Leider hat sie aber auch einige Nachteile, welche sie für mich unbenutzbar machen. Zum einen werden die Cover der Comics teilweise nicht richtig erkannt, so dass nur ein Ausschnitt einer weissen Umrandung zu sehen ist. Außerdem ist es nicht möglich, einen Ordner in iCloud auszuwählen und alle Comics aus diesem und allen Unterordnern zu importieren. Außerdem ist er Zoom standardmäßig nicht gut eingestellt. Schade, Geld umsonst ausgegeben. Ich kann allen nur den “Chunky Comic Reader” empfehlen, der ist derzeit leider im deutschen Appstore nicht verfügbar, aber das ist für mich der beste Comic Reader auf dem iPad und er kostet nichts. ### 5/5 — Nice and simple *2025-05-25, version 1.7.4* I use this app to read manga and books I download. No progress bar displayed when copying multiple comics from Mac to iPad via USB, and after leaving the process running for 24 hours, library displays only gray placeholders for comics, labeled ‘importing’. Some comics begin to appear after several days, but after several weeks most are still stuck as “importing”. ### 1/5 — Used to be great *2024-01-08, version 1.7.1* I loved this app, used it for years and recommended it all around. But the most recent update has broken multiple parts. My library was entirely shuffled around, the comics swipe in a circular page move rather than switching between adjacent comics, there are no longer numbers telling me how many unread comics I have left in folders, the zoom is broken, whenever I import comics the app crashes. Phenomenal app ruined ### 1/5 — don’t update *2024-01-07* DO NOT UPDATE this update broke zoom behavior. where before a double tap would zoom to fill the screen, and a second double tap would zoom in to maximum, now there appears to be no way to get that initial page fill zoom. double tapping just zooms to max now. it also broke the currently reading icon next to the comic name; used to be a half red, half white dot for comics you’re reading, but now it’s just a solid red dot. updating the app will also clear your cache, which resets all thumbnails AND reading progress in all your comics. DO NOT UPDATE — okay edit like #4: found like three more problems but it i’m not going to keep listing them all in this awful app review text box. good grief dude revert this update. ### 1/5 — Too many errors, unable to add comics *2023-11-17, version 1.6.0* It’s hit or miss trying to add your CBR and CBZ files, mostly misses. The organization of my comics looks nice, cover artwork is evenly big and looks good over all aspec ratios, when you drop new comics into the coresponding folder the titles get shown in the app library right away.
