### 4/5 — Very good and excellent techb upport

*2010-09-17, version 0*

This app does what it says.
Even though it faces some problems to download transactions from certain banks asking ID questions at each connection (this is not handled) it is easy to use and the interface is very nice, even better on the iPad.
The author is very reactive and very prompt at answering your questions, most of the time with solutions or a future correction for the next release. Excellent support.

### 4/5 — Good app!

*2010-08-05, version 0*

This is a great tool for anyone from a casual to experienced budgeter. It takes a while to type in the information though, an "import" function would be highly useful.

### 4/5 — Requires a lot of data input, but works well

*2010-07-27, version 0*

If you have the time and inclination to put in all of your information (and be certain to give it a SUPER secure password), then it's a great app.

### 4/5 — Helpful app!

*2010-07-19, version 0*

So far I've only used this app for about a day, so haven't input that much info yet. However, it seems very useful for keeping track of expeditures and income. I like the different display modes, will definitely be using this one more.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2010-07-19, version 0*

This is a great app which I can control all my accounts at once in an organized matter. I input my limit and it let's me know what's available. I know exactly what I can spend and never worry of going over my limit.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2010-07-19, version 0*

This is the one iPhone app I couldn't do without. I use this daily to track my checking, savings, and credit cards.

### 4/5 — A very complex app

*2010-07-18, version 0*

Seems to be very powerful, but it's hard for quickly just tracking some things. There's no easy tutorial for getting started, and it seems to be based around bank accounts-- not just what's in your wallet. Should be good for power users, but I'm not sure if it's for me. For someone just getting started in Personal Finance, what do I do with all the different fields, buttons and options?

### 5/5 — Simply the best

*2010-07-18, version 0*

I've wrestled with many budget programs on the iphone. This is the ones that does it right. Simple, fully featured, and very powerful to manage your accounts and money spending in the most intuitive way.

### 5/5 — It's worth it

*2010-07-18, version 0*

I've tried so many finance apps and this one is the best by far, especially when they added export and back up features. Great app.

### 5/5 — Excellent !

*2010-07-18, version 0*

I use it to keep a running balance of my credit cards, bank account and cash in-hand. I haven't used the reports too much yet but they also look good.

### 5/5 — Works great!!!

*2010-07-17, version 0*

I use it for tracking my money and monthly budget. Thank you for making such a complete app and also easy to use ;-)

### 1/5 — Stop forcing people to buy your new version

*2013-09-24, version 2.2.14*

Ever since iCompta 3 came out, whenever I open iCompta 2, a screen pops out asking if I want to upgrade to the new version.

You know what, I actually spent the money to buy iCompta 3 on my iPhone, but find it to be too cumbersome.

I already bought the iCompta 2 mac and ios versions, so I'm not going to spend another $20 to get the iCompta 3 mac version especially since I don't like it's ios version. I have also deleted the iCompta 3 ios version since the platform is too time-consuming.

The pop-up screen from iCompta 2 supposedly gives you an option to Not show the upgrade pop-up screen again, but it doesn't matter how many times I click on 'Do not display again', the stupid upgrade pop-up screen still pops-up every time I open the iCompta 2 app.

Have some moral values and stop pestering your loyal customers to upgrade to something that's expensive and useless. Otherwise, you will lose all of your customers!

### 1/5 — was a great start, now it got too old.

*2012-07-02, version 2.2.10*

I was looking for an app that replaces my Quicken. iCompta is NOT it. it was a good app when it was released, but the updates come too sparsely and not it's ancient. It is not possible to track 401K investments, Paycheck distribution doesn't work and all you get from the developer in the forums is "This will be available in version 3.0, but nobody knows when (if) this version will actually exist. I have completely switched my financial application to iBank for MAC and it's sync to iPad. Much better.

### 2/5 — Has potential

*2010-07-18, version 0*

This financial management is from first glance meant for business with a very minimal design which actually hurts usability. With no instruction the over utilization of submenus makes this a very time consuming budget analyzer to use. I think the user interface needs a complete redo to make it more efficient. Setting up various vague accounts is also an unacceptable waste of time as I mentioned earlier there is no clear concise instruction as to what the new people new accept new credit etc... mean. I will rate high with a complete overhaul otherwise I don't see this as a good app for people who want to manage their finances especially at a steep $5

### 3/5 — A great app with minor bugs

*2011-06-20, version 2.2.7*

It's definitely something worth the price. It allows you to add manage multiple accounts indifferent currencies, and categorized intelligently. Most importantly you can have it synchronized on multiple devices. I have it installed on both my iPad and iPhone, and they synced as it was advertised but a bit slow.

Here are a few things needed to be improved.

1. The balance calculated in each month does not show plus or minus, which is confusing because you dont know if you are in debt or credit.

2. I care a lot about the statistics in pie graph, but it's quite disappointing. It calculated the income and expense together. Wrong and confusing.

3. It'll be nice if I can view all accounts in one window. Maybe you can add one extra function?

Thanks!

### 3/5 — Buggy

*2010-10-28, version 0*

Some software simply needs to perform extremely well - finance software is one such type for me. Unfortunately, iCompta crashes on me fairly often... enough for me to stop and write this review. Word to the wise - hit the save button often. This app is almost worth paying for, but it needs some stability improvements first.

### 3/5 — Decent app, but why use this when you can use Mint?

*2010-07-16, version 0*

This app is perfectly functional and does what it says, and, if you are willing to take the time to use it, will keep track of your finances. That said, why even bother when services like Mint will automatically collect and present this data to you for free in a prettier and equally functional package?

### 4/5 — Great app. Tried a dozen, this is one of the best apps

*2011-08-16, version 2.2.8*

iCompta is one of the better personal finance apps available on iOS. Though it does have areas of improvement, for many users, this app is substantial enough that they don't need a desktop app:
• Direct connects to many financial institutions worldwide
• Uses the built-in browser to download financial institution transactions & imports into the app. Though requires a couple of extra steps, it's very easy & is offered as a free option to the direct connect which often are provided for a monthly fee
• Skip entering every transaction manually. Software should do the work for you. Any app lacking direct import of financial data isn't living up to that potential
• Simple transaction splits & you can add other people to the splits to track what is owed. Splits can be entered as % or in $ amounts, just tap the % which changes to a # symbol for $ entry
• Investments needs work, basically it's not supported yet, but is on the roadmap for the near term
• Graphs are good, better than most, but could offer more. Btw, turn the iPhone to horizontal for a better experience
• Tip: when entering amounts manually, tapping on the red arrow changes the $ entry from expense to income

Cheers !

### 4/5 — Good product

*2011-07-04, version 2.2.7*

Reconcile needs some work.
Need to be able to enter starting balance and end balance for reconcile. Also easier check off the transactions in reconcile mode would be appreciated. Over all like it alot!

### 4/5 — I like it!!!

*2011-04-16, version 2.2.6*

I'm not sure why this isn't a more popular app. There is no other app that I can find that allows you to directly download transactions from your bank and reconcile them with what you've entered. It totally replaced Quicken which I was using on my MacBook. I use the online banking apps mint and pageonce pro, but they only show real time data. iCompta allows me to schedule repetitive bills into my register and then reconcile them once they've been paid. If I deviate from my budget I can see the immediate results on my future balance once I enter the transaction.
It has a few quirks and a learning curve hence the 4 stars. If you can combine the functionality of this app and mint or pageonce together it would be the killer checkbook app!

### 4/5 — yes

*2010-09-18, version 0*

This app is the best if you want to spend just a few $$$, iPad version is awesome, it syncs between iPad and iPhone and you can buy desktop version which I do not need. Do not look around I spent a lot of $$$$ for financial app, this has everything, import, export, multi currencies, sync, reports, charts, etc...

### 5/5 — FIX YOUR REGISTRATION !

*2015-01-09, version 2.2.20*

The mistake was mine. I can register on their support site And the support is prompt. I had no hope anyone would respond . They did! Promptly and not some automated reply. A real like person replied back . The software now connects via ofx to my bank .. The trick is the app version which probably changed end of December the banks doing. Anyway it's all good .
I have one req: would it be possible to expand out the tax. Descriptions a bit more ? Every time I xfer from my various saving accts it just says from savings with no other indicator...

### 5/5 — Quicken to iCompta

*2011-08-23, version 2.2.8*

Switched from Quicken and have iCompta installed on my iPhone 4 & also the iCompta app installed on my MAC using Lion. They sync perfectly back and forth between the two. If you like charts and graphs this is def the app to get for personal accounting !

### 5/5 — Why did I think I'd find any better?

*2011-03-21, version 2.2.6*

I tried Pocket Money because it "looked" easier. I ended up right back with iCompta.
I find the sync is flawless and so much easier than most. There is a small learning curve as there are some differences from some of the other programs out there but this program, along with the desktop, is working...and that's all I want...easy and accurate.
If you take the time to learn and ask when you have questions, you'll soon come to love it. Don't be afraid to ask the developer questions. Cyril has always responded to my inquiries and helped me to learn. I'll stick with this one.

### 5/5 — best finance app EVER

*2010-11-28, version 2.2.3*

I've been using Quicken since 2004, and desperately sought an app that would sync seamlessly with my computer. Although I resisted it at first because I hate anything named "i____" I eventually had to cave and get over the stupid name.

This app is completely reliable, has made it much easier for me to keep track of my spending, both in $ and €. Having all the info right there on my phone at all times is critical.

Cyril Anger has always been quick to reply to my questions via email, even teaching me something I didn't know- that I could create a network between my computer & my iphone when I was in a place with no wifi.

My main hesitation in switching to Verizon/Droid is that this app might not be available for Droid yet. Everything else I can live without or find a substitute for.

### 5/5 — Very nice tool

*2010-11-05, version 0*

Updating for upgrade 2.2.2: Now it is a 5 star app. Great changes.

Using on ipad, this is a very nice tool. I like the reports, the ability to graph various budgets and accounts. Splitting entries is a little tricky (percent v. $) but certainly not insurmountable. Especially when in Budget, a few cents here and there is OK since I round all my entries to nearest whold dollar. I don't sync with other users so that, for me is not an issue I can address. I like it and it does work.

### 5/5 — It's awesome!!!

*2010-09-09, version 0*

This is always the best application although I don't know how to manage it completely but it's has improved my life...

### 5/5 — great app & great support

*2010-08-26, version 0*

Not only is this a really easy and complete app to use the support is just amazing. The developper replies very quickly and is very very helpful.
Best app for keeping my books straight (and I bought a few on my iphone).

### 5/5 — Keeps getting better!

*2010-08-21, version 0*

The update to include every two-week repeating transactions makes it perfect for me! Worth every penny.

### 5/5 — BUY THIS ! !

*2010-08-01, version 0*

Iif your simple minded as I, then this is an easy app to use and lots of features form those like to think that they know it all. Want a lot for your money, it's here also. Only app that use words like wage, or your income. I like to thank the makers about thinking of us working men, blue collar guys. A ⑤ s他 app. Wooph, I use one of the term used in other app's. Do as I, look it up!

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2010-07-20, version 0*

Quick way to track all your expenses. Able to stay on budget with this.
