## What is IceWinter Camp Planner?

TELL IT WHAT YOU ARE PLANNING

Create a trip plan by entering a few parameters: type of activity — walk, hike, camp, or fishing trip; expected duration; temperature range; snow conditions; and whether you are staying overnight. The app takes those inputs and generates a tailored checklist covering everything you need to prepare.

GENERATED CHECKLIST

Based on your parameters, the app builds a categorized list of items across six areas: clothing and layering, gear and equipment, water, food, rest spot setup, and organization. Each item includes a short explanation of why it is on the list. The checklist is generated entirely on your device using local rules — no internet, no weather API, no external data.

CHECK OFF AS YOU PACK

Tap items to mark them as packed. A readiness percentage updates in real time so you can see at a glance how much is left. Filter the list by category or by status — pending, completed, or custom items only.

ADD YOUR OWN ITEMS

The generated list is a starting point. Add custom items to any category for things the app did not include — personal medications, specific gear, or anything else you know you need. Edit or remove custom items at any time.

PLAN SUMMARY

Before you head out, review the summary screen. It shows your trip parameters, the readiness percentage, and any unchecked items still remaining. A disclaimer reminds you that checklists are general guidance and that real conditions, personal experience, and official recommendations should always factor into your decisions.

SAVED PLANS AND HISTORY

Active plans stay on the home screen. Completed plans move to the archive. Browse past trips to see what you packed, how you configured the parameters, and which custom items you added. Delete any plan through a confirmation step.

NOT A SAFETY TOOL

This app is an organizational helper for casual winter outings. It does not evaluate route safety, predict weather, provide medical instructions, or replace professional outdoor training. Winter conditions can be dangerous — always consider actual conditions and official guidance from relevant services.
