It just crashes every time I try to open it. It’s not a perfect app and a bit clunky and it’s had glitches along the way, but as a free product, it kind of gives you the basics ### 4/5 — Great once set up *2025-09-13, version 3.0.15* The learning curve is a bit steep for set up. The UI is clunky. I don’t pay per chore but I like to track chores, this doesn’t do it. I have multiple kids and it gave everyone the same starting balance. It wouldn’t let me edit the starting balance even though it stated it would initially. The date entry is clunky and you have to select a date ahead before it’ll allow you to pick today’s date. It’s helpful and motivating for my kids to see how many stars/$ they are earning. I downloaded the app on both my phone and their iPad. That way I could mark their chores complete and they’d be able to see what they earned. Problem is, I am unable to lock them out from making changes on their device, so by the the next morning they’d each marked a month of chores already complete. ### 1/5 — Setup Frustration *2022-10-24, version 3.0.15* I can’t even get this thing through setup. Every time I accidentally hit part of the screen outside of the setup wizard, it erases my progress and I have to start over. It also keeps getting stuck when I try to set up the date for an allowance. It also keeps track of chores and on this front the app is on par with other apps available. The only problem I’ve run into that needs to be fixed is that the Chore reminders do not follow the schedule of the chores. First after I spent all the time creating a profile for each of my kids and setting up their respective chores I wanted to delete a copy profile I had and all 3 profiles got deleted. Now I’m adding everything again and I see the app somehow downloaded twice to my profile so now I have 2 versions of the same app on my phone. I tried contacting the developer but their server is bouncing the emails… ### 1/5 — Developer/Support seem to have fallen off planet *2023-08-27, version 3.0.15* We’ve used this app for several years as a sort of ledger for kids’ birthday money, purchases, etc and some automatic allowance granting. When I recently deleted something I shouldn’t have and attempted to contact support, I came to realize that the developer seems to have vanished. All his apps haven’t been updated in a few years, online documentation/FAQs out of date & inaccurate, support email goes unanswered (except an auto-reply citing COVID delays), etc. Address for the company is a personal residence - and it was sold a few years ago - so doubt there’s anyone else who is taking the reins. Anyway, the app seems functional, but support has vanished, so beware. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work properly *2023-08-09, version 3.0.15* The app doesn’t work properly. When we enter the stars or money the totals are never the same in the bank, in the main page or in the reward section. I tried contacting the developer and the automatic response says : « Due to the issues surrounding COVID-19, my ability to respond will be limited. I will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience ». Come on Covid is not a reason anymore. I am not happy with my purchase ☹️ ### 1/5 — Makes incorrect automatic allowance payments *2023-07-03, version 3.0.15* I was relatively happy with the. One issue is that all family users use the same account. You can’t have different users with different functionality. But the biggest issue is that the automatic allowance payments often makes 2 or even 3 duplicate payments. Now I have to go back and correct the entries. And I can’t erase the entries easily. I have to edit the entry as a 1 cent deposit because I can’t erase and can’t leave the entry with a zero value. ### 1/5 — Does Not WORK!! *2023-02-06, version 3.0.15* I have iPhone 11 and my iPad 11 pro. It does not work it locks up and freezes. I can’t even add a child and I can’t add any chores to it or anything does must be very old and needs to be taken off Apple. HA!! Super excited abt the next update; hoping to see parents get a notification when the child checks something and says the chore’s been done...that way he won’t have to bug US to keep checking the Piggy so we can update and confirm the chores are done. We tried a few different methods and nothing ever stuck. I found this app recommended on a page on Pinterest and thought I’d give it a try. My only hang up is that it takes a while to set up and figure out how and what your families reward system looks like (not really an issue with the app at all). When I did have a question, I emailed the developer Jim and he solved my problem super quick! Overall, this app is a great motivator for kids and helpful for parents to track behavior, chores and of course the money!
