## What is I feel food?

Diets don't work. You already know that.

I feel food is a mindful eating diary built with psychologists. It isn't about counting calories — it's about understanding yourself: why you eat, how you feel while eating, and how to tell real hunger from an emotion.

A gentle hunger and fullness scale, room for emotions and thoughts, and photos of your meals — everything you need to notice patterns and slowly rebuild a calmer relationship with food. No rules, no guilt.

WHAT'S INSIDE:
• A diary with a hunger and fullness scale
• Emotions and thoughts alongside every meal
• Meal photo tracker
• Calendar and weekly observations about your week
• Smart reminders that adapt to your rhythm
• Streaks to keep the habit going gently
• App lock with Face ID, Touch ID or a PIN
• Three themes: Peach, Milk and Cocoa

I FEEL FOOD PLUS (subscription):
Go deeper into your habits and what's really driving how you eat —
• Connections: personal insights that link your emotions to how you eat
• Weekly insights that uncover the patterns you can't see day to day
• Emotion bubbles that make sense of what you're feeling most often
• Hunger and fullness trends that reveal over- or under-eating
• Meal timing patterns: your rhythm through the day and the gaps between meals

Free trial available, plus a better-value annual plan.

*2026-08-02, version 1.17.0*

*2026-03-15, version 1.7.0*

*2025-12-20, version 1.6.0*

*2025-09-05, version 1.6.0*

*2025-07-13, version 1.6.0*

*2025-07-03, version 1.5.5*

*2025-05-09, version 1.5.4*

*2025-04-28, version 1.5.4*

*2025-04-15, version 1.5.0*

*2025-03-25, version 1.5.0*

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.9.1 — 2026-08-26

This update makes saving an entry feel instant, turns Connections' careful analysis into something it actually tells you, and treats a missed day or two on your streak as a stumble instead of a reset.

What Connections has been noticing

Connections has always run real analysis on your entries — comparing your enjoyment ratings, checking how often you're checking in comfortably, watching how your meal timing shifts — but it used to keep the result to itself, wrapping everything in the same cautious phrasing whether or not it had actually found something. Now, when a card has a real finding, it says so: how many points happier you tend to feel, how much earlier your first meal has been landing lately, or how a rough stretch shows up as a dip in your ratings. The gentle question at the end is still there — it's just no longer hiding the part that matters.

Logging that doesn't make you wait

Saving an entry used to mean watching a spinner while it made its way to the server. Now it's written the moment you tap save, with the upload finishing quietly in the background, so you're back to your day right away. Adding food is quicker too: items you've logged before now show up as tappable suggestions above the field, and picking photos from your gallery lets you grab several at once instead of one trip per photo. Your home calendar also reflects a new entry the instant you save it, without needing to flip away and back.

A streak that doesn't punish a bad day

Missing a day or two used to feel like the whole streak was in jeopardy. A short break now gets a gentler nudge to pick back up instead of a warning, and it won't repeat itself if it happens again soon after. Tapping a streak notification takes you straight to where you need to be, and reaching day 15 now shows a direct link to see what that consistency has actually done for you.

Behind the scenes

Photos you added to an entry could quietly disappear from a diary you shared with someone else — that's fixed, so a shared link now waits for every photo to finish uploading before it's created. Syncing also holds up better for accounts with a long logging history, pulling your full record in reliable batches instead of one large request that could stall.

### 1.18.0 — 2026-08-08

This update smooths out a few small frictions that had built up — a streak message that felt like a trap, a reminder prompt that only got one shot, and a settings toggle that quietly went nowhere.

A softer way to decide about your streak

When your streak counter first shows up, you shouldn't have to choose on the spot between committing forever and turning it off. "Keep it on" now sits next to a simple "Not now" — both leave your streak running, while the option to turn it off for good is tucked quietly below instead of competing for your attention. And if you ever sign out and back in, that message won't show up again just because you logged back in.

A better shot at getting reminders

If the first ask for notification permission caught you at the wrong moment, there was no way back in before. Now, as you keep logging entries, iFeelFood checks in again and gives you another chance to turn reminders on — spaced out so it never feels like nagging.

Connections settings that respond

A locked toggle in your Connections settings used to just sit there when you tapped it, with nothing to explain why. Now tapping it takes you straight to upgrading, so you're never left wondering whether something's broken.

### 1.17.0 — 2026-07-24

The headline of this update: introducing I feel food Plus, a new subscription built to help you finally understand your relationship with food — alongside a gentle new way to notice how your feelings and eating connect, and a clearer path back into your account when sign-in goes sideways.

Introducing I feel food Plus — a new subscription

Ever wonder why some days you reach for food you don't actually want? I feel food Plus turns the entries you're already logging into real understanding: weekly insights that uncover the emotional patterns behind your eating, emotion bubbles that help you name what you're actually feeling, hunger and fullness trends that reveal where over- or under-eating creeps in, and meal timing patterns that show the rhythms of your day. It's the same journaling you already do, now working for you. Start with a free trial, then choose the monthly or annual plan that fits — cancel anytime.

Connections, now part of Plus

It's not always easy to see how your mood and your meals connect on your own — the patterns are there, but they're easy to miss in the moment. A new card on your home screen, included with I feel food Plus, surfaces those connections for you: gentle observations about the feelings that keep showing up around your meals, paced so they never arrive when you're not ready for them. You decide how much of this you want — dismiss any card, or turn individual observations off in Settings.

Getting back into your account

A broken sign-in link or a password reset that goes nowhere is frustrating, especially when you're just trying to check in on your day. Magic link sign-in and password reset now work the way they should, and error messages during sign-in reflect what's actually happening instead of a generic registration failure.

Behind the scenes

Photos you add to entries now save more reliably when your connection is spotty, and icons throughout the app have been unified for a more consistent feel.
