This is a paid app. Not an upgrade or lite version. Why do I get an ad? Other issues include: Less than realistic depth and casting perception. Difficult directional control casting. Background assistant should be optional. I don't need someone incorrectly telling me my fish is to small when it's actually the wrong species. Never in any tournament does timeout occur with a fish on line. Nough said there. On the favorable side. Graphic backgrounds are nice. Most of the time landing the fish is ok. Just ok. Some timing issues and line break conditions need help. I will continue to use the app in hopes that future revisions will make this more enjoyable. ### 2/5 — Shuts off in the middle *2015-07-01* It's good ! BUT it shuts down in the middle of anything !! Very frustrating! Paid $2.99 and can't even play it ! And no "contact" option to contact technical support ! Need update or something to fix ! Only get to use a lure 1 tournment and it's gone witch is bogus! Crashes constantly. If you catch a fish that puts you near the top of the tourney, simply close the app and come back in ten min and presto, you have won. The timer does not stop when you close the app. The other thing is that for any fish, hook it, let it take line past 55 and then reel in. Basically works every time regardless of fish species Hopefully it will improve in future updates, but for now I am regretting not purchasing ifishing 1 instead.... ### 2/5 — ... *2014-01-18, version 1.2* It was OK until the "Kids Mode" update was released. Could barely use it and before even catching a fish had to give up. The graphics, if you could even call them that, are a hideous blend with real video that just doesn’t work. I have yet to get through a ten minute tournament without the app closing and bumping me back to my iPhone's main screen. Considering tournament mode is the only mode in the game that lets you unlock items through cash earnings, the game can therefore be deemed "unbeatable". Also, even if the game didn't crash, the developer has removed the beloved boat mode that was in the first I Fishing which gave about twice as much depth and strategy to the game. Why he would remove such a nice aspect of gameplay is beyond me. I can only assume he has done so to make a quick three dollars. I have an updated iPhone 6 that I take care of, so if I have problems running the game so will you. No contact information for support at all - just another thief putting out an unchecked app that doesn’t work. Robbing you blind, 2.99 at a time. Stay away. This one just makes you mad, you get half way through a tournament and it crashes. So sad!!!! ### 1/5 — They Ruined It *2014-04-11* Don't waste your money on this "improved" version. It crashes consistently during play. Tournaments are 10 minutes long and unlike previous versions of this game you may no longer chose where you wish to fish, which challenge to fish, nor can you fish another spot during tournament play. You must win tournament prize money to buy more lures, poles, and fishing line. However these upgrades are $1000's if not $10,000's of dollars and the max you win at a tournament is $300. The only positive thing about this "new" version of the app is kids mode. But seriously it is so not worth wasting real money on. Buy the other two apps not this one. This last instalment of the series is mind blowing, talk about taking apps to the next level. :-) There are a few little issues that I am sure the developers will address, their support has been excellent in the past. :-) Thanks to everyone for all your hard work, it really shows that you care. :-) ### 5/5 — The best! *2014-01-03* It's winter in PA... windchill of 20 below zero... And I'm FISHING! Lol. This game is absolutely fantastic. Graphics and sounds are great. HD movie backgrounds are super realistic, and catching fish is fun! There are a lot of baits and lures, lines, and poles to choose from. You win money playing tournaments to buy better gear. Some fish put up an incredible fight. I caught a 44" northern pike that took me 4 minutes to reel in. Everything is really realistic (other than how quickly you catch fish). But the tournaments are 10 minutes long, so you have to catch quickly. It's more fun that way. I'm playing on iOS7 on my iPhone 4S with no glitches or app crashes after days of fun. I'm soooo glad I bought this game over the other older ones out there that haven't been kept up. The iFishing series seems to be updated often, which is a huge plus! And I would bet this is the best one in the series. I'm happy to be the first to review this! ### 5/5 — Excellent app! Needs 1 fix! *2013-10-21* This is one of the best fishing simulators out there! I played the first i fishing and the saltwater edition. This game is so realistic and fun to play to pass time. One thing they should fix is the occasional crashes.
