Also was scanning known fake ID's as real ones, very unreliable. ### 1/5 — Connecticut *2015-11-07, version 2.05* Can not even read Connecticut licenses. Real ones come up as fake. Absolute fraud. All you have to do is adapt to the firstname last name format of CT and the app might.... People that definitely looked over 40 had the app say their IDs were fake. I tried it on my own since I’m 23 and the app couldn’t even read the barcode on my license. She has a CT license, and this stupid app said that it was a fake id. Except it wasn’t. Then I tried to scan my REAL license and it told me to try again because that was a fake ID. Hm don't think the DMV is handing out fake IDs these days so I tried scanning my roommates REAL license.. also came up that it was a fake ID!! Waste of my time! The new changes are great, quick scans and most of the time very accurate! ### 5/5 — Bar Manager *2018-05-20, version 2.05* Work at a local bar with a lot of College kids I use this at the door and it identifies fake ID’s instantly, word has gotten out that we use ID Scanner and it has deterred a lot of the college kids from coming especially since these ID’s are costing them $50-$75 and we are required to confiscate them! ### 5/5 — Works great for an app *2015-01-14* Works well for my needs. I only scan a few people a day and it is a bit annoying to focus the camera. The interface is REALLY nice. Caught 2 kids trying to get in the first weekend. Ran out of free scans so decided to buy the professional id scanner they sell from patronscan. It is awesome! It does read NY ids. Nice design. The only problem is it takes a bit for the camera to focus. So not great for the busy nights. Cheapest and best quality ID scanning app. ### 4/5 — Great app *2015-01-15* This app is really good for the price. Compared to other id scanning apps i found this one to be the best. We currently use it often at the venue i work for but we are thinking of upgrading to a more advanced scanner as none of these apps seem to scan passports and we want to make sure we are scanning everyone in. I paid $9.99 for 1500 scans, it charged me twice but only gave me 1500 scans. Emailed the company and never got a response. I hadn't used it in a few days and had 1411 scans left, opened it today and it said I had 23 left.
