If it ain’t free, I don’t use them. But this one so impressed me after reaching my “free limit” of books that I decided to purchase the full version. And I have zero buyers’ remorse! And the one time a feature was added that was inconvenient, they responded quickly and chose to offer an opt-out of the feature! As a teacher I have many books and even after purchasing the supposed unlimited option was only able to put in 50 books and now asking for more money. I had them in a database perhaps 20 years ago which crashed. It’s taken me thus long to get over that failure and get my collection organized. I reviewed multiple “best” lists for book collecting and this app was the best. What seemed unique was that I could add pictures of the actual book in the collection. For some reason most, or all, either didn’t allow pictures, or only one picture could be used. This app now appears to be the gold standard with book collections. ### 2/5 — Only 30 books allowed for free *2024-07-19, version 8.5.2* As of 7/19/24, the max allowed of books scanned in for free is 30. This is ridiculous, as anybody who is scanning ISBN’s to add to a list has a large quantity of books ### 5/5 — Love this app but there are some bugs *2024-07-18, version 8.5.2* I love this app, I can take pictures of my books, organize them pretty much however I like, as well as change the organization easily. It helps me know exactly what I have, making it easy when I go book shopping what I have or need. There are a few annoying bugs in the app. Sometimes when I am putting in a new books info it changes to another book I have already put it! I don’t understand how this happens but it has occurred several times. I’m working down the list of info and them some I haven’t entered is already filled in, then I scroll to the top and see that I am now altering a previous book entry. So I have to back out without saving changes so not to alter a current entry and start over. Also when downloading the app on my tablet I see that several of my entries (originally set up on my phone) have reverted back to their original images from a chosen book entry, instead of the ones I changed them too (but only on my tablet, the images on my phone are correct) So I had to go in through my tablet and change/add the photos again. However I am enjoying the app and hoping that these small programing errors will be fixed in the future. ### 3/5 — Easy to use *2024-07-10, version 8.5.2* The app is easy to use and has settings to set how you want your list to show. The app, only allows you to add 30 books. Once you’ve added 30 you’ll need to pay. It never works correctly. I paid for the lifetime membership and all I’ve had is nothing but issues. I can’t scan my books in my book don’t load. It keeps telling me I’m not connected to the Internet and now I have to find something else to take this apps place because this app is not living up to it, but am I gonna get my money back? ### 1/5 — Wrong the book showed up when I entered the ISBN *2026-06-12, version 9.9.19* The very first book I scanned, came up with the correct cover for the book. I am scanning, the description is for the wrong book. I’m scanning a vintage sunset book called kingdoms for kids, but the description of the book that comes up is for a story, not a how to, something completely different. I don’t know if that’s because I’m scanning a vintage book and maybe a newer book has taken over the ISPN? But I’m not able to edit the entry. I am able to edit the title of the book, but not the authors, and not the description. Keeping in a spreadsheet was a pain. ICollect Books lets me just scan the barcode and it fills in all the details. It even tells me if I already have a copy, which helps to know before purchasing. Great sorting features too. I have a large library of books, music, and games and all 3 apps let me quickly create and maintain an accurate database of all my collection for ease of reference wither its on the go when shopping and I want to make sure I don’t already have a title or just to have a complete record in case of fires or other home disasters.
