I used my watch to time and now I can’t scan. Then the scanner doesn’t work at all. Tried on black background, white, green, everything. Such a waste for a test that is imperative to my health ### 1/5 — Good in theory but doesn’t work *2021-10-11, version 1.5.6* A nice idea but didn’t work on my iPhone XR. Got so far as the scan to take a photo and it wouldn’t do anything. Tried 20 times , different angles and alignment with the test card and nothing. Frustrating. Not user friendly. Either my login info doesn’t work, or it just sits there loading and doesn’t continue. More often than not i have to delete the app and re-download to get it to work, but even then that doesn’t always work. Déjà que l’application n’est pas très UserFriendly, a quand les améliorations de cette application au fonctionnement désuet. ### 1/5 — Slow and unreliable *2019-09-19, version 1.5.6* The IBD test itself is extremely helpful and important to patients. However, the structure of the app is not reliable. Logins will generally shut off in the 10hr period while you wait for the test, logins don't work reliably, and the loading screen held me on load for an hour. The last test I did, the result couldn't get uploaded to the cloud for the researcher to view. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2019-07-05, version 1.4.8* Same issue as previous users, doesn't work. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2019-07-01, version 1.4.8* My experience is similar to that of the previous reviewer. The problems are too numerous to enumerate. ### 1/5 — This app sucks *2019-06-25, version 1.4.8* I was sent an email by my ibd doctor to get this app to perform a stool sample test. I was able to log in the first time but now when I try to log in a second time it says there isn’t an account connected to the email even though I already set it up. On top of that, I can’t find the email that had the information and download link for this app, it’s completely gone from my inbox (checked junk folder too) and I know I didn’t delete it. I can’t recreate a new account because I don’t have the direct link. Instead it says to sign up as a clinic which isn’t what I’m supposed to do. ## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — This app is a game changer *2020-04-27* This app is a complete game changer for me. I’ve had Crohn’s disease for 28years. Having the ability to check disease activity via the IBDoc app in the comfort or your own home is a powerful tool indeed. The IBDoc app is intuitive and user friendly. I simply followed the in App instructions, set the timer and waited for 12 minutes. I then have the result!! Can’t rate it highly enough. **Developer response:** Thank you for your positive review. We are very happy to hear that IBDoc is helping to stay home and hope that it will continue to do so. Won’t scan with iPhone 13 mini. I tried and had my partner try too. Neither of us could get a good scan in the timeframe. ### 2/5 — Irritating *2023-08-30, version 2.1.0* App forces your camera to use the flash, which blows the image out of focus into a brilliant beacon of white light. You have to keep the camera focused on the test for several seconds which is impossible when it’s looks like Gandalf’s ride across the pelennor fields. Had to cover my flash with my finger in order to submit my test at all - which may have compromised the integrity of the test as it gave everything a lovely red tinge. Camera still couldn’t focus properly since I had to be 1.5 cm from the test for everything to line up properly. The cheery reminder that your scan was late because of the app’s own faulty camera settings was just icing on top of an already infuriating situation. ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2022-12-21, version 2.0.1* Does this app actually work?! It’s so frustrating to keep trying so many times and it doesn’t capture the test. As others have pointed out the app won’t scan my test using my phone camera. What’s point if it doesn’t work??
