## What is iApp?

iApp is a third-party App Charts Store browser for developers, PMs, and app fans. No sign-in or Apple ID switching—browse 170+ storefront charts, search details, and track version, availability, and price drops. Data from Apple’s public iTunes APIs. Not affiliated with Apple Inc.

WHY CHOOSE iAPP

1. Cross-region without switching accounts
Browse 170+ markets. Keyword region search. Customizable Quick Region chips (shared or separate, unlimited). Switch region on the detail header; All Regions stays available. System region helper reads the storefront and lets you confirm or copy the official jump link.

2. Rich charts, flexible persistent filters
12 live charts: Free, Paid, Grossing, and New for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. 26 categories plus 18 game subgenres. Filters save and scroll to top. Mac/iPad Paid & Grossing use progressive web charts; platform badges. Optional rank history & presets with interactive charts and silent foreground refresh. Share long ranking snapshots.

3. Search & detail in one place
Keyword search with region and iPhone/iPad/Mac filters; paste App Store links or App IDs. Search history; dismiss search while keeping results (iOS 15+). Catalog-first screenshots and App Preview video (HLS, copy/save). Reviews with sort, star filter, expand text, load more, developer replies; fallback APIs. Same-developer preview; full developer list with sorts, by-rank, text/CSV/image export. All Regions: availability, price, version, by-rank, content compare. Favorite, share QR cards, or subscribe to version / new listing / delisting / price drop.

4. Subscription monitoring
Auto-poll with global/per-item intervals (h/m/s, min 10s). Keyword/platform search for version/delisting; App ID or link for new listings. Track updates, new listings, delistings, and price drops; pause/resume. Optional per-item Live Activity (Lock Screen / Dynamic Island). Optional Preferences iCloud. Subscription Tab can hide.

5. Favorites that stick
Star or swipe to favorite by region. Optional Favorites Tab; shortcuts & Deep Links. Pin, groups, notes; multi-select; filter by group, region, category, or ranking. 9 sorts; export text, CSV, or long images. Developer Favorites (optional Tab + independent iCloud). Browse history up to 100 apps.

6. Home & Lock Screen widgets
iOS 17+: Ranking widgets (type, category, region, game subgenre) Small–Extra Large + Lock Screen; Favorites sync pin-first. Deep Links; theme-following backgrounds; 18 UI languages. iOS 16.2+: Live Activities for Top 6 rankings and subscription monitors (separate LA toggle).

7. Lists & browsing extras
List/grid on rankings (iPhone 2–4 cols, iPad 3–6); Search & Favorites layouts separate. Multi-field rows: summary, rating, size, min OS, dates, version, content rating, languages. Long-press: All Regions, Store page, same developer, homepage, subscribe, favorite developer.

APPEARANCE & SETTINGS
System / Light / Dark; 18 languages; 9 alternate icons. App Settings: cellular alerts; Subscription / Favorites / Developer Favorites tabs. Preferences iCloud for subscriptions, filter presets, search & quick regions. Up to 4 shortcuts from 15 destinations; Siri & App Intents.

HIGHLIGHTS
Native SwiftUI; public APIs only; optional iCloud; widgets (iOS 17+); shortcuts & Siri; 12 charts, 18 game subgenres, 170+ regions, reviews with developer replies, Live Activity, multi-field lists, version history, same-developer preview.

IMPORTANT
Third-party tool—not the official App Store. Data depends on Apple public APIs. Subscription monitoring works in the foreground—not system push. Widgets need iOS 17+; main app needs iOS 15+. Shortcuts: system max 4 among 15 destinations. Live Activity needs iOS 16.2+; no refresh when fully quit. Prefer Wi-Fi for heavy All Regions queries; saving video needs Photos permission.

*2026-08-01*

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.10.0 — 2026-08-26

iApp v2.10.0 Major Update

1. Subscription page redesigned: filter by All, Active, or History at the top. Active and History are shown in separate sections. New completions appear as a banner and badge, with one tap to jump to the latest result. Clear history from the toolbar menu.

2. More reliable subscription storage: monitoring data now lives in the recommended app storage location with automatic backup and migration from the old cache folder, helping protect your records from accidental loss.

3. Smarter rank history: when rankings stay the same, only the timestamp is refreshed. New data points are added only when positions change. While the app is in the foreground, charts refresh silently every 30 minutes, and opening rank history or tracking pages refreshes the current filter when needed.

4. Tip the developer: an optional tip option in Settings About. Secure StoreKit payment. Core features remain free. Your support helps us keep improving iApp.

5. Alternate icons updated: new Gray Frame style added. Retired legacy mono icons are migrated automatically so your home screen stays consistent. 12 alternate icons are now available.

6. Subscription polish: copy the App Store web link for active monitors from the context menu. Clearing history shows a confirmation toast for clearer feedback.

Recent updates in v2.9.0

7. Single-app rank matrix: view free, paid, grossing, and category chart positions for the current region from app details or list context menu. Export and share supported.

8. Ranking tables upgraded: Favorites, developer apps, and store availability by ranking now share fixed first-column scrolling, optional grossing columns, and multi-level sorting for smoother browsing.

9. Home Screen shortcuts reordering: mix static shortcuts and developer ranking shortcuts in any order with drag and drop.

10. Richer list display options: keep 9 quick toggles in the menu, open More Options to show developer, platform, App ID, Bundle ID, and reset to defaults anytime.

11. Help center refresh: new Home Screen Shortcuts and Siri guide, expanded Usage Guide, Rank Tracking guide, and Widget guide with more FAQs.

12. Subscription unread alerts: get badge and banner alerts when monitoring completes in the background. Filter by All, Active, or History, and clear finished items from the toolbar.

### 2.9.0 — 2026-08-21

iApp v2.9.0 Major Update

This release makes ranking research feel complete, and it also refines the lists, subscriptions, and guides you already rely on.

1. Rank one app across the charts. Open any app to see its positions on the overall, category, and Top Grossing charts in the current region. Preview on the detail page, then open the full matrix. Switch regions, export as text or image, or jump in from the long-press menu on charts, search, and favorites.
2. Ranking tables built for comparison. In Favorites, apps by the same developer, and All Regions, the ranking view now keeps the first column fixed while you scroll the rest. Turn on Top Grossing columns when you need them, and stack multiple sort rules by name, date, rating, price, and rank.
3. Subscriptions with a New Results section. The list is now New Results, Monitoring, and Completed. Updates that finish while you are away stay in New Results until you leave the page. Clear completed items in one tap.
4. Richer list display options. Besides summary, rating, and size, you can show developer, platforms, App ID, and Bundle ID. Use More Options to fine-tune, or restore the default view. Rankings, search, and favorites all follow your choice.
5. A Home Screen that feels like yours. There are now 12 alternate icons, including three new monochrome designs. Drag to reorder Home Screen quick actions, and mix page shortcuts with developer ranking items. The system shows up to 4.
6. Clearer in-app help. A new Home Screen quick actions and Siri guide covers setup and example phrases. The user guide, widget guide, and rank tracking guide are expanded, with jump-to sections, walkthroughs for watching competitors or your own apps, and more common questions.
7. Feedback that still works without Mail. If no mail account is set up, you can copy the support email and device info, or try opening another mail app, so your message does not get stuck.
8. Small polish, smoother everyday use. Share images label the App Store region more clearly, and translations are more consistent.

We welcome your feedback. If iApp helps you, please consider leaving a rating. It really helps us keep improving.

### 2.8.0 — 2026-07-27

iApp v2.8.0 Major Update

This release takes everyday chart browsing, app search, and ranking tracking further, with clearer details and smoother controls.

1. Customize what each list shows: Across rankings, search, favorites, and developer apps, pick the fields you care about, including summary, ratings, size, OS requirement, release and update dates, version, age rating, and languages. Your preference can sync with iCloud.
2. Paste App Store links to search: Paste App Store, iTunes, or apple.co links to find an app instantly. The same works when adding new-release subscription monitoring, so you no longer need to copy App IDs by hand.
3. Smarter ranking history: When you return to the app, tracked data refreshes quietly in the background. Stable ranks keep being recorded, so trends stay complete and drop-offs are easier to spot.
4. Clearer subscription Live Activities: Icons and names refresh during checks, so Lock Screen and Dynamic Island stay timely and accurate.
5. Home Screen shortcuts for developer rankings: Pin favorite developers to Home Screen Quick Actions and open their ranking views in one long-press, making competitor and portfolio tracking faster.
6. Apple sites follow your language: Official support, developer, and platform links open in pages that match your in-app language.
7. Polished search and gestures: Smoother search, safer swipe to remove favorites, and quicker favorite actions from the long-press menu.

Thank you for being with us. If you enjoy this update, a rating on the App Store means a lot. Feedback is always welcome, and we will keep making iApp better for you.
