This app is all sneakers except for “riding boots” I don’t really know a tradesman wearing riding boots to work Kinda upset I spent money on this ### 1/5 — Disappointed! *2020-03-08* Website is way better. No step-by-step directions on how to tie each different lacing style. I guess I probably owe Ian $2 for my use of his website. Was hoping the app would be a good experience. Unless I’m missing something, stick to his website—it is a better teacher and far more user friendly. Was surprised to find this app and payed the $1.99 to down load it. I’m writing this review as speculation about the Mueller investigation runs rampant (fall of 2018). This app is a nice diversion. Entertaining and informative [if you’re into tying shoes ;)] ### 5/5 — Excellent lace and knot app! *2017-02-17* Lovingly compiled by a true shoelace expert, this collection of lacings and knots is full of "must try" ideas. The "how to" parts are perfectly clear like the best knot apps, and the "create-a-lace" is the fastest way to try out your ideas. ### 3/5 — Latest update is a step back *2016-05-16* I like this app. It does a good job of showing you how to lace with clear directions. I downgraded my rating because the latest update shows a summary of all laces on real shoes. Previously they were drawings of the laces. This change seems like a good idea but makes it very difficult to compare different lacing styles when deciding which one to use. Also, the lacing instructions are in a much smaller popup window instead of taking up the full screen. If you're looking for a lacing app though, this is a great one. ### 5/5 — Amazing and fun! *2015-05-12* Lacing just got serious! Don’t expect anyone to take you seriously unless your shoes are laced with a dash of creativity! This has everything, from the sublime to the simple when it comes to lacing. Super easy to use app with hundreds of lacing options, and the diagram to lace is so easy to use. Essential for anyone who owns Converse as well. ### 5/5 — My boots will never be the same! *2014-03-08* This is a well designed and thought-out app that has loads of different lacing and tying methods. I use a combination of the 'twistie lacing', 'lock lacing' and 'Ian's secure shoelace knot' to keep my work-boots snug and secure. The descriptions are nice and the ability to switch between a picture and an illustration is really useful. Also, I really like that there is an email link in the app: I emailed the dev and he emailed back the same day! 5/5! ### 4/5 — Awesome app. *2014-01-08* This app is great it gives me different ways to tie my laces so I can be different in my group of friends. Animated steps for the knots are helpful also. Frankly the create-a-lace feature is a joke and the app would be better without it as it is now.
