## What is icompanion?

icompanion is a free (no in-app purchases, no advertisement) app and webplatform (icompanion.ms) that helps you with the home monitoring of your condition. In between your doctor’s visit, a lot of information is lost: how you feel, which symptoms you experience, how strong these are, how your disability, fatigue and cognition are changing, etc. The app is currently available in English, German, French, Dutch, Italian and Spanish.

For all of this, you’ve got a companion in me! Unlike most of the other health apps, icompanion is a registered medical device. Hence, the information you monitor with icompanion can be used by your doctor to make decisions on your health. If you log-in at icompanion.ms with the same account information, you can share your icompanion information with your doctor. This can lead to more productive conversations and there is more information at hand for your doctor on how you’ve been doing.

icompanion is very easy to use, yet full of relevant information for you. In only a few minutes a day, you will have an overview of:
- Your daily mood
- Any notes you wish to add
- All your treatments, therapies, etc
- The symptoms you’re experiencing over time
- The severity of these symptoms

In addition, icompanion contains clinical tests that have been developed by the largest academic centers and that are used worldwide to monitor Multiple Sclerosis. These tests evaluate:
- Your level of disability, through the patient reported ‘Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS)’
- Your cognitive abilities, through the neuro quality of life (neuro-qol) questionnaire on cognition
- Your level of fatigue, through the neuro quality of life (neuro-qol) questionnaire on fatigue

Furthermore, icompanion allows you to upload your MRI scans to the webplatform (icompanion.ms). In this way, you can easily store all your medical scans in one secure and central space. You can scroll through your own brain scan in several directions and learn about what MRI can show (and what it doesn’t).

icompanion also includes a knowledge center, with relevant information that is explained. All of this together will help you to prepare for your doctor’s visit.

Finally, icompanion uses Apple Healthkit to collect daily steps and sleep data.

Take charge of your condition, monitor how you feel, track your health: let icompanion be your companion.

The icompanion team wants to learn your story and your ideas! Share them via support@icompanion.com.

### 2/5 — Great app but no Support

*2024-10-31, version 2.2.0*

I have been using the app for a few months and it was for me the best I could find. Now I can no longer log in and information on where to report in case of problems cannot be found. This makes the app unuseable.

### 5/5 — Zeer handig

*2024-08-26, version 2.2.0*

Zeer handig ook dat mijn neuroloog kan zien welke dagen ik goed ben geweest welke slechter wat er welke dag aan de hand was ( lees welke pijn en waar) leuke app mooie kleurtjes

### 5/5 — Great for convenient tracking

*2023-11-16*

I have been using this app for just over a month, it is so easy! I love that I can set a reminder about symptom tracking, that I can enter data late, I can add symptoms specific to me.

I have reached out to the support team twice with general questions and they have responded within 24 hours they are helpful and seem really dedicated to making this app work for people. I LOVE that they are not trying to cover every possible angle of MS in one place, the platform is clean and easy to navigate.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your review :) we are happy we can help your manage your MS. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions, feedback or suggestions for improvements.

Wishing you all the best,
The icompanion team

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2021-06-24, version 1.2.0*

Very good app! Nice and easy interface.

### 5/5 — App.

*2021-06-24, version 1.2.0*

Leuke en overzichtelijke app.
Zeer gebruiksvriendelijk, dit is voor mij een enorm voordeel omdat ik niet handig ben met elektronica.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2021-06-24, version 1.2.0*

Great app to track my symptoms, easy to use everyday.

### 4/5 — Great tracking

*2021-05-26, version 1.1.1*

So appreciate your switching from yellow on a white background to dark blue. Still getting used to the so. like the journal function because I can use the microphone. Some of the icons are still a little difficult to see because of contrast That’s the only reason for not five stars.

### 4/5 — ICompanion fir MS Sufferers

*2021-03-17*

The ICompanion Ap. Helps to keep me organized by having all my information stored in one place. It's been beneficial too because I can have my symptoms tracked over time. Also, I can add or delete information that I'd like to track. Furthermore, I have a place where I can write down and store pertinent information for myself. All of this information can be shared with my doctor and the doctor's office can upload this information as well. Lastly, the Icompanion Ap. Has a rep. That can assist you to individualize the Ap. For your specific symptoms.

### 3/5 — Has potential

*2020-09-04, version 1.0.4*

Not a bad app but basically worthless to me if I can’t add an entry the next day or edit past posts.

### 5/5 — Total support and control managing your MS routine

*2020-08-19, version 1.0.3*

I have been working with the folks from Icometrix before on a professional level before my MS became active again end of last year. If you’re into managing your routine around MS with a digital solution this is the perfect way to go. Very professional content, meaningful technical updates, and helpful information and features. All in a super cute and playful layout.
It gives me peace of mind using the app to fill the gaps in between neurologist appointments and tracking my wellbeing. Hopefully more and more patients will become acquainted with this kind of self management. To a certain degree this also means independence.
