الطريقة البرهانية الدسوقية الشـاذلية هى طريقة سيدى إبراهيم القرشى الدسوقى ، والتي ظلت وديعة بأحشاء الزمان حتى أذن الله لها أن تحيا على يد سيدى فخر الدين الشيخ محمد عثمان عبده؛ البرهانى طريقةً والمالكى مذهباً والسودانى مولدا فى سنة 1902م والذى تواترت إليه الطريقة كابرا عن كابر؛ جدا فجد حيث اتصلت به ظاهرا عن طريق جده ’الحاج فضل‘ الذى أخذ الطريقة عن سيدى ’إدريس ود الأرباب‘ صاحب المقام المعروف بالعيلفون (بلدة قرب الخرطوم بالسودان) والذى أخذ الطريقة عن سيدى الشريف ’أبى دنانه‘ عن سيدى ’أحمد زروق‘ المغربى عن سيدى ’أبى المواهب الشاذلى‘ حفيد سيدى ’أبى الحسن الشاذلى‘ والذى ألف بين أوراد القطبين الكبيرين سيدى إبراهيم الدسوقى وسيدى أبى الحسن الشاذلى فكان أول من رفع لواء الطريقة الممزوجة {الدسوقية الشاذلية} حتى كتب الله لذلك كله أن يظهر مؤيدا منصورا على يد سيدى فخر الدين الشيخ ’محمد عثمان عبده البرهانى‘. فعلت الراية فى أرجاء المعمورة مشرقا ومغربا, ودخل الألوف على يديه فى دين الحبيب المصطفى  سالكين إلى الله على طريقته منتفعين بحلقات علمه اليومية فى الفقه وعلوم التصوف.
