Emailed developer regarding issue with creating CSV in the iPad version of the app. The iPhone version of the app will create CSV with iOS 11 on iPhone and iPad (Pro 9.7) but have to use phone version of the app in portrait mode on iPad to see full screen. Emailed the developer same day I updated the app, haven’t received response yet (10-13-17) ### 4/5 — Oh Crap! *2017-10-03, version 2.3* I love this app and have relied on it for several years to manage multiple bank accounts. Much to my dismay, I’m now locked out following my update to IOS 11. I would like to be able to move a transaction from one account to another (in case I create it in the wrong account), print my data, and purge a range of old data-currently have to delete one transaction at a time and adjust my balance (the more transactions entered on an account the slower it is to input and reconcile new transactions). Otherwise, great app! ### 4/5 — Sync? *2013-02-12, version 1.8* I love the app but it lacks sync capability between IPhone and IPad. I will give it 5 stars if this capability is integrated into the next update ### 3/5 — Do not like the newest update! *2012-05-22, version 1.7* I find very annoying that I can no longer enter amounts from the keypad but have to use the tiny calculator on screen. I do not like that I cannot back-date bills that I forget to enter into the bills section. For instance, if I forgot to put an entry in for last months electric bill, and wanted to put it in now and show that it was paid a week ago, I can only date it today or in the future. I do sometimes forget to put them in until after it is actually due but I can't.. Also, why oh why do my entries on the ipad not sync to my iphone??? Are they not compatible? I also had to pay to install it on my iphone when I already had it on my ipad!!! Grrrrr... Please fix and you will get 5 stars! ### 3/5 — Mr. OCD *2011-12-02, version 1.6* Been using this app for some time now. I was very happy with it until the most recent update. Now you can't change the current date on new entries. You have to complete the entry then go back in and edit in order to change the date. It wasn't like that before the recent update. But a simple calculator would definitely make it a five star. I always have to leave app to do my calculations. However, the "Bills" section is another story. If the following concerns could be addressed this would be my go to accounting App and a 5 star. 1 - No back up feature, this is fatal. 2 - Bills section is clumsy, somewhat confusing, and entering re-occurring bills is odd. ### 4/5 — Everything in one place *2011-06-12, version 1.4* This app is great for keeping my accounts and for listing my bills. Furious! ### 1/5 — Don *2011-10-17, version 1.4* Do not get this app. I would give it no stars if I could. The app has no password recovery ability. There is no back up ability. Your information id held hostage by the app. You and your information are at it's mercy. At best this is a beta for what could be a very useful app. At this point, it's not worth your time or money. ### 1/5 — Better off using a paper register *2010-06-03, version 0* Not at all what I was looking for. It is simply a checkbook register that keeps track of the balance. It doesn't really help you reconcile your checkbook and there is no way to import your bills to your accounts. ### 2/5 — Perfect, but needs update *2020-09-01, version 2.5* Literally a perfect app, but the version I have is for the iPhone. I just bought the iPad 10.5, the iPad version of the app however needs to be updated so it will work with future versions. Sonmbol LLC, PLEASE update your app. I use it every week for my financial balancing. UPDATE: One of the most important features you can have on an app like this is to have it attached to the iCloud, or to be able to transfer data to a new device somehow. This *does* have the latter feature, but it’s broken for the iPad. I literally have years of data to transfer, but can’t. Despite this app being possibly the most simplistic ledger, which makes it wonderful, the developers are terrible with upkeep. Lowering rating until it’s fixed. ### 2/5 — No customer support *2015-09-27, version 2.3* Really disappointment. This is very basic and too much work to use it.Tried to get a response from customer support and they don't response. I recommend Account2 checkbook. ### 2/5 — Report/chart doesn't work *2015-01-21, version 2.3* I've entered several bills and each time I click the icon to show a chart/report it kicks me out of the application. I take care of my things and have found absolutely no reason to have to buy another iPad. My iPad is not broken. The screen isn't scratched. It works perfectly fine. Now, the developers of this app have made it impossible for me to use their app, which I purchased, on my iPad. I wanted to give them one star, but I know that the app is good. It just doesn't do me any good if I can't access it anymore. ### 2/5 — Doesn't work *2011-07-28, version 1.4* Can't enter more than one recurring bill. Can't convert a recurring bill to a payment, have to make a new entry. I have 2 bills due on the same date, only one shows in calendar view. Cannot sync iPad app and iPhone app which really renders them both useless. I was so excited to find this app, as I had been using a spreadsheet, but I'm very disappointed that it just doesn't work as it should. So far zero response to emails. :( ### 2/5 — Good start *2010-07-24, version 0* This app is a good start for simple check register entry. Most frustrating part is not being able to enter bills directly into the check register as you pay them. You shouldn't have to enter it into the bills section and then re-enter it in the check register. Simple to use and helps me keep a log of all my bank and credit card transactions. When I updated my ipad to ios 11, I was disappointed that it doesn't work anymore. I sent an email to the developer and they promised to update it for ios 11. Changing from using my paper checkbook to using this app took no time at all and was very natural. Bill tracking in the same app is a real bonus. I really like the way bills can be sorted by due date and also the total amount due at the top. The bills displayed on the calender helps me to plan out my payments (thanks). ### 5/5 — Very useful app *2011-12-14, version 1.6* I've been using this app almost from when it came out and ever since then, all my accounts balance without an hour of figuring where I went wrong. Of all the checkbook apps I've tried, and I've wasted more money than I care to count on them, this one is the best. Save your money and get this one first. Thanks for listening and adding the quickfill feature it is a great time saver. The inapp calculator is great new feature! don't need to leave the app to use a calculator. It does everything I need it to do for reconciling my bank account. Easy to use, easy to maintain, no bloated extras. Well done! ### 5/5 — A simple but effective app *2011-10-23, version 1.5* I love this app! its just like using a paper checkbook except you don't have to do any math - it calculates the balance for each transaction. Also in a paper checkbook you can not rearrange the rows but in this app you can rearrange the rows to match the bank statement and that makes reconciling my bank statements sooooo easy and quick. And having all my bills in the same app makes it really convenient to keep track of all my finances. Another great feature is that when a bill payment is marked as paid a transaction can be added automatically in the account used to pay the bill. ### 5/5 — Well done *2011-08-28, version 1.4* It has a very helpful feature of automatically making a payment entry in the account when marking a bill as paid. So when marking a bill as paid you don't need to manually make a entry in the account you paid it by, its done by the app for you. There are other such well thought out features that make this app a real gem. ### 5/5 — Great time saver *2011-08-05, version 1.4* I was just delighted by this app into writing this review. I have always hated balancing my checkbook but this app really makes getting that chore done very easy. Just enter you transactions and when you get the bank statement just update the entries order to match the order in the bank statement and thats it! the app calculates balance for each row so you can see the balances match up right away.
