Dark mode (follow the iOS dark mode, ie. automatically switch when evening comes). I hate reading mail at night with MAAS. It’s so bright it wakes up my wife. 3. Can someone look into why? Not good when you have to keep opening the app to see if you have emails when performing an on call position. Another quality product from the people who gave Canada the Phoenix system. I have Verse (which is also rubbish) installed on my phone now just for the notification sound btw… because that’s efficient. ### 1/5 — One of the worse, if not worst, security solutions ever *2021-08-13, version 4.50.18* Being the new IT manager of a company who uses this software, I will get rid of it as it’s utter rubbish and provides no real solution for iOS devices. ### 1/5 — Apple or Microsoft ! Apple or Microsoft you have a HUGE opportunity to take this market over, NOW. And why is IBM in my email life ? it’s never been.. OUT NOW ! This is a money grab from IBM ### 2/5 — Notifications Stop Working *2021-07-16, version 4.40.20* I have list the ability to receive email notifications on my phone from the app. It has worked for years then stopped this week. ### 1/5 — Don’t love it *2021-07-13* I have this app installed for work, but I actually never used the app. I was able to get my email account added to the native apple email app and it worked great. Until I got a new phone. Now it shows the account, it knows it exists, but the actual email never gets pushed through. So, I have to sign into this app in order to get which is a HUGE pain. I have to sign in with my corporate password, and a alphanumeric PIN for Maas itself (or Face ID) and then I can get to the email. But only momentarily because if you read one and go back to the inbox, you have to sign in all over again. And it will randomly say authentication success, only to moments say authentication failure. All I want is my email pushed to the apple app. But it won’t work and no one knows how to help me. Edited to add getting any kind of support for this app is IMPOSSIBLE because they make you jump through so many hoops in order to even hope to talk to someone 🙄 Create an account with a corporate email (which I have extremely limited access to given the problem I’m having) to even open up a ticket? Why is all that necessary?? ### 1/5 — Constant Crashes!! *2021-02-25, version 4.10.18* Cannot reply to emails because it crashes every time you hit “reply”! ### 1/5 — Quick switch alignment broke *2021-02-25, version 4.10.18* The quick switch alignment won’t hide. It automatically stays right or left on ipad and iphone. Most up to date ios and app version. Other issues continue to add on. Get your crap together. ### 1/5 — Poorly designed, limited functionality *2021-01-11, version 4.0.37* This app is poorly designed and lacks very basic functionality (eg, automatic mail forwarding, attachment saving) that is found in nearly every other email app. The net result of these missing features as well as a plethora of overly-burdensome restrictions is that the MaaS360 app actively disincentivizes me from checking company email. I recommend avoiding this app at all costs. ### 1/5 — Do NOT use *2020-12-11, version 3.400.21* This app has the worst user experience. This is your last resort. Look for an alternative. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Poor design *2024-10-13, version 5.91.2* The latest release with all sidebar icons almost looking exactly the same is terrible. Not sure who approved that change but they obviously don’t use it. Looking at 5 icons of the same colour minor differences is useless. Then the main page of icons is an absolute joke. User design was not consulted. Hopefully they send out an update soon. ### 1/5 — New icon design makes a horrible user experience even worse *2024-09-16, version 5.90.11* I have no idea how someone designed these icons that look near identical (all white and blue hexagons), and some how made it through some sort of QA review. This app is a hindrance for productivity. I wish my company would switch to one of the many other security solutions that are from this century. ### 1/5 — Despite troubleshooting with support, it does not install Ibm App Store *2024-01-19, version 5.61.6* Tried to troubleshoot but despite best efforts, the Ibm App Store did not get successfully installed after Maas360. Could be something to look at as phone s/w keeps ugrading. ### 1/5 — Pathetic effort for an business app *2023-11-29, version 5.61.6* I always compare any email app with outlook. This app fails on all fronts. The newest issue is I can’t see my meeting scheduled in calendar. Every time there is an update to the App or IOS it stops working and has to be deleted and reinstalled for it to recognise the update has happened. Duplicate contacts, poor email interface the list is endless. Pathetic. ### 1/5 — Painfully slow to load email, send email or respond to email *2023-02-27, version 5.30.21* If I wasn’t forced to use this app for retrieving work emails, this would have been deleted a long time ago. ### 1/5 — Useless. *2022-12-04* Having to use this app is one of the worst parts of my job. The aggressive sandboxing is annoying from a workflow standpoint (can’t copy any text/links from emails, forced to use their awful browser, etc) but I can at least understand that from a security standpoint. What I can’t forgive is the number of times each day the app decides to just go completely catatonic for no apparent reason. I will often get notifications of new emails (though even that will often break), only to find my inbox and outbox are suddenly refusing to update once I open the app, even after forcing a refresh. Then it will magically fix itself a bit later, only to get stuck again. It’s absolutely infuriating and a huge waste of time. ### 1/5 — Worst email app EVER! *2022-10-14* For an app designed for use for businesses it amazes me of how unproductive this app makes me! It continues to tell me I have an email through a pop-up but when I check inside the app for the email it sometimes can take hours for that email actually shows because the app will not refresh. Secondly I continue to miss meetings set up because the calendar never updates for days. It is ridiculous that we have to even use this app! if I could I would give it no stars. ### 1/5 — Why why why *2022-02-16, version 4.91.1* I am devastated that we continue to use this app. Is it easier to not check emails and slowly but surely get behind anytime I am away? Yes. Absolutely. Do the app developers care? Plus being on a personal device it helps separate work from personal - which can only be a bonus. Other reviews bemoaning lockdowns / restrictions should aim their frustrations to their senior managers to feed into IT strategy. That is not a fault of IBM or the MaaS app! ### 5/5 — Good corporate container *2018-08-03* I don’t think MaaS360 deserves the negative comments it’s getting. It’s not meant to be a typically email app and it is not designed as such. It’s a secure mobile device management (MDM) solution. Any issues you have are likely your organization’s choice to turn certain features off. Don’t blame the product because of your company’s policy.
