### 3/5 — Missing functionality.

*2024-12-14, version 10.1*

I’ve used IBP since 2012, today I’m unable to scroll backwards on the graph. I’m missing the arrows to scroll, I need help

### 4/5 — Very useful app but lacking one very important (to me) feature

*2024-01-11, version 10.1*

This is a very useful app; I have been using it for a number of years now. I have no major issues with the app with one major exception: why is there no way to export the raw data for importing into a spreadsheet or database on the PC? I love the app for its ease of entering the data but am very frustrated by not being able to massage this data outside the app.

### 2/5 — Error when reading data from Withings

*2023-08-22, version 10.1*

Used to work fine, but awhile ago it stopped being able to extract data from Withings. Get a data format error.

### 2/5 — Ne fonctionne avec withings

*2023-08-10*

Quand je tente de me connecter à Withings avec IBP j'ai un message d'erreur disant que le format n'est incorrect.

### 3/5 — Unable to email

*2023-03-26, version 10.1*

The app is good but doesn’t let me email the data to a third party. It says it is not configured for email but changing that configuration in settings does not solve the problem. This is quite a frustrating limitation.

### 4/5 — Nearly there

*2023-02-17, version 10.1*

Been using this app for a few years. Doctor asked if I could provide a profile for the last couple of years since I had to temporarily come off tablets, but could only email / print data for the last 12 months. Any chance that you you could provide a start and end date for emailing / generating a BP report? Thanks

### 5/5 — Great simple app

*2023-01-13, version 10.1*

Love this app and my specialist also likes it. Great place to store all my data and see trends and historical data.

### 5/5 — I’ve been using this app for nine years!

*2022-12-02, version 10.1*

From day one I’ve loved this app. When the latest update removed the ability to scroll back through the data I was truly disappointed. Please bring this feature back. It’s vital to be able to see your progress over time.

### 2/5 — Meaning of “monitor “

*2022-05-05, version 10.1*

iBP app described as a monitor may mislead substantially; I understand a monitor to be a device which would record measurement but, crucially, would measure customer’s BP. Personally, recording was NOT of any use to me but measuring BP via an electronic device would be so convenient in comparison to ‘mechanical’ device that is very physically difficult to use! Ideally a little extra info would be helpful.

### 2/5 — Disappointing data failure - appears to be Abandonware

*2022-04-07, version 10.1*

This looked like a good app for recording my blood pressure readings and displaying readings and trends in useful graphical formats. It also offered the ability to import data, which would have allowed me to consolidate months of data from other apps, and from a spreadsheet I have of historical readings, without having to re-key them.

I have been doubly disappointed.

First, the import/export does not work as it is described in the app. The instructions give the column order and format, and even show an example of what the import ‘date’ field should look like. I followed the guidance and imported my historical readings. Systolic, diastolic and pulse readings were imported, but the date and time fields were ignored, and all dates set by iBP to the year 1970, 1st January. Editing those back in the app was a nightmare. To check the format being used by iBP, I created an export CSV file, and saw that the dates and times were not exported in the format described, but showed a ten-digit integer instead. This happened no matter what date formats I chose in the device (iOS). This made the import process useless.

The app FAQ says to contact the developers if you need help with data formats for import/export. So I wrote, explained the problem, and asked for advice.

This led to my second disappointment : no response. My query was ignored. They wouldn't help.

For those who may have come up against this incorrect dates/times issue, I eventually figured it out, along with a workaround. iBP is exporting dates and times, not in the format advertised, but as a single number which is the number of seconds that have elapsed since midnight 1/1/1970 00:00.

To IMPORT your data from a spreadsheet or CSV file, create a column and use Excel (or whatever you use) to calculate the elapsed time in seconds between 1/1/1970 00:00 and the date of your reading. The are built-in functions that will do this. Then, when that column has been populated, delete the original dates column and reorder the columns into the form expected by iBP. When the data is imported into iBP, dates and times of readings will display correctly.

If you need to EXPORT, then it's just the reverse ; use spreadsheet date functions to add the number of seconds produced by iBP to the base date 1/1/1970 00:00 into another column, then edit the CSV output file to the columns and order you need.

The no response was disappointing. It effectively makes this app, good as it could be, mere abandonware. I switched to another app instead.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Stopped working & developer’s website has been deleted.

*2024-11-18, version 10.1*

** DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME DOWNLOADING THIS APP **

This was a very useful app but now has suddenly stopped working with Apple Health meaning I now have to enter the details twice. It’s also not been updated for five years and the website has gone indicating the developers have abandoned it. Transfers between iOS devices are no longer working now. Don’t waste your time with this one it will stop working altogether soon.

### 1/5 — Not receiving emails

*2024-06-13, version 10.1*

Tried to send readings of my BP and didn't show up in email.

Used help articles and morning about my problem

### 1/5 — Withings connection doesn’t work

*2024-03-08, version 10.1*

Withings connection doesn’t work anymore.

Loading data from Apple Health leads to app freeze, i.e. doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Working?

*2024-01-27, version 10.1*

Does anyone still have this App working? No longer works for me and hasn’t for some time.
Shame as was a good App. Just shows no data or claims it’s in wrong format…

### 1/5 — Stopped working with Apple Health

*2023-12-05*

This was a very useful app but now has suddenly stopped working with Apple Health meaning I now have to enter the details twice. It’s also not been updated for four years indicating the developers have abandoned it. Don’t waste your time with this one it will stop working altogether soon.

### 1/5 — Total Lie

*2023-11-28, version 10.1*

I just noticed the website for Leading Edge saying explicitly that Withings BP and Weight measurements are automatically downloaded to iBP; this is completely fanciful. Up to about two years ago BP readings could be seamlessly downloaded to iBP, at least until the link was suddenly broken. Now when you try to download to iBP Withings BP readings, you get this: “Error; The data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format”. As for weight measurements , they’ve never been an option as far as I know.
You can’t even manually move data in or out of iBP because once in iBP, the date/time is converted to a strange ten digit numerical code incompatible with any human language and with .csv transfer protocols. As for the backup and restore commands they wipe out and replace all content. In effect the only data input procedure that actually works reliably is manually. Wifi data transfer works between iPad and iPhone assuming you have an existing intelligable data set to share (and which is .csv compatible), but it’s so confusingly bidirectional.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2022-08-07, version 10.1*

Log into Withings account to import data numerous errors and failures appears to have more than a few bugs

### 1/5 — Loss of Data Import and Export Capability

*2022-07-31, version 10.1*

With the advent of health data transfer interoperability, I am sad to see the disappearance of IBp’s link to the Withings App. Withings BP and weight data integrates seamlessly and automatically within Apple Health, which is great, but no other BP app compares to IBp’s graphic displays of BP data longitudinally. That makes it even more distressing to lose the ability to at least be able to periodically download BP data from Withings’ Healthmate online. Of course ideally one would have liked it to be fully automatic, but now one has to periodically download BP data from Healthmate online, then reformat the data to match iBP’s format, to be able to import the data into iBP. This discourages me from using iBp on a regular basis because my only other option would be to manually input my BP data into iBp which seems even more ridiculous in this day and age of health data integration, ata

Nothing appears to have changed and
iBP-withings data connectivity is still broken

### 1/5 — Have to enter everything manually

*2022-06-12, version 10.1*

Ever

### 1/5 — Stopped importing from apple health app

*2022-05-06, version 10.1*

Was working fine for years, now the app stopped importing data from apple health. Contacted the app support link for assistance and they never responded.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-06-21, version 10.1*

I have recently purchased a simple blood pressure monitoring device, with no way of exporting the data.
I looked at available Apps and iBP looked ok, and is easy to use. Simple data entry, great charting and easy to output a summary to my doctor, via email. I would highly recommend it. I would like to be able to enter weight in Kg, rather than pounds.

1 year follow up: BP is now very well controlled possibly too much so ( postural hypotension) so the dose of Lercanidipine has been reduced. I send the monthly summary to my GP & Consultant. I am constantly under 140/80, in keeping with current recommendations. Lercanidipine reduced again in June 2026

Summary: good simple app that gives me all of the information that I need & is easy to export to GP/ Cardiologist.

### 5/5 — Long time user!

*2026-02-07, version 10.1*

Used this for years and it’s great. Connects with Apple Health, shows trends and graphs….just easy and nice.

### 5/5 — Excellent since 2009

*2025-12-12, version 10.1*

Thank you for this excellent app! My first BP reading dates back to December 8, 2009. The syncing to and from Apple Health remains flawless and the graphs with trended data are excellent to this day. After 16 years with the app, I hope the developer remains dedicated to whatever updates are needed to keep the app going for years to come! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2025-05-24, version 10.1*

I have been using this app for almost 14 full years now with daily readings including weight. In all that time, I have missed no more than 30 days total! Love it!

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-03-30, version 10.1*

Love this app , it’s the best !

It is an excellent app.
I have used this app. from 2018.
Only this app. can send csv data file via email.
No other app. can mimic this excellent function.
Also this is free to use.
Thanks you developer!
LONG LIVE THE APP!

### 5/5 — So useful and easy to use

*2023-04-14, version 10.1*

Both my doctor and I love the charts of readings. The ease of input and the customization can’t be beat. I have been using this app for years and think it is the best.

### 5/5 — Recommended by my Dr

*2023-03-21, version 10.1*

My Dr turned me on to the app and I love it

### 5/5 — Excellent Product

*2023-02-06, version 10.1*

I almost forgot I had this app. I am the type that I am always looking for the next "better" app. I find this is that "better" app. Easy to use and I share it with my doctor. Other apps may have additional options but Pareto's Law comes into play. Stick with something that works - like this app.
