Auch bei Eingabe in browser an einem anderen Gerät, tut sich nicht. Schade:( ### 1/5 — Funktionert nicht *2019-11-03* Auf dem iPad 2 Air funktioniert die App leider nicht. This would nice if it work I need it for my job. ### 1/5 — Bizarre and nonfunctional *2015-07-07* This app is disappointing, bizarre, and nonfunctional. When you start it up it gives a web address to give to other people. When they enter it on their browser they should be able to see what you say when you have the app open. Nothing. The app flashes and jumps and shows red at the top of the screen. Nothing is transmitted. I checked my iOS settings to to make sure the mic was enabled. I tried entering text directly. Nothing is transmitted. There is no help, no settings, no clues what you need to do to make it work. Just a nonfunctional mystery. Also it seems bizarre that if two people had the app installed that one would have to use a web browser. I would really like it to work but for now it's a total waste of time and memory. ### 2/5 — Print too small *2017-09-13* Great idea, but most people hard of hearing are likely also to be elderly and have poor eyesight. This won't do for us, sadly, because print is much too small. ### 2/5 — Worked Temporarily (One day) *2017-01-19* Tuesday worked fine at home. Took it next day to work and speech (microphone issue probably) not transformed/tranlated into text. The typed text goes thru, and the "Sorry....." icon sends the message, to the website. Tried iPhone 6, iPad same problem. Concept wonderful. Would use for patients with hearing impairment. Will try and use periodically hoping the bug gets fixed. Would pay too, assuming functionality. If you find yourself screaming at your loved ones because they can't hear, do yourself a favor and get this app immediately. I set an iPad in front of my dad. Everything i say into my iPhone is immediately displayed on the iPad for my dad to read. Setting up the app is super simple and is only required on the input device. An iPad in landscape mode seems like the perfect display and larger fonts are a point-and-click away! Using an iPhone for input is perfect as you could use a hands-free device with the phone in your pocket. This is a life-saver! ### 5/5 — Großartige Idee *2015-03-23* Diese App Hat ein riesiges Potenzial. Nicht, dass durch diese Methode Gebärdensprachdolmetscher für Gehörlose arbeitslos werden. Aber einen Spätertaubten Menschen kann es schon sehr helfen. Viel größeres Potenzial sehe ich außerhalb der Hörgeschädigten. Die Übersetzungsfunktion (ja, natürlich eine Google Übersetzung mit allen vor und Nachteilen...) funktioniert sehr zügig. Ich denke an Schulen mit Elternabenden bei nicht deutsch sprechender Eltern, die hiermit zumindest einige Inhalte verstehen können. Selbstverständlich immer mit der Gefahr von Übersetzungsfehler, aber das würde auch bei einem menschlichen Dolmetscher je nachdem, wie gut oder konzentriert dieser arbeitet passieren können. Natürlich wäre es schön, wenn der Text irgendwo noch für später gelesen werden könnte, aber aus Datenschutzgründen finde ich es konsequent, wenn er nicht gespeichert wird. Denn dieses entspricht dem Verständnis eines gedolmetschten Textes. Den Nachteil, dass die Siri - Diktierfunktion nach einer gewissen Zeit sich von selber beendet und man die Mikrofontaste wieder drücken muss, kann man nicht dem Programmierer anlasten denn dieses ist vom Betriebssystem so vorgegeben. The text and "Sorry..." buttons work, but the app never hears sound. Tried with and without headset as well. update: For no apparent reason, it works today - and works amazingly well!
