### 3/5 — No audio ?

*2023-02-15*

After yrs of use, the audio has been disabled. How come ?

### 2/5 — Great audio analysis tool

*2022-10-26*

To the developer, since the subscription, There is this strange notch filtering that won’t go away. The app is great when it’s working but this notch filtering renders it useless.

### 3/5 — Cannot rename a saved file

*2020-01-12*

The app is good in its graphic display but lacks an important feature - the ability to rename files. Which are automatically named by the app as you save. The names assigned are just numbers representing the date.

### 1/5 — iPhone xs

*2018-12-02*

The screen fades over
Request modification

### 1/5 — iphone X

*2018-07-18*

I phone Notch design “Not Display”!!!

### 3/5 — Cannot download wav file

*2012-10-08*

In windows iexplore. Impossible to access http://.... Let me know how to acquire sound data

### 1/5 — This is was great, but…

*2012-04-22*

Now it doesn't seem to work on iPhone4s and that's no good, I retract my previous 5 stars and will not give them back until this is fixed

### 3/5 — Needs calibration!

*2012-01-21*

There is about 50 db of noise in a dead silent room. Should be a way to fix this. A paid app should be accurate. Current scaling is way off.

### 4/5 — I need wav file send to my pc

*2011-03-03*

I am a muffler sound enginer. So, very nice tool to me but I need to send to my pc. I can send wav file?

### 4/5 — Very practical and elegant graphics

*2010-12-06*

Very practical app and elegant graphics. I would like to see the dB vertical scale as we can see the horizontal Hz scale.
I hope it will also work with the USB line/mic in and more important, be able to insert recorded wav files so that one can check
his recordings. Without those possibilities, it is too expensive for what it does right now. Please update !

### 4/5 — Simple, fast, and aesthetic

*2010-11-21*

This is an all-around good app. It works exactly as described, launches quickly, and works perfectly. As an [undocumented] bonus feature, it even supports video out.

There are a few tweaks that would make this app even better:

* Support for landscape orientation.
* The ability to choose which panels are visible.
* Analysis of audio data that wasn't recorded from within the application (e.g., integration with your media library, uploading files to the application).
* Manual scaling of either axis.

One glaring problem with this app is the price: it's far too expensive for its feature set. Though it executes these features well, it doesn't really do enough to justify its price tag.

Price aside, this is a great little app that does exactly the job it advertises.

### 1/5 — Not what I was looking for

*2010-11-18*

How do I get a refund.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Abzocke

*2024-11-26*

Ich schließe mich den anderen Rezensionen an. Auch ich habe nicht mehr den Umfang, den ich in der Pro Version gekauft habe

### 1/5 — Not working

*2024-04-03, version 5.5*

Doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Abo!

*2024-02-18*

### 1/5 — Disappointing deception

*2024-01-27*

After having paid for the app with full features in the pre “pro version” past I have lost features due to an “update” download.
I'm presently being extorted to pay for features I had paid for and have been deceived into losing.
Other than that…

### 1/5 — Unfaire Preispolitik

*2023-10-12*

### 1/5 — False advertising, and downgrade

*2022-08-21, version 5.5*

I use a number of audio analysis apps on iPhone, and use other far more serious/expensive audio analysis equipment. The various iPhone apps do an incredible job, particularly when used with a mic made for measuring, but even when used with the built-in mic and specific phone calibration data within an app.

This app is one I keep, but use only occasionally, as there are only a few very rare situations where this app is my first choice, for measuring things apps like this are rarely used for. The app author states this app has ‘become the industry standard’. I’d really like to know by what facts, credentials/certification or stretch of the imagination that claim comes from, as it is extremely far from any audio analysis industry standard (in my opinion). There are definitely some other competing iPhone apps that might be that, but they don’t even make that claim (that I’ve seen). The other apps are far superior to this app in pretty much every way, though each has its strengths and best types of uses, and of course simple personal preferences, not to mention quite different measurement accuracies among apps (that might surprise or shock you).

I also question when an app such as this paid version (not the lite version, which is a great way to evaluate an app and decide if you wish to purchase the full app) comes out with an automatic update that strips features and abilities that we already paid for, and based our decision to buy on the app having and retaining those features and abilities. For existing app owners, we’ve lost what we already had, only to now be presented with multiple rapid updates to a horribly buggy and poorly done upgrade interface that offers us to now pay (again) and in an ongoing subscription way for what we already had. We can’t even access app settings anymore (among other things) without subscribing.

The many rapid updates attempting to fix an obviously non functional apparently untested upgrade subscription screen show the really poor software quality and complete lack of testing. As for the the other practices of the author/developer, you can decide for yourself if this is an app you wish to support and come to rely upon.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2020-03-29*

The free version works. The full version does not work at all. The tech support seems to lead me to a wrong site.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Like the app....but why is the "pro" so much expensive

*2015-08-23, version 3.1*

I would love to be able to zoom in....and the different playback speeds would be nice....but I think the "pro" is way over priced....come on guys, be reasonable!

### 5/5 — 素晴らしい

*2015-02-28*

RTAは沢山あれど、表示としてはこのアプリがベストと思います。無料版もありますが、応援してやりたくなります。

### 5/5 — IAnalyzer

*2012-05-10*

IAnalyzer is an outstanding audio spectrum analyzer app with several unique features.

IAnalyzer not only shows the spectrum of a sound, with the frequency and dB indicated, but it also identifies what musical note the loudest peaks are close to, and how many cents sharp or flat these peaks are. This is extremely useful for tuning / manufacturing complex musical instruments where the harmonics of the note need to be tuned along with the fundamental.

IAnalyzer is also unique in its ability to record a sound and freeze the action during playback so that the details of the sound spectrum and it's harmonics can be examined. You drag the recorded sound track forward and backward on the bottom of the screen with your finger while examining the detailed audio spectrum of the sound on the top half of the screen. This feature is extremely helpful when trying to examine very transient sounds like the sound of a Mallet hitting a marimba key, or "tap tuning" a marimba resonator. It allows you to examine the attack and decay of the sound as a whole, as well as the behavior of the individual harmonics.

Most music instrument apps fail to lock in on very brief percussion sounds, and I have not found another audio spectrum app that combines the ability to freeze the action of percussion sounds while also identifying the musical notes for the peaks that appearing the sound spectrum,

I have many different musical instrument tuner apps, but iAnalyzer has become my "go to " app for tuning mallet instruments and their resonators.

### 5/5 — True Power And Accuracy!

*2012-04-29, version 1.65*

This is a very powerful real time audio signal analyzer that is incredibly comprehensive in its capabilities. It offers very accurate 2D and 3D frequency representations which can be viewed in real time or recorded for detailed analysis.

The file manager is very useful for deleting recorded files when you have studied them, but you can also export these files to other programs. This really is a high performance instrument that is incredibly useful for getting the best sound in a room for recording and mixing, or even just for pure enjoyment of high quality sound.

There is also an incredibly accurate pitch detection option that really helps for transcribing music. It works best when you record the music and move across the wave for a fine tuned analysis. You can also do it in real time, which is also a highly accurate method for tuning any instrument. This is very high quality indeed.

### 5/5 — Very high quality spectrum analyzer

*2010-10-02*

Exceptionally well-done implementation of FFT. The audio recording and IP connection is a cool feature. A few suggestions: on my iPad, but not on my iPhone, I get a strong spike at 8597 Hz -- not sure of the source. When displaying multiple peak boxes, I'd prefer if the boxes did not "bounce," and possibly move the boxes up a bit (on the iPad), just under the freq. axis. Linear/log axes choice would be nice. The dB values seem unusually large. Freq. spacing seems tighter than Fs/N would predict -- wonder how you are doing that (it's nice, though). In some cases even a longer time frame might be nice. Can't delete a lone file in edit mode -- I have to create a new one first. An idea for a feature: a moving average of the spectrum over time. It would cause strong components to be reinforced and noise would diminish. In the text file, perhaps you could include frequency in addition to harmonic number.

Great job -- beautiful display. High quality implementation. I tried the free version and was impressed. But the extra features of the "pay" version are worth the $19.99, for me.

### 5/5 — + +1

*2010-09-21*

Few purchased iPhone apps exceed my expectations for value, this one ranks at the very top

### 5/5 — Hands down best analyzer

*2010-07-31*

Flawless on the iPad and the iPhone 4. I use this twice a day. Worth every penny!

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2010-01-05*

Downloaded the free version, and went for the full version. Works perfectly, looks really slick, has a bunch of nice features. Good job.

### 4/5 — improvement

*2012-08-28*

Data file stored in order to enable your improvement.
figures in Excel file read to analyze sound and
asks quick action

### 4/5 — Landscape

*2011-07-06, version 1.65*

Good app, but is that might be update with the iPad 2 and operate in landscape???
