Doesn’t seem to do anything

### 5/5 — BEST app for accessing my “Calibre Library” stored in iCloud

*2021-03-15*

Ever since Calibre (on my MacBook Pro 💻) saves its “Calibre Library” folder on iCloud Drive/Documents folder, I’ve been trying to find an app that allows me to access my “Calibre Library” natively via iCloud.

Instead of the cumbersome usual way of running a Calibre server 24/7 on my Mac, which means I need to keep my Mac turned on 24/7 (waste of electricity).

LOOK NO FURTHER.

iCalibre is the solution.

The only tricky bit is the Initial setup:
1. Open iCalibre app, and Search for any book (eg “Alice in Wonderland”)
2. Download the book (it will download the iCalibre Manual/initial setup instructions ebook)
3. Follow the initial setup instructions in that ebook, to open your “Calibre Library” iCloud folder. (Incl. copying your entire “Calibre Library” folder from your Mac —> to iCloud Drive/iCalibre folder)
4. Use iCalibre to open all your Calibre Library ebooks from now on. Live happily ever after.
