### 2/5 — Game changes that took away the fun

*2026-02-06*

In a recent update, the game took away the ability to use the star path. This was what I grew up with. The original board that I remember when I grew up had six players on it and the game took that away. You can now only do six players on the party board. I’m a little disappointed with the updates. I probably won’t be playing this game much more. It really is disappointing now.

**Developer response:** I call the “star path”, corner mode. In game setup -> game play options turn corner mode on to enable the star path. Corner mode can be played with any board and any number of players.

### 4/5 — I nearly love it.

*2019-05-03*

This is super nostalgic for me. My family was a gaming family and before I had a car we would play simple board games at home. I owned this one, and brought it out as often as possible.
So I was very happy to find the one version of this in app form. For the most part this is the game I remember. I like the chance to tweak the look of the board and marbles, as well as the ability to really alter the other players' abilities.
The one complaint I have, and I see this was not addressed in the update, is sound. It gets to me after a bit when everything is totally silent. The die should have a sound, the marbles should make an appropriate click sound as they move around the board. Music isn't necessary, just sound basic sound. Please.
I would also add the ability for the game to play in horizon as well as portrait mode. There are times I wish to play yet have the screen angled upright on my cover but that’s I possible, the game has to be played flat on the able. Not good for my neck.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. I didn’t forget your request. Both IAGGRAVATION 3D and the current iAggravation version 26 now have sound. Portrait and landscape displays are also available on all iPhones and iPads.

### 2/5 — Problems

*2019-01-04*

Occasionally a player just goes around the entire board without rolling the dice. Beginning of the game if you get out on 1 or 6 and have a 4 computer automatically plays forward for you, if you don’t like that move and want to replay then you lose your turn.

### 3/5 — Addicting!

*2016-09-02, version 7.0.4*

This game is addicting and I play it all the time. Only drawback is when it freezes and states "Computer thinking" and then it takes a long time for it to reset itself. Please fix this!!

### 3/5 — Nostalgic!

*2016-08-22*

Aggravation was the game I played with my grandparents, so I have great memories of it. Overall, the app is ok and there are some options to tweak the game to match your family's style. However, I have a few complaints that I wish they would fix. First, sometimes it's really hard to get your pieces to move; I've even had to close the app a few times to unfreeze it. Second, my family plays that you can leave the bonus circle short cuts wherever you want, which the game doesn't allow. It should be an option. Lastly, there should be an option to enter the center circle from any point on the board and exit onto any circle corner. It makes the game much more challenging and competitive.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2015-08-24, version 7.0.4*

What is aggravating is getting well into a game and then being told "No move possible, Press done to continue". When you press 'Done', it says "You must make a move". You try to make a move knowing that the rules don't allow it, and it says "No move poss........... And you loop around never finding a way to advance the game. "No possible move indeed!

### 1/5 — Terrible UI

*2014-10-29, version 7.0.4*

Gameplay is confusing otherwise we just play this game differently where i'm from. Game board designs make the pieces hard to see.

### 2/5 — No longer a great game

*2014-01-06, version 7.0.3*

I've mostly have enjoyed this games however with each update, the game has become less user friendly. Changing the scoring system was bad neigh, but now you can't change the difficulty level of computer opponents. You make the change and it doesn't save and goes back to easy. Please fix.

### 4/5 — Great Game That Takes Up Too Much Space

*2013-10-22, version 7.0*

I love this game. The developer made it with crisp images and great gameplay. However, there's too much provided here that I don't use. All I need is the basic board, not all of the various themes that are included. The space on my iPod is limited and valuable, so to have a board game app that takes up 210 MB is not something that I can afford to do right now. For that reason alone, I sadly deleted it.

### 4/5 — Good adaption of a great game

*2013-10-16*

Growing up, Aggravation was my family's favorite board game, and we spent many, many memorable evenings around the board rolling, racing, and ruminating.

My wish list for features (below) reflects the options I grew up using. Altogether (and with the single die option), they allow for very competitive, interactive, and aggravating games that balance "hunting" tactics with the dominant "racing" strategies.

1. Six-player board

2. Center shortcut

2.1. Allow marbles to enter the center on an exact roll from any of the top corner spots--not just the top corner spot above that marble's Start spot.

2.2. Allow marbles to exit the center to any of the top corner spots--not just the top corner spot before that marble's Home spots.

3. Top corner shortcut

3.1. Marbles moving from one top corner spot to another top corner spot via the top corner shortcut will aggravate other players' marbles in a top corner spot either by occupying or passing through the spot occupied by the other player's marble.

3.2. Allow marbles to exit the top corner shortcut from any of the top corner spots--not just the top corner spot before that marble's Home spots.

3.3. Allow marbles the option of not exiting the top corner shortcut--continuing past the top corner spot before that marble's Home spots, if desired.

Thank you for developing this wonderful app, which continues a proud legacy.

### 4/5 — Great Game!

*2013-09-03, version 3.1*

I love this game - a memory from my childhood A couple requests / suggestions: First - When the fist ball comes out that was always considered home base - meaning it was safe from any opponents. Second - the marbles are very hard to decipher from the board. Love the game and thank you for making it! Any improvements would be greatly appreciated!

### 1/5 — Why?

*2026-02-17*

This game used to be great. This new update is terrible and now makes the game unplayable! Please stop overthinking stuff and go back to original version!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. The bug has been corrected and released. I take your advice seriously to make sure new features don’t impact the original game my grandfather taught me to play.

### 1/5 — Recent update destroyed it

*2026-02-09*

This used to be a great game. There were some occasional glitches, but they didn’t happen often. With a recent update, though, it’s essentially unplayable. I play partners, two mine and two the computer. Nearly every game, at some point a computer player is unable to use a move and 1) the app attributes the unused roll to my player, 2) the app makes that move for my player, 3) the app rolls for my player, 4) the app again moves for my player, and 5) the app then rolls and moves for my player each turn until the computer player is again able to use a roll. When/if this is corrected, I’ll happily update my rating & review — again, it used to be a pretty good game. But as it is, don’t waste your time.

**Developer response:** I’m sorry I missed this bug before releasing my app. Thank you for the detailed report. Version 26.1.7 is now available with a fix.

### 1/5 — Dice rolling is NOT random

*2022-04-27*

So infuriating to not have equal distribution of sixes. Just make it fair.

**Developer response:** The code used to generate the random dice is Int.random(in: 1…6). No cheating is implemented. You can track the number of dice rolled in the statistics tab.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2021-04-25*

Don’t waste your time

### 1/5 — Waste of $2

*2018-01-02*

Piece of crap game. Is not at all like the actual game of aggravation.

**Developer response:** Can you be more specific how the game is not what you were expecting? Based on user feedback I have added many game play options, including one or two dice, clockwise vs counter clockwise, a number of shortcut options, and invented new play modes like high score and gravity. This gives the user over 500 different game play combinations.

### 1/5 — Very poor

*2017-12-31*

Sad slow gameplay that even if it’s the computers turn you have to constantly press next to advance gameplay. Won’t go back to main menu. Die roll is definitely sided to help the computer. Extremely disappointing game and a total waste of money. I want my money back!!!

**Developer response:** Swiping up/down will show/hide the tab bar at the bottom of the screen. From the tab bar you can select 'Game Setup' -> 'Game Play Options' to turn on 'Automatic' mode. This mode will advance to the next player without having to press the done button. If you want even faster play, 'Advance Settings' can changed the computer speed. Finally the code to roll the dice is the same for computers and humans. Try playing yellow marble, it was my grandfathers favorite color and helped him win many games.

### 1/5 — Bad Upgrade

*2017-10-04*

Why addition of icon buttons? Unnecessary and bad visual change that now makes everything else (mainly dice) super small. Provide option to not display icons or go back to previous version!

**Developer response:** With over 500 combinations of options users wanted a quick visual reminder without having to leave game play. Unrelated to icons, I also changed the text displays to dynamic type. This unfortunately affected the dice size. New versions fixed the dice size by removing the link between text and dice.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2017-08-15, version 10.0.0*

First time I have ever purchased an app that crashes when you try to pay to. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still does not work. I want my money back.

### 1/5 — Wish I could give negative stars

*2016-12-04, version 9.4.0*

This game is terrible! It was good before all the updates but now the computer takes my turns often and for no reason my pieces get put back in home. I wish it would have been left alone now it just cheats. It used to be one of my favs but now I'm considering deleting it.

### 1/5 — Game cheater

*2016-11-26, version 9.3.8*

This game totally cheats. The red rolled a 8 and when all the way round to board before it stopped, then when I sent it home, it came out on a non 1 or 6 and went straight to win. Uncool

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice

*2024-11-01*

This is a fun game to play and is worth buying. This developer really cares about making it better. Thanks for the update.

### 5/5 — Suggestions

*2024-07-07*

Aggravate a marble you get to roll again

If you are on the corner you can roll a 1 or a 6 to jump in the middle

You can aggravate a marble in the in the home column but you have to roll the exact amount to get get out. Ex jump in an opponents home with a 3 and aggravate you have to get out of the opponents home with a 3

Only If you roll double 1’s or double 6’s you get to roll again

5 marbles instead of 4

Bigger board where a 1 and a 6 gets you on the corner

We play this at the firehouse, we call it marbles. It would be nice to have these options available to practice on our phones.

**Developer response:** Interesting rule changes. We called it marbles too. The bigger board may be too small for the iPhone screen, but may be possible on iPad. It would be a lot of code changes.

### 5/5 — The ratings don’t match the app

*2023-04-01*

This app is working just fine and is a lot of fun. There must have been updates since when those reviews were made. There is nothing wrong with this app and I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — It’s fine

*2020-10-11*

I think the game is fine. We’ve only played one game, so I may have a different review later. We played on my phone - which was too small. I see today that I can download an older version to my iPad. So we’ll see how that is. One suggestion. Our house rules are - if you don’t get out after 3 rolls you can come out on the 4th roll. -You still roll, in case you get a 1 or 6 to roll again. - My hubs played nearly the whole game and didn’t roll a 1 or 6 until the game was nearly over. Such a bore when you can’t play. Be nice if that was an option. We call it the “pity” rule. 🙄. I bought the game because of your responses back to the previous reviewers. I wanted to bring up the average on your stars.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. I like your “pity” rule. I have the statistics tab just for this reason to show that the dice are fair. I will see if this can be added.

### 5/5 — Love

*2020-04-11*

My whole family, both sides play this game.....we all live in different areas of the country. Please fix the multiplayer button so we can play this game together during this coronavirus quarantine

### 5/5 — Great update

*2016-11-17*

I gave the original update to Swift a pretty bad review. The recent update is back up to, and a big improvement on the older application in (?). My wife and I are back to enjoying our races to 100 wins. This is a daily game for us and it requires just the right amount of strategy and attention. The options are extensive to customize it to your taste.
Well done,John.

### 5/5 — Facebook

*2014-07-15, version 7.0.4*

Need play against friends on Facebook or game enter instead of computer it get boring need add 2 more players

### 5/5 — A fav game

*2014-01-05, version 7.0.3*

I LOVE this game! It's one that I play at least twice a day. However, I can no longer change the skill levels for my opponents. Red can be either 'long' or 'hard' but the others can only be 'hard.' Also, would you be so kind as to include an explanation of the scoring method for the game in the Instructions when you post your next update?

### 5/5 — Great app

*2013-09-28, version 7.0*

Classic game turned into an awesome iPhone app. Works great

### 5/5 — Great job

*2013-06-05, version 3.1*

I play this every night before bed. Great job. Please create an option to be able to enter and exit the center hole from/to all four corners. That's the way we always played--enables you to hunt down opponents who are about to win. Also can you please make it so that the game can be played with my phone turned sideways? Easier to hold that way.
