## What is iControl Web?

Call any URL with an appropriate sized button on any of your devices (iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch). The screens can be configured according to your needs using a json file.

The app is ideal for all home automation systems which support http:
- i.e. DIY, HomeWizard, PEHA-House-Control-System, PHC, DigitalSTROM, KNX, control4, Domoticz.
- It can also be used to control your IP camera (i.e. Mobotix) 
- Or as a remote control for some HDMI DLNA adapter
- The app and watch app can also be used to trigger IFTTT.

In summary: Use iTunes file sharing (in Finder) or the Files App to get a sample json file for your configuration (can also be downloaded from GitHub). Name your file gui.json. The sample contains the full structure. You may want to use a json editor. If you have messed up your gui.json, remove it from the App (delete the file) to get a new guiSample.json. You may use http or https for calling a remote command within this App or other known URL schemes to open another App (iPhone/iPad only).

Support for self-signed certificates is not includes on purpose. There are many free possibilities to get a certificate of different flavor,
i.e. Let’s Encrypt (this is not a recommendation, but it can serve as a starting point for your search).

This app can be controlled via its own custom protocol icontrol://. Currently it only supports the execution of a command. (See guiSample.json for an example)

I’ve been using it for years but after IOS 26 it is not possible to load anymore the config json file using “open in another app” option. We have to do that via iTune.

Love that this is simple, stand-alone and needs no cloud account. Runs 100% local and configured 100% local. 

Works every time. 

Using to control OpenSprinkler and other things with API on local network. 

I really hope that new releases of iOS never kill it though!

Absolument génial et c’est enfantin de créer un fichier qui fonctionne parfaitement. Manque deux trois trucs comme la possibilité de revenir au premier écran après des actions de sous menu par exemple pour éviter de les relancer par erreur (je ne suis pas un grand adepte des contextmenu, le temps d’appui est trop long). Mais franchement ça m’a permi de faire plein de possibilité de commande de l’eedomus avec l’Apple Watch.

Ich betreibe ein Smarthome System von DigitalSTROM / Watch 4 / IOS 13 / watchOS 6
Hierfür habe ich eine einfache und schlanke Lösung zur Steuerung gesucht. Da ich das Thema Spracheingabe manchmal kritisch sehe, habe ich mich sehr über den Hinweis zu dieser App gefreut. Nun lassen sich sowohl Szenen als auch alle Räume über die App individuell steuern.
Die Einrichtung über den Datei Import mit iTunes gelingt sehr schnell und leicht. Hier hilft auch die Anleitung von DigitalStrom. 
Sobald man die App im Dock der Watch eingebunden hat, hat man schnellen und unkomplizierten Zugriff auf alle Smart Home Komponenten!
Einziger Wermutstropfen, die Einbindung der App in die Komplikation der Watch funktioniert nicht so wie sie sollten. Auch wenn die App bei Komplikationen angezeigt wird, lässt sie sich nicht auf den Bildschirm integrieren. Vielleicht hilft dir ein Update der App auf iOS 13 / Watch OS 6 weiter.

Nachtrag: App wurde aktualisiert und es läuft super auf der Watch. Aber man muss es am besten direkt auf der Uhr einstellen, nicht über die IPhone Auswahl. Jetzt ist es perfekt.
