What is ICM?  The Independent Chip Model converts tournament chip stacks into real-money equity. Unlike a simple chip-count chop, ICM accounts for the diminishing value of chips as stacks grow — giving shorter stacks a fairer share relative to their survival chances. It is the standard method used in professional poker for final table deals.
