set to PowerPoint or it will open up keynote and just a few other set up issues.  However after all that it works great. Can't wait to see my students faces when I am walking around the room containing it with my phone

This app is ok for the money but then again in comparison to other apps that are 1/4 of the price...this one works no better.  If the folks at Senstic want customers to stick by their products they should fix this one so it works all the time.  One reason those in the business and educational communities want an app like this is to have the information mobile on them and to share it with others through an app similar to this but one that works most to all of the time.  Thanks for the innovation but take it further and make it more reliable.  I'd pay for it all over again if Senstic would just make sure it funcitons all the time especially with Powerpoint 011 for Mac.  Until then guess I'll be the disappointed teacher who got sapped into this one and still has to be immobile as a glorified mouse clicker with an iPhone.

I really love the app - it's useful, simple to use, and an asset in meetings! 

However, I rate it low because they make you buy a separate app for the iPad. I didn't have an iPad when I first purchased this for my iPod touch. Unlike many companies who have a universal app for the multiple platforms, you have to buy this one again to have it working on separate devices. NOT A FAN. If it were only a few dollars, that might not be an issue. However, at $10, having to buy it twice to work on my iPod and iPad is not good customer service. 

If you're going to keep two platforms, you should gift purchasers the second app when they buy the first one.

I'm sure there's a lot going on under the hood so, not surprisingly, I would recommend reading the instructions... 

Connectivity:
Using it on an existing wireless network is easy, it finds my existing network no problem.
Ad hoc network: once the network was created on the computer side of things I have had no problems what so ever getting my iphone to connect to the network, and getting i-clickr to find the network. 

Bugs: heed their warning about bluetooth. I could not use the app w/ Bluetooth enabled and it did cause some extensive trouble shooting. 

Senstic support: I read some other reviews which were critical of Senstic's support. I did not have that experience, indeed, they replied within two hours to an e-mailed support request and their reply did solve the problem (bluetooth, per above). 

Other problems: I have gotten the error "failed to load slide show, apple event handler error" (not helpful). When I try again it works. Not sure if this is on the side of the app, or within PPT or Apple.

This is a pretty good application! I use it all the time at work! It makes you look very professional when your changing the slides off your phone. The only problem I have with it is that is take forever to establish a connection between the phone and the computer. Other than that, this is an awesome app!

I love it! Here is a suggestion.  Getting notifications made it crash.  When I'm doing a presentation I don't need sports scores.  Perhaps an option to disable notifications when in a presentation.

Otherwise it's awesome!

This is SO close... Still sporadically glitchy, and it needs a few more features, all of which several other previous reviewers have noted, but wow, to have a little presentation mode screen in the palm of your hand to look ahead with is amazing. I'm really hoping the developers tighten this product up, because then it will be worth the ten bucks that I paid for it. I suppose I'm investing in hope here...

This is a valuable tool. The only "downside" is that you have to run another program on your host computer, but it's really no big deal. 

I give presentation at least twice a week and I use this often. It gives me the ability to see my slides from anywhere and I don't have to look back at my screen. This is priceless because showing your back is a big no no in presentation. Truth be told I love the iPad version better because I can see my slides better. But if you don't have an iPad, or using an iPad just isn't possible, this is the way to go.

I had to give a 30 minute presentation the other day. I used this app and I was very happy to see that it worked. I was sweating the fact that my computer didn't have an air card, but there happened to be a wireless connection I joined and everything went as planned. Had there been no wireless connection, I would have wasted money on this app.

I started out with the lite version to see how it would work with both Mac & PC and my school network.  It performed great in all areas so I got the paid version. At first I was having a problem with slides loading on the paid version.  Then I turned off the preload slides feature and it worked perfectly.  This app will be used a lot for instruction, trainings and meetings.  It really does what it says it does.

This app is useless. Definitely not for someone using it in a professional environment when you need things to work the first time. It is completely unreliable and takes forever to try get working. Once you've tried all the connection options you might get lucky but your connection will most likely drop and you'll spend another few hours trying to fix it.

I tried to use this app as a remote to advance slides on a PowerPoint on my Mac laptop and it only lets me open keynote presentations...that support is built into apple software so this app was a waste of money.

I hate to give an app one star because I know that developers work hard on these, but I have to warn you.  This app is very buggy.  I like my presentations to be fluent without technical difficulty.  This app is not the app for that.  This app will freeze up, not open Powerpoints at random, and will not open Powerpoints that have too many slides.  I just broke down and bought another app, which was actually half the price of this one but phenomenal in capabilities, and ability.

Difficult to get the application going.  The user interface and feedback are not reasuring.  And when beginning a presentation, confusion is the last thing you want in front of a crowd.  

Confusing that i-Clickr does not work with the Slide show mode from within Powerpoint.  

Perhaps my arrangement is unusual (non-mirroring of projector with laptop) but I doubt it.  If you can get slide show mode started with i-Clickr, it does not allow the laptop to display in speakers notes mode.  The laptop and projected images must be same with i-Clickr.

Very slow to load slides is you have more than a couple.  Of course the reason to buy the app is use with a large (>15 slides) and then pay app fails to load the slides in any reasonable time.  Now I see a disclaimer on the app description page about turning off Bluetooth.  Lame.

I really wanted to like this app given that ppt is used in all my demos to C level executives - but the issue with sporadic behavior - and the $ 9.99 price have turned me off.  The lite version worked OK so I decided to buy the full version...mistake - it did not behave consistently enough for me.  I can NOT trust this app in a LIVE demo and it potentially giving me technical issues.  The result would be having the audience blame my software for glitches.  Can i get a refund, PLEASE?

After reading the notes about the updates, I was encouraged to buy it. It is an awesome program when it works. I even found a way around playing multimedia files (by changing the setting in PowerPoint to activate the trigger on mouse click). 

Unfortunately, the app crashes pretty consistently, both by losing the WiFi connection (which you can reconnect manually) and by locking up on the PowerPoint side. Both of these problems make it inappropriate for use in front of a live audience which is the whole point. DARN! I hope they update the app soon (having the program automatically restore lost WiFi connections and the other bugs). Otherwise, I'll have to ask for my money back. But I really want it to work. 

P.S. If it could added teleprompter functionality (like AutoCue) for scrolling slide notes it would be really awesome and worth twice the price!

I bought this with high hopes of having it work. I have an iTouch and run Power Point on a Mac BookPro. Unfortuantly, all i ever does is crash after the 8th slide of a presenation. I have tried contacting the company, but to no avail. The product has no reponces on its website to this problem, and i know i am not the only person in my company with this issue. So save your money, and do not buy this product, until they figure out why Power Point crashes when using this product

But I can't tell you how nice it is cuz I can't even get it to function! I have to use the ad-hoc mode, and can't get a connection. To boot there is no phone number to call any tech support and no response to email... This was a WASTE of money so far!!!!!

It's been 4 days now, I'd love to still get it working... Paid a nice price for NOTHING so far... Come on guys... A little communication back to your customers would be nice...

First of all it doesn't actually display any of my slides on the iPhone.  They all appear as <html> or some other low-res meaningless text (really low-res, ugly text).  Second - this app CRASHES PowerPoint on my computer!!  Works for a few slides, and then Blammo, PowerPoint comes up with a notice that it has to quit and stops responding.  Yikes, what a waste of $10.  Compared to the Keynote app that is beautiful, flawless, fast and just $0.99 I just feel ripped off.  I am on a Mac, and maybe this app works better on a PC, but this is just not worth even 1-star.  I suppose I should just use Keynote for everything as it is generations beyond poor ugly old PowerPoint, but for simple stuff I like the security of PowerPoint and knowing that everyone has it installed.  Too bad there isn't a working iPhone remote app yet.

I was looking for a great app to convert my phone into a Powerpoint clicker. This app is great! You can load powerpoints on your computer straight from your phone without having to stand infront of your laptop for forever trying to locate your file while your audience is waiting for you. It also displays each slide's notes on your phone as you go through your powerpoint. This is great because you can easily read notes discretely while presenting if necessary! Great app, wish it were a bit cheaper.

As a person who facilitates meetings and presents presentations for a living, this app makes my job so much easier!  

One suggestion for future update: allow more than one device to connect to the same PowerPoint. This would be amazing when co-facilitating, instead of having to hand off and share an iPad while presenting.

This app allows you to use your own laptop to connect to the projector so everything stays the same. Fonts, backgrounds transitions etc remain unchanged. I lecture and preach and in some venues the connection for the projector is at the back of the hall. The wireless link overcomes this problem. I can also see what is to come and easily move between slides. Really recommend this app.

I have been using this app for 2 years now to give presentations. iPhone 4 and now iPhone 5 with MacBook Pro and office 2011. Every now and then I would have some hang ups, but they always turned out to be something I did. Just recently I updated the software on my MacBook and to my surprise it stopped showing my slides on the iPhone when I was going to present. After some research I discovered that I just needed to save the PowerPoint in presentation mode. It then worked great

I purchased this 20 minutes before a large presentation. Once I figured it out, everything was exceptional! Used iPad gen4 tethered to my MacBook. Need to change security settings on MacBook and load the software from manufacturers site.

I had issues in making this work. HOWEVER I Send an email to the designer of the application.  His customer service and willingness to help is absolutely overwhelming never seen better. If you buy the product and have any problems just email them and Ray will get back to you almost immediately. Just a great product once it starts working

I love this app. Now I don't have to keep running to my laptop every time I want to change my slide.  I like the fact that your iPhone becomes your mouse and you've got control of your mouse. I need this feature to play embedded videos. Best of all.... It's $10. That a lot cheaper than a remote clicker. And... It's 1 less thing I have to carry around and/or lose.

I needed a wireless PowerPoint remote and a backlit prompter screen for giving presentations in less than ideal lighting conditions.  I found this app to be exactly what I needed.  I can access my notes from the same screen I use to control the slides...a very useful app...I recommend it. The only challenge...the wifi once went down in the middle of my lecture...(guess I should have bought the 4g).

This app does exactly what it should do and does it incredibly well. The wifi connectivity significantly increases the range over what Bluetooth would offer. Control is smooth and lag-free and I have only experienced minor connectivity issues when I used multitasking to jump between apps while using this one. 

Simply said, if you need a PowerPoint remote and you have an iOS device, you need to buy this app.

I had an urgent need for a remote to use (pass around) in a group setting presenting PowerPoint Mac 2011 on a MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard).  There was no time to get to a local store but I did have an iPad in the room.  I did a quick search on this kind of app in the app store and felt that i-Clickr would fit the need well and purchased it.  I had absolutely no problems installing it, syncing the iPad to the MacBook from with i-Clickr and enabling my group to be in charge of their part of the presentation from wherever they were in the room.  I especially like the feature that allows you to see not only the slide on display but also the next slide coming up.  While I did not use the notes function, I can see where that could be a big help too.  I also had an after purchase question of their support team and they were extremely helpful and responsive.
