Causes more trouble than it’s worth. *2023-07-23, version 3.11.2* The app is complete trash. Crashes when you need it most. And forget about updating your pin if you have mfa enabled. Once you request the code the app will kick you out to the log if screen. I hate that I have to go to the mobile banking app to open this app. It would make way more sense to have it all in one app or allow login credentials to open this app without the help of the other app. ### 1/5 — Please fix *2020-02-09, version 1.0.12* I cannot transfer between the regular Iccu mobile banking app and Iccu card control. It says service error. I have reinstalled both apps and still doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — An App to open an App *2019-12-12, version 1.0.12* This app used to open and show my cards. I used it every day without issue. Now, for the past 8 months, it makes me open the banking app, then from that screen I have to open card control. So an App to open an App. What is the point? I have deleted and reinstalled, called the bank twice.. still no solution. ### 2/5 — Wish this was better *2019-11-04, version 1.0.12* I have to protect my account because some how there’s an internet sight that gets my info occasionally but even when I have my spend limit turned to $2 they will pull $10 or $20. I have to turn my card completely off to get full use of this. The other options are very confusing and don’t always work. I’ve been at the store with crappy service trying to get it rest.Which is a pain when you’d like to leave your card on a small limit so your not scrambling to turn it on at Starbucks because this app really doesn’t always work. I’ve had times where it wouldn’t let me log in and I had no way to turn it back on and I’m needing groceries or gas. This app makes you go through the main icu app currently and you have to do it twice to get in. Click card control once it will send you to a login page that doesn’t work, then go back again to card control to get in. If you want to login through the card control app you can’t because it never recognizes your username or password. If I didn’t have a Venmo card that is super easy to turn on and off I’d be in trouble because with all the very user unfriendly issues with this current version I could be left on vacation with no way to get my money since this is a local bank. Very scary when it’s your money involved. I am speaking for everyone who has had credit card fraud please get this app updated for someone like me it’s really important and it should be fast and super easy for people who are not technical to use. Picture an elderly person there’s no way they could use this. My husband would be lost also if I died he’d not be able to get into my account. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2019-10-02, version 1.0.12* Ridiculous app. Other banks don’t do this. Couldn’t even register ### 2/5 — Inconsistent and frustrating *2018-05-31, version 1.0.2* Update: Do not use this app. After two hours online with support, the solution appears to be to simply disable all app controls. The concept is promising but the execution is flawed. Beware relying on this app for international travel! It worked as expected in Iceland. However, the following day in Ireland it has failed repeatedly, causing much frustration and embarrassment. Setting the location has no effect. Transactions are denied claiming the location is not allowed. Contacted support to be told that explicit transaction types must be allowed (however, this was not the case in Iceland). But even after allowing all transaction types, the card is still denied. And because of the time difference, I cannot contact support in Idaho until 2 pm local time. Only giving this 2 stars because the concept is promising. But it should also just be part of the primary ICCU app, not a separate app. ### 1/5 — Make it one app *2017-12-09, version 1.0.2* Why have 2 separate apps??? Efforts to shut off the app makes no diff. Do not recommend. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Hate it *2024-02-12, version 3.11.4* Constantly making me re enter passwords even with the remember box checked locks me out and asks for a code but just doesn’t send it disappointed for sure ### 1/5 — Card control controls nothing *2023-02-26* Doesn’t matter if you have your card blocked you’ll most likely still be charged and the CSR team will say “unfortunately” and not do anything about it. ### 1/5 — App is useless *2022-11-09, version 3.10.2* App does not do anything of value. Purchases will still be made and you cannot stop them. It’s also a separate app even though you can “access” it through the ICCU mobile app. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2022-09-08, version 3.10.2* App doesn’t work, every time I open the app the screen is blank. When I open it through the banking app it loads my card for a split second, then I get the same blank screen. Nothing opens or works at all ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2022-07-23, version 3.10.2* I have the banking app open and the card control all open like I’m supposed to but when I try to enable card control I just get a blank screen. Phone call to ICCU gave me advice to clear cache, check for updates and reboot. None of these worked so I guess I can’t use it. Disappointed. ### 1/5 — Please fix *2022-03-07, version 1.0.12* I have an issue I don’t know if anyone else has this issue but I have to launch the app twice to get it to enable Face ID. It never does it on the first launch of the app. It’s a minor inconvenience but it’s super annoying. I also rarely see this app needing any updating which for a bank app doesn’t seem very secure. I love ICCU and I know they pawn the app and development off onto someone else or a different company but seriously could use some ui improvements. Also I can’t see my checking and routing number in the same place and you have to go looking for both separately. Please make the app better. ### 1/5 — Functionality *2021-10-14, version 1.0.12* You can only open this with the ICCU app or else it bugs out reloading the same screen over and over. ### 1/5 — Does not work on iPad mini 5th gen *2021-05-22, version 1.0.12* Tapping on “Go to Mobile Banking” when first opening the app causes Mobile Banking app to crash. In Mobile Banking app, Card Control does not even appear on the menu. This makes it impossible to open Card Control. Why make an app that has to be opened by the original mobile banking app. Make travel plans an option in the mobile banking app. Just stupid & ridiculous. They still need to get their ducks in a line so they can have one app. Overall happy with this bank ### 3/5 — Needs nicknaming abilities *2022-11-06, version 3.10.2* Great app, but if you have more than a couple cards, it gets confusing fast. I have four business debit cards and three personal cards. So does my wife. That’s 7 cards each, with only “business debit” and the last 4 numbers of the card to go by. And that’s not to mention that an average of one card every few months gets hacked by someone online and needs to get replaced with a new one…with new numbers. And if a card is missing, unless you prepare for this exact situation, you usually don’t know the last 4 numbers, so it’s a guessing game. The physical cards at least have the business name written on the back below my name. So yes, great app, but ability to nickname each card would make it 5 stars for me ### 3/5 — Stopped working… heads up! *2022-07-22, version 3.10.2* App isn’t working for me anymore, and I really loved it and found it extremely helpful and convenient. Not sure what the deal is, and I’ve tried several things to fix it. Seems like the new mobile banking site and the card control app don’t work well together? Hope it gets figured out!
