### 4/5 — Einfach nur frech

*2025-01-05*

### 2/5 — Not impressed by amount charged

*2024-04-07, version 8.5.2*

I was enjoying this app while adding my cd collection. It functions well. Search works well and it’s clean. But when you hit just 30cds it ask for payment of $39.99! For a freakin app! I could see $5 and I would have paid but I’m not paying $40. Just charge up front and stop waist ing peoples time

### 4/5 — Recomendo Fortemente

*2024-01-13*

### 4/5 — Great app. Perhaps you could incorporate discogs.com or something

*2023-09-27, version 7.9.27*

I would like to be able to keep tracking of all of my music. I have a lot that is digital as well, and it’s difficult to find everything on here. Perhaps you could use a third party website to include more data

### 4/5 — In-App Purchase (Even Though Not Advertised)

*2023-03-29, version 7.9.5*

The bad: free version limits you to 30 items in your library.

The good: Very easy to use, very powerful search and updates system. It has a big library of titles across nearly every format available with a wide variety of search options. The wish list is great - keep a visual list of everything you want to acquire in a neatly stored location for that trip to Mill City Music in Hopkins, MN.

### 1/5 — Eh

*2022-03-02, version 7.0.3*

"hey no one's paying to upgrade, let's take more features away to force them"

This issued to be a great free app. Now it’s an app you have to pay for. Should be against the App Store rules.

### 1/5 — Sneak a pay wall in after 50 albums

*2022-01-15, version 7.0.3*

Lol

### 1/5 — Migration from old app did not work

*2021-12-28, version 7.0.3*

I had the old app for a few years with hundreds of LPs listed with a cover photo, I had to migrate to the new version which did not work, it changed my listings from Composer A to Z to Artist A to Z which is not what I require, also hundreds of title photos did not import from the older app.
I completely wasted years of making this archive, so now have no suitable archive, very disappointing and cannot recommend.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Immer neue Kosten 🙄

*2026-06-02*

### 1/5 — Do not buy

*2026-01-27, version 9.7.5*

I purchased what was supposed to be a lifetime purchase for $79. But it turns out it’s a yearly subscription and even with that the limit is 30 albums unless you purchase another segment. Complete rip off. Stay away, run for the hills and don’t look back.

### 1/5 — Data base barcode problems

*2024-09-08, version 8.5.2*

It’s finding the wrong info

### 1/5 — Lacklustre and waste of time

*2024-02-23, version 8.3.7*

I was having so much fun going through all of my rare punk vinyls only to get to number 30 ( I literally have over 500 ) to be told if I want to add more records I have to up grade ! Ha that’s ridiculous- save your self the time and hassle of being disappointed like I was and go for one of the better free apps

It deserves negative 5 stars

### 1/5 — Price is ridiculous!

*2023-12-16, version 8.1.4*

I got this because the previous app, Collectors, which I paid $30 for everything, was wiped out.
Now after entering 30 albums I have to pay another $30 plus more on top of that to get the alcohol, music, games, books! So at minimum I have to pay $60 to buy everything or $120 to get the 4 I need.

Ridiculous!

### 1/5 — Deceiving

*2023-11-29, version 8.1.4*

Nice app as long as you have less than 30 albums. After that you’ll have to pay $30 dollars to continue logging your collection. Lame.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2023-11-28, version 8.1.4*

Trash trash trash. I purchased their albums app and it no longer works because they switched to this subscription plan, all my list of hundreds of albums gone. Don’t trust them, catalogue your music manually into something that will still be functioning years from now.

### 1/5 — Lost all data

*2023-02-19, version 7.9.2*

I have thousands of vinyl records and been using this app for years. Simple update today without warning wipes all your data. Refuses to recognise my account so everything lost. There are many and better apps out there so will migrate to a different better supported app. Unimpressed

### 1/5 — Read Carefully before you start using this app

*2022-08-18, version 7.5.6*

It is not noted clearly but there is a 30 album limit on free version. ( at least I didn’t see it) I did not see this in the information unless you click on the in app purchase section. After spending several hours inputting album info the pop up comes telling you that your limit has been reached and if you want to add more it is $13.99…… not clear if this is an annual or one time fee… I think this should have been more clear in the initial description as there are other better pay for apps out there. Seems a little sketchy and dishonest. On me for not looking more carefully I guess, but if you are thinking of using this app, best you know this up front if you are looking for a completely free app, this ain’t it!

### 1/5 — Blatantly false advertising!

*2022-08-10, version 7.5.5*

This app was in the App Store for free with in-app purchases. What really happens is you are allowed to catalog 30 of your CDs and then you are forced to purchase the app for $9.99! Wasted hours of my life carefully cataloguing my CDs only to get the bait and switch. It was very much not appreciated.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to Use

*2025-08-03, version 9.1.1*

Recently stumbled on to the iCollect db’’s. These are very easy to use and maintain my collections of books, DVD’s and music CD’s
I had a problem reloading the applications onto my smart phone. Within hours a reply was sent telling hour fix my problem. LOVE THE SUPPORT!

### 5/5 — Why not be up front about it?

*2025-03-14, version 8.5.6*

I downloaded your app, & was loving it, until I got to the 30 CD limit & got your ransom note. A real shame, I like your app, & if you'd just tell us up front we'd gladly pay for the software. But a sneak ransom demand? Nope, into the trash you go. Such a shame...

### 5/5 — Top Vinylsammlung App

*2025-01-05*

Alles Sehr gut genau das was ich gesucht habe. Nur eins sollte verbessert werden das man es einfacher Drucken kan.

### 5/5 — Finally an excellent App!

*2024-12-08, version 8.5.6*

I moved over from Windows where I was using a free App, which although good was reliant on you filling everything in. Now on the iPad and using its Camera I find this is a pleasure to use. Forgot that I would have to pay but even so it’s worth the money as a one off purchase.

### 5/5 — Simple but powerful

*2024-11-17, version 8.5.6*

It is simplicity itself to add a disc to your database: tap on + and you are asked if the disc has a barcode. If you tap ‘yes’ the app opens your camera to scan it. It then displays the artwork and details. If they are correct you tap to approve and the disc data is stored. Then you’re on to your next disc. On the rare occasions that scanning the barcode draws a blank you can capture the front artwork with your camera from within the app and enter as much information as you need into the listed domains. Click save and you’re done. I have a collection of approximately 10,000 CDs and I reckon I’ll get them all scanned in with this app fairly swiftly. Other apps I have tried have fallen at the first hurdle requiring you to find and import artwork from the web and accessing fewer sources to identify discs. ICollect music is simple but powerful and I am pleased I came across it.

### 5/5 — Missing Link

*2024-03-15, version 8.3.7*

You can collect books, die cast cars, magazines, legos, stamps, coins, baseball cards or sports cards of any kind. But the collection is not complete until you have this app. It has helped me organize my collection and it’s an amazing assistant in arranging everything where I want it to go. If you collect, you must have it!!!

### 5/5 — Works Like A Dream

*2024-02-01, version 8.1.4*

This is a very simple tool for cataloging your vinyl collection. Just look out for a few edits that you may need to do. For example the same album may have several sleeve editions of release and recording dates. Also the band names… is it “The Beatles” or “Beatles, The”? But it’s all very easy to change in edit mode. If your album is relatively new it may have a bar code which this app will scan and import all the data for you.

### 5/5 — Very Useful App

*2024-01-13, version 8.1.4*

Great way to keep an inventory of your vinyl!

### 5/5 — Great music collection organization

*2023-11-01, version 8.0*

This is a great way to organize and keep track of your music collection. Great data base.
Only issue I have is I wish when you are adding large amounts of items you wouldn’t have to keep going back to (Add…Bar Code yes or no …then Save)
Keep it in Bar Code mode then Save for quick repetitive adds, switching to No Bar Code if need

### 5/5 — ICollect Music

*2023-10-24, version 7.10.0*

I love this App for my vinyl records.
So easy to add a new vinyl, update and add different information, linked to the internet for pictures and barcode scannable.

Would like to seem some fields that have a ‘live’ link for an items current value to either Ebay or Discogs, rather than ‘estimated?

Great product for insurance purposes.
