Why do you need this app? If you are like me, you need this app because your shoe laces don't stay tied. This app shows you how lace your shoes so they are more comfortable and tie your shoes so they stay tied. You should buy this app if you really love to be creative and love shoes. This app is all sneakers except for “riding boots” I don’t really know a tradesman wearing riding boots to work Kinda upset I spent money on this ### 1/5 — Disappointed! *2020-03-08* Website is way better. No step-by-step directions on how to tie each different lacing style. I guess I probably owe Ian $2 for my use of his website. Was hoping the app would be a good experience. Unless I’m missing something, stick to his website—it is a better teacher and far more user friendly. Lost my money. ### 3/5 — Latest update is a step back *2016-05-16* I like this app. It does a good job of showing you how to lace with clear directions. I downgraded my rating because the latest update shows a summary of all laces on real shoes. Previously they were drawings of the laces. This change seems like a good idea but makes it very difficult to compare different lacing styles when deciding which one to use. Also, the lacing instructions are in a much smaller popup window instead of taking up the full screen. They should also put a search where you can search the laces. It also gives you the added benefit of being able to teach children to tie their shoelaces quick and easy. Animated steps for the knots are helpful also. Frankly the create-a-lace feature is a joke and the app would be better without it as it is now. I use a combination of the 'twistie lacing', 'lock lacing' and 'Ian's secure shoelace knot' to keep my work-boots snug and secure. The descriptions are nice and the ability to switch between a picture and an illustration is really useful.
