So here is the issue I'm having specifically with the iPad app. It records and you can view it from other devices but... You can't view your recordings (specifically the iPad app one). If you try to click on the app to view what was recorded, it shuts down and kicks you out of the app so all you can do with it is watch live movements but cannot review recordings. I have literally tried all the tricks I know. So many variables must be satisfied that any one of which can block success. Example, IOS ver, iPhone version, router variables, PCs on and on. Help file will say, "there are only two things causing".. But, each of those causes are caused for multiple reasons. I chased my tail and I just give up. I lost my money on this one. ### 4/5 — Worth it *2014-10-19* This app works great for me. I currently have 2 iPhone 4's as cameras set up. The reason it only gets 4 stars out of 5 is that if the phone you monitor with leaves a wifi connection, it's hard to check in without continually refreshing. I was originally stymied because I was worried my screen would burn out, but once the app is running, you can touch the screen causing it to go black and the app will still be running. ### 2/5 — Screen has to stay on *2014-09-07* This works and is easy to set up and use, but the screen of the source has to stay on to work. I would like to be able to set it up and hit the lock button and have the program still running. You get a fully function CCTV surveillance system (well, judged on amateur or home user standards. Yes, there are some tech chicanes to steer round until you get the full hang of it, but tech support is excellent with rapid response. I have even got my old iPhone 3GS set up as an extra camera. The motion detection alert system works very well - so you don't even have to have iCam running on your receiving device (e.g. iPhone) to know something is going on. Just one criticism - there doesn't seem to be a version of iCam as an app for Mac. There's supposed to be a web browser interface but so far I haven't got this to work. It may be me - I haven't really worked at this. ### 5/5 — I - CAM *2015-12-02* I've had these extra eyes Going on 6 years, I've seen things people shouldn't see but I keep watching and seeing these things and I'm not going to stop now. Put you a pair or two up you might see what wasn't meant to be seen by you. Maybe I saw you and, don't worry I won't tell anyone that you know Don't get caught pal. It's a had process but having iCam gives us piece of mind. It's pretty reliable and the only time we experience drop outs is when the our service switches from wifi to LTE. ### 5/5 — Peace of mind *2014-11-27* I live with shady family members, now i can leave my room knowing i got an eye in the sky looking over it for me. I just use my ipod touch for a camera and my iphone to monitor. Just needs a better way to view motion alerts w/o having the camera running at the same time.
