It is quick, easy, accurate and extremely convenient! Best app I've used for weight and balance - especially on the go. Mike is also spot on and quick to respond with any questions. This is a must have app for helicopter flight operations! ### 5/5 — Must have for career pilots *2023-08-17* This app is amazing as a tour pilot. It’s great to be able to do quick calculations at the aircraft when someone insists on sitting in a certain seat. I can run it right there to make sure helicopter is still within limits. ### 5/5 — Make your life easier and buy this app. *2023-07-28* I started using this app when flying singles and have continued to use it flying multis. The features and ease of use of the app makes computation fast and easy. I love the “identical pax” option to quickly input pax weights and the custom loads make my weight and balance probably more accurate than the aircraft FMS. The devs for iBal are great and responsive, constantly looking to make the app better and even adding support for aircraft that I had requested. Thanks ### 5/5 — Fantastic App *2021-09-17* I’ve been using this app for 11+ years and it’s fantastic! I love that it’s on an iPhone , not just iPad based. Always at my fingertips and all the aircraft I fly. If I need another aircraft customer support is always very responsive and fantastic at getting different aircraft or configurations when I supply the documentation/data. We’ll worth the $20 and time to learn to use the app! ### 5/5 — Sounds can be disabled in settings *2021-07-31* Great app for quick weight & balance checks for pre-flight and training use. Good customer service; requested an aftermarket R44 pod via email and the developers added it for us in the next update. The sounds are annoying, but can be disabled by going to the iPhone’s “Settings” app and searching for “iBal”. ### 4/5 — Fuel burn and flight duration *2021-07-11* The app is good for W&B but it would be great if we could input the Fuel Burn and it would calculate the flight duration estimate, including the variable of the fuel reserve of 20min, or set by the pilot’s personal minimums. The software staff is incredibly responsive to adjusting app inputs to address all our needs. One e-mail to the developer was all that was needed to have our configuration data added to the App on the following revision. No fuzz efficiency, just the way we like it. Highly recommended! ### 5/5 — iBal rotary *2019-06-06* I have been using iBal rotary for several years now and have found it to be the most useful weight and balance app for helicopters available. I use it for 6 different Bell 206s and 206Ls of varied years and configurations. I have also found that if you need a helicopter that is configured different than any they have listed you can send AirSpayce the configuration with flight manual information and they will add it to their offerings. I know 5 pilots in our company that use the app exclusively. ### 5/5 — Excellent product and great support *2019-05-20* ibal does a great job of very easily entering data for a flight on a fuselage picture, creating the graphs and numerical view, signing, and submitting via email. The few problems that have cropped up for me were quickly responded to and followed-up on by the tech support team, who was diligent and personable in getting a resolution. Second, you need to be able to modify the data for the aircraft. ### 1/5 — The worst app ever *2023-12-13* This app is not bad, it is terrible. Feels like it was made by a first grader as an intro to programming class and they really did not want to do it in the first place. I would actually ask for my money back if I could. ### 1/5 — Augusta 119kx *2021-03-04, version 1.79* You could have already updated a new versions of helicopters... you are out of date and selling old data’s Waste of money... your app ### 1/5 — Why do I have to pay for this app again? *2021-02-17* I paid for the original iBal app but it is no longer supported with the latest iOS. Other than a name change this app is essentially identical to the original. Why do I have to purchase this app again at nearly $30 to have the same product I originally paid for? How long does the developer plan to support this app before “creating” another iBal app that you would have to pay again if you wanted a functioning iBal app? The app is very useful but creating another identical app which makes a previous iBal app unusable is a scam if you then have to purchase again. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2016-04-16* Wish I hadn't wasted $27 on this... The W&B reports are three pages, there are stations that can't be deleted ( i.e.: B212 Cargo baskets both sides) it's too cluttered for iPhone use .. A W&B app that allows you to entirely build your own configuration with lateral c of g would be a winner. I tried but deleted app in the end... ### 1/5 — Ibal rotary *2015-11-19* Ibal now crashes on my iphone 4 as well since latest update. It provides for very quick W&B calcs whilst on the run to ensure you are always certain of your CoG position within the appropriate envelope. The developer is very responsive to queries and recommendations.
