## What is ICIDO?

ICIDO turns your iPhone's LiDAR scanner into an indoor map you can navigate — no beacons, no Wi-Fi setup, no internet. Scan a room once and ICIDO remembers its exact shape. Walk back in later and it recognizes where you are and guides you to any spot, even where GPS has no signal.

HOW IT WORKS
• Scan — sweep your iPhone across a room to capture its walls, floor, and furniture in 3D.
• Find yourself — tap Find Me and ICIDO works out which place you're in and exactly where you're standing.
• Navigate — pick a saved spot or tap the map, and a route is drawn on the real floor, steering around furniture and through doorways.

FEATURES
• Tag any spot — drop a waypoint ("printer", "exit", "room 204") and route straight to it.
• Rooms, detected automatically — larger maps split into named rooms at the doorways.
• Grow your maps — add newly scanned areas to a place, or combine two overlapping maps into one.
• Buildings — stack scanned floors into a building and ICIDO follows you between them.
• History — revisit where you've been with trails and heat maps.
• Share — send a place as a .spacemap file; the other person can open and navigate it.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything stays on your device. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no networking. Your scans never leave your iPhone.

REQUIRES LiDAR
ICIDO needs the LiDAR sensor, available on iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro models (Pro and Pro Max). It will not scan on non-Pro iPhones.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-08-26

TALK TO ICIDO
Tap the microphone and just ask. "Take me to the kitchen." "What's around me?" "Tag this spot." It listens, answers, and keeps the thread of a conversation so you can follow up. Everything is understood on your iPhone — nothing you say is ever sent anywhere.

ASK WHAT IT SEES
ICIDO can now describe what the camera is looking at and read signs and labels aloud. It runs entirely on your iPhone. Optionally, it can remember what it saw so you can ask later where you left something — off unless you turn it on, and it keeps words, never pictures.

PROPERTIES
Group the places at one site — a house, a garage, a workshop — and arrange them on a site plan the way they really sit. See the whole property as one 3D model, navigate from a spot in one building to a spot in another, and share the lot as a single file.

WHOLE BUILDINGS IN ONE SCAN
Scan two or three floors as one place. ICIDO works out how many storeys it has, shows you the one you're standing on, and follows you up the stairs.

Plus many fixes to scanning, navigation and maps throughout.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-15

Clearer guidance when a scan stalls. ICIDO now tells you what's actually wrong — whether you're aiming at a surface with too little detail for the camera to track, or simply sweeping too quickly — instead of always suggesting more light. Settings → Help explains why a bare wall is hard to track even on a LiDAR iPhone.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-09

A big update focused on the maps and everyday use:

• Tap any mini-map to open it full screen — and pick where you're going right on the map
• Name spots by tapping the map, no walking there required; names now show on every map
• One clear map language everywhere: blue is walkable floor, purple is solid, black is not yet scanned
• Group places into buildings (floor by floor) or properties (a garage, a parking lot and a house as one site)
• Find Me answers faster, and your places stay recognisable as rooms change over time
• Updating a map is safer: it can be undone, no longer doubles the floor, and can clear furniture you've moved away
• A hands-on guided tour teaches the app by doing

### 1.0 — 2026-08-07
