### 4/5 — Good

*2026-07-30, version 9.4.1*

I’m just starting to use this program, but it seems good so far! I have a lot of music on my hard drive that just isn’t streaming anywhere, so it’s nice to have access to it. I wish it had Last.fm compatibilty, though.

One thing I noticed is that I can’t pause a song for more than 10 seconds without it completely restarting when I hit play again. It’s pretty frustrating. Otherwise, so far so good, and I’m looking forward to getting everything backed up!

### 5/5 — Super App

*2026-02-13*

This is the best music app you could ever wish for!

### 5/5 — Finally found my solution!

*2026-02-08*

I’ve been trying to find a service/app that can store my library of music all in FLAC & be able to stream it to all my devices. I finally found iBroadcast & it’s been working like a charm! A couple little bugs but the service team seems active in responding to them. So far so good & I’m really enjoying. I have the subscription & it’s a fair price so hopefully it’s enough to sustain this because this is great.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2026-01-09, version 9.1*

Fantastic App that works great with Sonos

### 5/5 — Well Organized and a lifesaver!

*2026-01-05*

After using another cloud service to host my music library for years (which was buggy and unreliable), I was so thrilled to come across iBroadcast. I’ve only been using it for two weeks, but I’ve been so happy with the service so far. Fast uploads, streaming has been effortless, and organizing has been great. I hope this service never goes anywhere. I signed up for the paid subscription right away. If you’re looking for a place to host your music library for streaming, this is the place!

### 5/5 — 1

*2025-12-29, version 9.1*

My favorite app. Ever.

### 5/5 — Best kept secret ever

*2025-12-14, version 9.1*

Seriously, I have loved using this app for years. Streaming my OWN music over the cloud AD FREE is a rare find. Customer service has been great at helping resolve hiccups, too. Nothing but the highest praises.

### 5/5 — Bighomiefromda5thfloor

*2025-12-11, version 9.1*

Love it & #1 App on the App Store 😇😇😇

### 5/5 — Brilliant app!

*2025-11-17*

This app is great if you have a large music collection in high quality audio. I have nearly a terabyte of music, mainly in flac or high quality MP3’s, there is too much to fit on a phone and I usually keep a couple of old iPods, with upgraded solid state hard drives and Rockbox software to play my music through wired headphones. Streaming packages are very expensive and in return stream music at low resolutions., nor do I want to pay to stream music I already own. Yet this simple app allows you unlimited storage, a top rate customisable player and a streaming service for free! Google, ICloud or one drive would be charging you £10 a month just for the storage, yet here it is free - and the cloud services I mentioned don’t give you the ability to play and stream the music in the same way.
The only drawback to the free service is the maximum playback resolution of 128kbps. I had no hesitation in signing up to play at lossless quality for just £3.49 a month. I don’t normally do subscriptions but this whole app is just ridiculously cheap for what it offers and, unlike many other fancy apps, it is feature packed and it simply just works flawlessly.
I now have my music collection at CD quality on my phone, my PC and my iPad. Support apps like this, they deserve it.

### 5/5 — Love!

*2025-09-13, version 9.0.2*

Best app out there for listening to owned music. You can also listen via web.

### 5/5 — Google music replacement

*2025-09-10*

This is the best replacement for google music that I’ve found. The only negative is that it needs a better interface for editing your music, once it’s uploaded.

I have now used this app for about 2-3 years. It’s an excellent streaming app and I have never had any issues

### 5/5 — My favorite way to stream my music library

*2025-09-02, version 9.0.1*

Thank you for making iBroadcast! It is perfect for me. Love being able to access my whole music library on all my devices. Love how easy it is to update my library from my laptop when I add new songs.

### 5/5 — Add a lifetime premium option

*2025-08-21, version 9.0*

I won’t pay for a subscription but I can pay for a lifetime fee

### 5/5 — A large digital collection needs storage, so…

*2025-07-19*

I’m aware that streaming music renders a digital music locker, like this very good one, redundant. Keeping music files could still be useful for, say, normalising the volume, finding and storing the lowest transparent bitrate, or sticking with a preferred digital master (some folk won’t accept what happens to be available with Apple Music et al).
Benefits for music lovers are easy playlisting, FLAC playback, customised display, release year distinction, and so on… iBroadcast’s ecosystem is well done indeed, and while it can be an expense (not unreasonable, mind) when I obsolesce one or more hard drive/s it be a perpetual benefit.

### 5/5 — Just fab

*2025-07-05*

Amazing app, so easy to use, thank you.

### 5/5 — iBroadcast Works

*2025-05-29, version 8.9.3*

When Amazon and Sonos decided to move from their model with your own playlist from purchased music to now it “plays a few songs then gives you “new” music. Also, The AMZ platform is frustrating. Last year I uploaded ALL 200+ CDs to iB and have not looked back. They have features I do not use but you might. They have slowly improved the UI and added features. I started free and use it so much I voluntarily pay a monthly.

They make it easy to download it all to your own drive as well.

Yesterday I got the last of my MP3-only off Amz. Free at last.

Works well with Sonos.

### 3/5 — “Free up space to re-enable”

*2025-03-28*

I don’t like how songs will automatically download every time I play them in this app. So I set the settings to stream only. But now, every other song I play, I get this banner notification in the app saying “not enough free space. No more tracks will be downloaded to the device. Free up space to re-enable”. This is very annoying. Can this banner notification be removed? I just want to stream my music without it downloading to my device, and without being pestered about it.

### 5/5 — a few suggestions

*2025-02-16, version 8.8.2*

first, love the app as it's absolutely perfect for downloading songs to listen to in the cloud. second, i have some suggestions for the next update:
1. add volume control to adjust volume for the app separately from other apps.
2. include album covers/thumbnails while scrolling through playlists. (kind of like spotify premium does)
3. allow to pin playlists so it's easier to find.

again, love the app and will continue to support it! just a few suggestions to make it a little better. thank you!

### 5/5 — Flawless

*2025-01-24*

Uploaded my entire library and it’s honestly been amazing since I started using it a few months ago. I paid for the premium version from the start as I was immediately sold on the idea and it hasn’t disappointed. Neat little app!

### 5/5 — Delighted

*2025-01-11, version 8.8.2*

I was delighted to discover this App and service. Have now uploaded my entire collection with very few issues and seems to play trouble free.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Stops after each song

*2023-11-27, version 8.5.6*

Worked fine on my old phone. I got one of the new ones in October. It stops playing after ever song — still! I have to kill the app and reopen before it will play again. I can’t believe it hasn’t been updated to solve the problem! Please fix your product. 🙏

### 1/5 — A music app that needs to share health data with the developer?

*2023-09-17*

How come that the app needs to share health data? This is an app to play music, not a fitness app. That does not make sense to me.

### 1/5 — Gave up!

*2021-01-12, version 7.4.5*

Slow, buggy, freezes almost every time you click on something. It’s a real shame as we really need a decent cloud streaming app for personal music libraries. I just gave up with it eventually.

### 1/5 — Does not seem to function as expected.

*2018-07-01, version 5.8*

It seems the app is broken. Upon authenticating, it fails to login, as the app proceeds to freeze, and lock up.

Nothing positive can be said of something with zero functionality, unfortunately.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work...

*2018-05-06*

I simply do not understand why apps such as this one is permitted to advertise a service that DOES NOT WORK. This isn’t the app you’re looking for; move along...

### 1/5 — I what ..... ??

*2018-01-23*

Nothing works can’t upload my music.
Request to join failed message every time I try to do something.

### 1/5 — iPad Pro

*2017-10-13, version 5.2.1*

App not letting me sign in with Facebook app

### 1/5 — App never downloaded any music

*2017-08-19, version 5.0*

Web wanted to download 11.36 MB and create a zip file, ok, nothing happened. The iOS version just spinned stupidly. I have a 30mb connection. Android wants to install another app. Good bye, not worth the time considering I have 96000+ MP3s on hand. Someday I'll just create my own cloud service and use that. I'll stay with iTunes.

### 1/5 — IBroadcast

*2017-07-09, version 5.0*

This was a complete waste of time and effort. I wish I could block the app completely

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2017-02-05, version 4.9.2*

Ever since the recent update, the app crashes whenever you switch songs. Please fix this.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great Service

*2026-07-14, version 9.4.1*

Great app and service

### 5/5 — Dream App

*2026-07-13, version 9.4.1*

No more music ads or subscriptions. Good syncing. Upload your own music, I love it. Thank for you for this service! I couldn’t complain about a thing, never will.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-07-13, version 9.4.1*

The best app for cost effectively uploading your own library with zero hassle - no contest! And I’ve tried just about every other solution out there. Why do I like it? Genius in the simplicity. Excellent uploading function. Brilliant value for money. Unlimited upload capacity (unlike Apple Music for example that limits you to 100,000 tracks - - many digital music collectors have thousands more than that), flexible audio quality, integrated into Apple, android and tv eco-systems. No longer dependable on streaming services. I now much prefer to buy my own vinyl,CDs and Bandcamp
downloads and control my own collection. I reckon this might be the future.

### 5/5 — Excellent service

*2026-07-10, version 9.4*

I’ve enjoyed this app, it’s worked well on my iPhone and iPad. I like to download albums primarily but streaming works well too. Premium service is worth it but the free version works very well and the sound quality is still good enough.

### 5/5 — Recent update killed the app for me

*2026-07-08*

After updating the app in the last few days, it is now unusable for playback. It crashes and closes continuously.
Web version on desktop still works great. Music still uploads stores and sorts. But access from the app is virtually useless now.

### 5/5 — Nothing else like it

*2026-06-30*

Honestly the most amazing service. I can’t believe it exists at all, let alone the fact that most functionality is completely free. Just download it, build your own library of music you love and unsubscribe from your streaming service. It’s brilliant.

### 5/5 — GOAT

*2026-06-08*

This is the greatest music app of all time if you have a large quantity of music and you want it on the go.

Only issue is I wish it was easier to edit big groups of music. And sometimes Album artwork isn’t available. But I’ll just google the image and upload it myself.

### 5/5 — Best cloud streaming app!

*2026-05-28*

I’ve been using this app since I discovered it almost a year ago. My library is 200+ gb and growing. The free version is totally worth it for storage alone! I quickly changed to premium to help support the program and develop. And stream my Flac and Alac high quality files. Added percs are being able to edit metadata and redownload! Can’t wait till they figure out the shuffle by entire album option (play full album then shuffle to a different full album). Unlimited cloud storage, streaming at highest quality uploaded, and editing metadata. For me it was a no brainer.

### 5/5 — An excellent cloud music library player

*2026-04-22*

I am a fairly new user and this service seems great so far. I had used another similar service for a while but it had too many problems. I have not experienced such problems with iBroadcast.

I would make two feature requests though:

1. It would be nice if there were an iBroadcast Mac app for playing your library rather than having to use a browser on a Mac.

2. The Apple TV app would be much better if you could control the library with the Apple TV remote rather than having to use your iPhone.

### 5/5 — Love This App!

*2026-02-26*

I love this app, it lets me listen to my entire music collection that I've uploaded to their servers. Some of my collection isn’t available on streaming services, thanks to iBroadcast I’m able to listen to them wherever I am, even the 24 bit Hi Res music I’ve purchased elsewhere and uploaded to the iBroadcast servers!
