### 3/5 — Good but some issues

*2026-07-18, version 2.8.1*

I like the app and monitor overall, but we’ve had multiple instances where the sound cuts off. I always double check that I have the sound on before going to bed, but there have been times where I wake up and realize my baby is awake and crying, but I never heard anything because the sound stopped working!

### 2/5 — Works but drains battery

*2025-04-16, version 2.8.1*

App drains battery even when not using it. Have to kill it after using everytime to prevent it from draining battery

### 3/5 — Overall it’s Great… But…

*2025-03-02, version 2.8.1*

It’s great and works, but there’s an issue where it runs in the background 100% with no way to stop it and it drains battery. I thought there was something wrong with my phone, I started deleting apps, then I deleted this one, my battery is better. So for real my friends, I delete this app when I don’t need to monitor and re install when I need it. Battery issues need to be solved.

### 2/5 — Works but has big issues

*2024-09-29, version 2.8.0*

If you don’t force close the app, it very aggressively drains the battery until you force close it.

### 2/5 — Monitor good app horrible

*2024-08-28, version 2.8.0*

It is so unbelievably frustrating to me that I love this monitor, I use it for all three of my kids, but the app has progressively gotten worse and worse. I have contacted iBaby about this several times and have gotten very little help on their end saying that my phone was the issue. I have been using iBaby for 3 years and honestly the first year was great, no problems. Which is why I bought the second monitor for my next baby. We began to run into issues with the sound function turning off in the middle of the night but ended up finding a work around by leaving the app open on our phones. By this point we find out we are having another baby and don’t want to have to buy an entirely new set of monitors and my MIL buys a third monitor for us to use. Now my app crashes within a minute of being open. I can’t use it except for white noise on and off and to check on the baby. My phone is up to date on its IOS and I always do my app updates but this issue will not cease. It makes the monitor almost completely useless. In my opinion buy a different monitor or get a Wyze camera and buy a sound machine. It’ll save you so much headache.

### 2/5 — Time stamp has been removed

*2024-07-05, version 2.8.0*

The time stamp has been removed when viewing alert captures. The date is available but no time from videos taken throughout the night

### 1/5 — Constant failure to connect

*2024-04-16, version 2.8.0*

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the hardware itself but the app connection is terrible. We also have a security camera elsewhere in the house and a ring doorbell that run off the same WiFi so it’s not that. It will be working one minute and when I switch to another app and back to this app BAM it’s gone and can’t get back connected. Occasionally I’m able to reconnect it with a hard restart of the equipment but again that’s not consistent fix and that shouldn’t be a solution when the point of a baby camera is to not have to be in the same room. Oh and the breathing monitor is a joke. I pointed it at the baby and then at an empty spot in the room and got the same breathing curve. How messed up is that!?Please don’t waste your money on this!

### 1/5 — Good app, drains battery

*2024-04-04, version 2.8.0*

This app is really useful and I would rate it 5 stars except for the fact that if you don’t force close the app when you’re done, it drains your battery in the background. This has been an issue for years through multiple app versions and on multiple devices. I can understand if you leave the audio on in the background, but even when you don’t, and you just check a camera and then navigate to another app it runs in the background and kills the battery. It’s really a major issue because by the end of the day I’m almost at 0% and I barely even used my phone during the day. It’s consistently at the top of my list of apps under battery and always more than 50% of usage in the last 24 hours. Please release an update that stops this behavior and I will amend this review to 5 stars

### 1/5 — Latest App Update Broke Voice

*2024-02-12, version 2.7.9*

The latest update broke the microphone sound. I have two of these cameras and the latest update completely destroyed the quality of sound when we talk through the mic. The sound output is robotic and barely transmits. It’s not the cameras or networks. Very upset about this as I’m marking it at at a 1-star until this is corrected.

### 1/5 — Prepare to have a brick in a few short years.

*2024-01-27, version 2.7.9*

They just ended support for products they were still selling in 2020. DO NOT BUY ANY IBABY PRODUCT! I can’t access either of my cameras starting February 1, 2024.

### 1/5 — Discontinues hardware with little notice

*2024-01-27, version 2.7.9*

Earlier this week I received an email that my two iBaby monitors are too old and will no longer be supported. Now they’re for the bin without software to view them on. Do not buy iBaby, you’ll regret it.
Apart from that I’ve loved these and I’m just a jaded lover of the brand. Though my kids are older, I still used my monitors as security devices to check in on the house and temperature when not at home. Well, I can’t now, but I did.

### 1/5 — Suddenly an expensive paperweight!

*2024-01-27, version 2.7.9*

Giving your customers a 5 DAY NOTICE that their WORKING $100+ baby monitor is no longer going to work because the company is going to just stop allowing it to run on their app AND there is no independent hand held monitor for you to use so your $100+ baby monitor that works just fine is now an expensive paperweight… NOT GREAT BUSINESS PRACTICES.

### 3/5 — I need advice since the devs don’t reply

*2024-01-26, version 2.7.9*

I have an M2 monitor and it uses the ancient (ibaby view) app which hasn’t been updated in about 8 yrs…. My question is will this app work on the M2 model please let me know anyone I’m going crazy with this

### 2/5 — The app is not well supported.

*2023-11-28, version 2.7.8*

The latest version of the app doesn’t work on my iPad. It has been a couple weeks now, but there’s no solution. The tech support was responsive for a few days and has been silent for weeks now. As an IT consultant, I’ve given them lots of leeway. It looks like the company is seriously behind with bug fixing. It’s time to move on to a different brand.

### 1/5 — Crashes before opening

*2023-11-07, version 2.7.7*

Latest update won’t allow me to even open the app. Who’s testing these updates?!? You bug fix by adding more bugs.

### 1/5 — Nearly every release breaks an older iOS version

*2023-11-06, version 2.7.7*

Always dread the app updates lately as they either barely work or they fail continuously on our older iPhone 5.

It's one thing if you completely aged the device and iOS version out, we'd be happy using the older version of the app for the time being as it worked great.

Instead you claim the current version supports iOS 10.x and it just doesn't.

Contacting your support is the moral equivalent of dealing with a phone tree as they won't talk to me unless I provide them the info in triplicate or they just ignore you and you never hear from them again. Meanwhile their forum and other sites have all mentioned these same issues, without any reply from the developer about the ongoing issues.

Just split the development and put the older version up for older iOS users to use and continue to develop the newer apps for the newer iOS versions. It's a simple switch to do and you've done it before.

### 1/5 — Steal data

*2023-11-06, version 2.7.7*

Remember to disable this app from cellular data unless you are on unlimited plan, otherwise this app will silently steal your data even though you never open it.

### 1/5 — It’s gone down hill

*2023-11-02, version 2.7.7*

The app never lets me accept my media gallery. It times out every time I try. Which makes the cameras useless id love a refund on my cameras at this point because the app makes it so I can’t even do what I bought them for. They worked with the app for years and now the app constantly times out. I’ve tried for the past hour to access the gallery with no luck. Don’t recommend their cameras or apps.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t login

*2025-08-28, version 2.8.1*

It won’t let me make a account to even use it this is just a terrible app my wife has it on her phone but it won’t let me do it on my phone which is stupid y’all really need to fix this

### 1/5 — Poorly designed software

*2025-06-22, version 2.8.1*

Although the camera seems good and has some useful features the software /app is terrible.
When open it drains your device battery very fast.
There is no sound alert when there is a noise from the babies room. Instead you get a pop up on the device which is of no help at night if you are to sleeping.
Also there is no customer support. Calls to the support help line go to voicemail which then says the mail box is full. Emails to customer support go unanswered despite reaching out several times.
I would avoid the product.

### 1/5 — App no longer works, just crashes

*2025-05-06, version 2.8.1*

App no longer works, despite deleting and reinstalling. Freezes, then crashes. Every single time. Has become worthless.

### 1/5 — App keeps crashing

*2025-01-23, version 2.8.1*

I have to delete the app and reinstall all. The. Time. So annoying. I got this for when my grandkids come visit. It worked ok for less than a year but now I can’t get it to connect. Same room. Same distance to router. Lousy app.

### 1/5 — Drains battery in background

*2025-01-23, version 2.8.1*

I’ve unfortunately been years using this app, and it is the worst. Drains iPhone battery while running in the background like nothing else.
So frustrating when I forget to force close the app and my phone doesn’t last the day
Seems that iBaby is either incapable of fixing it, or doesn’t care. Terrible app.

### 1/5 — Hacked

*2025-01-05, version 2.8.1*

Someone hacked into my camera and started controlling it. DO NOT BUY THIS

### 1/5 — BEWARE! Great app until a few months ago

*2024-11-23, version 2.8.0*

This app has served me well for years up until a month or so ago. I don’t know if it’s because a new iOS update or what but now the ibaby app crashes in as little as 20 seconds. No explanation for it. The ibaby care company has not given an app update in some time. BEWARE this app and company might be dead.

### 1/5 — App constantly crashes

*2024-07-19, version 2.8.0*

For the last few months I have not been able to rely on this app. It crashes constantly, often as soon as twenty seconds after you open it. It has not lasted through the night in months. This is across multiple camera and multiple phones, that all used to work great until recently. Terrible.

### 1/5 — An absolute battery killer

*2024-06-15, version 2.8.0*

It always has been a battery killer. Since the first time I installed this app when my son was born. He is 5 now and a lot has changed since then but the one thing that never fails is you forget to kill the app and it races to drain your battery.

### 1/5 — Lights in app now unusable

*2024-04-29, version 2.8.0*

No longer works. App crashes in “lights” in settings tab. Unable to do anything with the light on the monitor anymore. App has become unusable.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

When my son was a little baby I used to use it and it has
Great picture quality!!!:) and I love the video recording it is like a security camera:)

### 5/5 — Still works!

*2024-06-24, version 2.8.0*

I bought their M6T about 8 years ago. Both the camera and the app still work today. I’m impressed.

### 5/5 — A MUST BUY

*2022-05-14, version 2.6.5*

I love this so much. 100/100 would recommend!

### 5/5 — Great Device/App

*2020-09-29, version 2.4.9*

Works great! Easy set up and app works a treat.

### 5/5 — Update

*2020-09-19, version 2.4.7*

Love the iBaby monitor and app!!

### 5/5 — Really like the app and device but some suggestions

*2020-07-04, version 2.4.5*

Can’t see anywhere to leave feature requests but after a couple of days using our M7 here are some things that would make it even better:

* scalable/dynamic y axis on temperature, CO2, humidity graphs: recorded data is fantastic but hard to read for those working in °C. Would be good to have a way to zoom in on a narrower temp range (ie most houses will probably be between 12-30°c inside...so you only display temps outside that if they’re actually recorded). Likewise, CO2 is unlikely to fall below 300-400. Alternatively have the y axis scale over time as outliers are collected.

* Limit alerts. Alters for parents seem good but do grandparents and others need to always have alerts go through to them? Seems like an all or nothing situation. Some more granular controls would be great.

* Timers/do not disturb routines. Would be great to have a way to schedule access to feed for grandparents etc... rather than making it all or nothing.

Again, app is much better then I expected. These are just some things that would make it awesome.

### 5/5 — Perfect monitor for us!

*2019-03-27, version 2.3.6*

We absolutely love our baby monitors! We purchased our first in 2017 for our first child. It has always worked perfectly and the app is so convenient! I love that we can check in on our child, no matter where we are. There’s no extra monitor to drag around and it alerts you if there is a sound or motion that you might need to check in on. We purchased another M6S monitor for our second in 2018 and can easily toggle between the two. At night, we put each monitor up on each nightstand and can easily check in. As long as you have a great and speedy WiFi connection, these will be perfect for you!

### 5/5 — Works great

*2019-01-25, version 2.3.5*

The ibaby monitor has been working well for us! We haven't had any issues. One thing that would make it easier is if the camera was easier to move around. Sometimes you just need it to move the slightest bit. If there was a trackpad with arrows or something where you could tap to make the small adjustments it would be better. Otherwise we do like it and haven't had issues with it! Highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — Hiccups but worth it

*2018-09-18*

I had some hiccups originally with setting the system up, and it not being exactly as advertised. A little bummed out that customer support never got back to me, but I have still been using my system for 6 months and love it. A few things I wish I knew-

You can’t have more than two users really, and not more than one owner. This limits it’s advertised functionality of having more users, but hey, whatever I guess.

The biggest downside is that there is a light on the back of the system that goes off when the wifi is off, or for random reasons. This lights up a dark room and kinda wakes my baby up, even though it is a small light.

Still well worth the cost and all, I do love this app now.

Volume control could use improvement, and the image capture and image in general is funny in that it zooms the entire UI and not just the image, so everything gets grainy.

After a difficulter-than-needed learning curve with two very technologically adept parents, we now love it! Good for this price point and I would recommend.

### 5/5 — Best Baby Monitor

*2018-08-15, version 2.3.1*

This monitor is amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a better product. The image quality is really good and I love that I can see my son with the night vision as well. It plays music for him while he sleeps and I can listen, speak or record. Which is a huge help with a toddler as he likes to climb off his bed when we “aren’t looking” and get into things he’s not supposed to. Or he will stay up and play with his toys instead of go to bed.
I enjoy it very much and would highly recommend it!
