علی اسفندیاری مشهور به نیما یوشیج (زادهٔ ۲۱ آبان ۱۲۷۴ در دهکدهٔ یوش، بخش بلده از توابع شهرستان نور استان مازندران - درگذشتهٔ ۱۳ دی ۱۳۳۸[در شمیران، تهران) شاعر معاصر ایرانی و ملقب به پدر شعر نوی فارسی است. وی بنیانگذار شعر نو فارسی است.
