My mistake was I opened my brokerage account first and the account with all of my money is my IRA WHICH WAS SECOND. It said a notification was sent to my phone, but no notification was sent. I think it doesn’t send notification when the app is open. But of course, my app has to be opened otherwise how am I supposed to withdraw from phone. What this means is if I am traveling and don’t have access to desktop or laptop, I cannot withdraw my funds. I must have done this with 20 apps at least in the last 5 years. I have never experienced anything close to being as bad as this experience. Not only do you have to fill in details of the transfer before you do the transfer, where the whole window times out and closes when you switch to another app to get the details, it then asks you to go through the whole process again a second time after they’ve already matched the transaction. In the second one they force you to add a dollar amount, even when the transfer was not in dollars and your default currency is not set to dollars. It’s a painful and frustrating experience end to end. I had heard that this was a serious platform, and perhaps it’s great if you never need to move money into and out of it. But decent platforms let you move money in and out within minutes with just a couple of clicks.
